Excellent movie. You guys had me worried it was going to be shallow. Sure, it referenced modern issues and identity politics.

Overall great movie.

Take your kids or your GF!

Why do people think Disney having anthropomorphic animals is propaganda? They've been doing that shit since the 1930's
>>
I agree. I just wish I had something interesting to say about the movie.

Unfortunately, I really don't. I saw the movie, and it was good, but I can't think of anything noteworthy to say about it.

Thanks Mr. Shill

Except it wasn't really a good critique of anything, the parallels don't work.

I want to fuck that bunny

I thought the parallels being vague worked extremely well. Predators weren't necessarily niggers, and prey weren't necessarily whiteys. It was more complicated than that, like actual race.

It was even better with Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy.

People are retarded. I learned that lesson at the age of 10.
>>

Which itself was based off of "funny animal" tales which were popular published works for middle and upper class children throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries. That itself is based on the tradition of talking-animal fairytales going back in all cultures, although most relevantly in European culture, for literally thousands of years.

Pretty much ever since we invented fiction as a species we started making stories based around the concept of "what if X animal had Y human characteristics."

We've been making art since we fell out of the trees, man.

I'll bet we've been telling stories and tall tales for just as long, too.
>>
Anyways... I really enjoyed the world of this movie and how alive it felt. I also think it showed a'lot of realism to kids without being too cynical.

We all grew up, like Judy, thinking that world society is fair....

Then you go onto Twitter!

I'd give her my carrot

Doesn't change the fact that it can't be applied to real world. Which is fine, if that's what they were going for. Except it doesn't matter anyway, because idiots will say it's about Trump.
>>
I want to see it but have no friends and I dont wanna go alone because I would be judged by the people there

become a furry and go with a bunch of them

Pretty sure the movie was already being rendered long before Trump announced his candidacy.

But your right... people on both sides will make that connection.
>>
>>67146275
This happened to me, parents are hyper conservative and we saw the movie while they were visiting, mom tried to give a rant about the movie and Trump afterwards in the theater lobby but I changed that topic real quick.

I can't see it because all my friends already went and if I go alone, people will assume I am masturbating.
>>
>>67146968
I don't think normies will, they are largely and mercifully ignorant of furfags
They will however assume you're a pedophile
>>
>>67146968
They will not. The real world is not this shithole of a board. They'll assume you are, you know, watching a movie.
>>
>>67146107
I used to think that way but then I just said "fuck it" and went alone. And it's great watching movies alone. No one to distract or annoy you.
>>
>>67146968

well...

will they be right?
>>
>>67146968

Has there been better casting for Jason Bateman since Arrested Development than this?
>>
>>67146968
why do you guys think other people in the theater are even going to notice you? Maybe if you're 300lb with hair to your back and an mlp tshirt but if you're joe schmoeing it no ones gonna give half a fuck.
