>>9708259I don't like it either, but whatever. The art is good. But the people who say things like "I want to write stories just as bad as Eloquence and other cucking stories but with Nick cucking Judy because I'm so mad about those stories" are just writing bad stories. There's a huge difference between a fic with a different ship and being someone who would go out of their way to write what amounts to revenge porn.

>>9708324I think the initial idea was that Judy cheats on Nick and doesn't put up with that and ends up with Violet. It still has a problem of Judy cheating on Nick for no reason other than being a whore and not giving a fuck about Nick. Why can't premise be that Judy and Nick are friends and Judy decides to help her sister get together with Nick, since she has a crush on him, or something to that effect? Why does it have to be cuck or cheating, just write a nice fluffy (maybe even lewd) Violet/Nick story, for fuck's sake.

>>9708324So, can we just all agree not to write revenge porn then? If you want to write SavageHopps, WildeViolet, or any other non-WildeHopps ship, just write about the pairing and not a third party in some love triangle going abloo?

Hello everyone! I just finished the 3rd chapter of A Fox Tribe's Rabbit.I little slow, relaxing chapter, of the two of them actually having the time to talk. This chapter also can be considered TT entry since it plays during the night. (that was an unintended coincidence)Hope you will enjoy it:https://pastebin.com/u/AFoxTribesRabbit>>9674200> maybe make Nick more of a smartass and better at social engineering. Him knowing everybody and being able to form connections and his sense of humor are important parts of his character.I agree, only problem is that this would go against the premise set by BoneyM's A Rabbit Clan's Fox. Nick is at the bottom of the "food-chain" in his tribe, it would take one warrior to mistake his humor to disrespect and he would get a horrible beating. I did try to keep him a bit snarky, but it will only show with foxes relativly equal with him, and Judy.
>>9708680>my fetish in therei love you tgg

>>9709738Yes, thank you.
>>9708888this is just character bashing at this point
>>9709738>it would take one warrior to mistake his humor to disrespect and he would get a horrible beatingHence why he would mask his disrespect with very subtle sarcasm. In general, there has to be something others respect him for. In BoneyM's fic the gear he crafts is excellent, and in real history such craftsmen were in very short supply and in very high regard. Otherwise you kinda write him as a tribe's punching bag and that's just meh.
>>9709771>That one wolf guy with diabetes>who most likely is part of the nighthowler plot and the one that darted DoraYeah, that does pretty much does sound like he's the objective worst of pack street.
>>9709785Are you the artist?

would these threads read light watersports (like scent-marking experimentation) or is that too degenerate
>>9709983yes
>>9709983Only one way to find out
>>9709847But in BoneyM's fic it was also explained, that he was not allowed to work as a crafter...He was kinda a punching bad of the fox tribe even in ARCF. That was one of the reasons he started to enjoy the easy life among rabbits. In fact, I talk about THAT in this chapterbut in short, there are facts from BoneyM's ARCF:-He has no "Ancestor" and that means he is not allowed to work officially as a crafter.-He only trades his crafts to a few hunters in secret.-Those hunters extorted him, giving him scarce spoils of their hunt for the best of his work, because they knew he can't complain to anyone, because what he did was illegal.I tried to recapture this premise and fill up some holes
So I was recently thinking about Pack Street,(I want to make clear I do not make any real life race/class comparisons and this is only about the world of Zootopia/PS)I noticed that there is this kind of a bias against prey. Since the start prey are being portrayed in a bad light. When some prey appears they are practically always an asshole, there was Velvet's bro, that cunt ewe, asshole pig, that dipshit stag and all of the prey onlookers, the bunnies that broke Wolter's heart, Al's rodent bosses, Remmy's boss and probably family...The only prey that are good in the stories are Velvet, who got and still gets a lot of shit for the Fall Back controversy, and Remmy. And even he is disliked by a lot of people here. While prey are described as the bad, distrusting group where bias and specieism is a norm, the preds are always the really open and possitive group, the few assholes on this side like the bear or Phil are just bad apples.Remmy gets always lectured on how bad and unfriendly he acts, and as much as true that is, some members of the pack are as much guilty, but that is always overlooked or excused with sometimes really flawed "It was for your good" or "This is how it works here" or "You just don't get it". There is always that presence telling Remmy "Just look at how much this is better then what you had previously. Just look at how much the pack is better than what you come from." Al even got outright disgusted when Remmy talked about herd.To herd, I feel herd could have been used as a tool to show that while prey and pred are different they have a lot more in common than they one would believe. Instead it ended as a direct opposite to pack. "Look at how much our open and friendly and helpful pack is better than your intolerant, strict, xenophobic herd" I do believe that Weaver tries to portray the situation as neutral and both sided as he can, but I feel he put a little more of good into the pred basket. But this is just my observation.
>>9709983God, yes. A thousand times yes.
>>9709766>>9709785You are most wecome!Hope you enjoyed it.
>>9710061Yeah, I just read that. That explains it. Still, disregarding a skilled craftsmammal like that seems kinda stupid. I hope the fic will end with reformation of this ridiculous social structure. Or maybe Nick will become an Ancestor himself with some great deed. Or Judy. Or them together.
>>9710076Probably a situation where "everyone sucks, but since we're in our neighbourhood we're more comfortable and friendly, at least to each other."
>>9710144>disregarding a skilled craftsmammal like that seems kinda stupidWelcome to caste systems. It's hugely inefficient but it solidifies the position of those in power.
What degenerate things do the Pack like to do in bed?
>>9710076Oh no, he definitely made prey evil and intolerant and predators the kindest people ever, even when shit happens they are justified or just flawed and apologize. A pack is alright letting a sheep and anyone in, they're a big fluffy family. A herd is hard and kills babies, etc. Predators have suffered from prey attacks and collars. Prey never suffered anything. Prey see predator teeth and think they are monsters, predators have to keep mouth shut when smiling. Predators try to win life and become successfully through their merit and get shot down by THE MAN, who are prey. Canon curd club etc. I thought it was just setting for Remmy to notice how he now see people mistreating predators, but it obvious as fuck.

There have been mentions of the negative aspects of pred life (Charlie's odd jobs, Wolt getting into trouble with the law, Whatever the fuck's going on with Ozzy) but nothing too bad. But the goal of season one I think was to get Remmy inducted into the Pack. Anything that would have made him realize that preds are equally as shitty as prey wouldn't have been productive towards that goal.I feel like season two will up the ante a little bit. Make Remmy realize that he was just a little bit right about his biases, as well as having him accept his neighbours for who they are, warts an all. That's just how I see it I guess

>>9710615I guess I shouldn't have said "in any other fucking way"; as you said there is Guardian Blue, then there is Fox on the Run, Electric Eldritch Eidolon, If It Ever Happens. Even if a few of those has Jack working as some type of agent, at least he isn't used as a plot device and as an actual character.Just the ratio compared to fics that can't help but have Judy basically drip at the sheer thought of Jack is staggering.
>>9710570Come on, you have to have expected it at this point. I mean if the story, is the story I think you are talking about. Right from the get go the "teaser" of a later event, had Judy happy that she can finally kill Nick or some shit. It's a stupid drama/angst pull where the author doesn't know how to right anything except that shit.>>9710615I still think it was a MASSIVE dick move for Jack to tell Bogo Nick and Judy were together, so they can be sent on a new case right from the get go.I mean give them a fucking break, they are so damn soon early into their relationship and to be sent under something that could give them great duress? That's a sure fire way for them to question and wonder what they have together could work. (And the fact that neither websites have a Judy/Nick tag or even "Romance" fills me with a dread that made me give up on the sequal.)

Fuck that.>And the fact that neither websites have a Judy/Nick tag or even "Romance" fills me with a dread that made me give up on the sequalHonestly, I am not really afraid for WildeHopps in Guardian Blue. Judy almost literally went to hell for Nick, while he basically made a life promise to her that he is going to stay by her side no matter what. In just the series alone they have done a lot for each other, helping heal each other's wounds, and stuck by each other through it all. I don't think there is a real worry for them to question what they have; there isn't family drama to rip them apart, they don't give a crap about the public reaction, and they don't have eyes for anyone but each other. This might be a bit of a stretch thinking, but I feel the author hasn't put a Judy/Nick tag or Romance tag because he doesn't believe those are the focus of the stories. The relationship development just happens, while the fic focuses on this adventure/slice of life plot.

Reshilling for the author, since I think it was missed for the most part.https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11866956/9/I do remember that the threads were rather into "Officer Needs Assistance" and yesterday saw an update to it, finally.Thing's work out, for the most part. One hell of a double standard when it comes to Nick's mistakes, (not getting into the fact that it was pretty much Judy's fault for everything that happened to him and them.) Like really. The saddening angst seems to have finally ended. At least, somewhat.

>>9711735I don't blame you for the reaction, after so many stories of crap in the fandom, it is understandable to have caution. I think this author has more than proven themselves though; I would like to think someone wouldn't write three stories of build up, consistent interaction between Nick and Judy actually caring and communicating with each other, just to pull a fast one on their readers. The sequel, Season 2, is really really good so far.

Gives me some serious mood whip lash. But I think it was because I was fully ready for some super depressing angst/practically-tragedy level stuff to happen. It leaves me happy that the shit didn't happen, but still worried for what could happen. (Since it has all but been proven that they can't work together in a professional capacity, unless their feelings get in the way.)And Nick is going to be under such a fine-toothed comb and most of his job options are going to be locked away from him and then some.

>>9712029>And Nick is going to be under such a fine-toothed comb and most of his job options are going to be locked away from him and then some.True. Though let's not make Nick a manipulated child here, he chose to go buy that shit. Judy didn't help at all, Nick almost died three times due to her (Shot, Apartment Bleedout, Withdrawal) and she's like "teehee im sorry :-9", but she didn't make that decision for him. Also I thought a lot of options he didn't consider already due to his past. Career wise, I have absolutely no idea how either are going work. I get it if you want to write "You two are so good that I want to keep you together, don't mess up again", but they messed up DUE to the fact they were with one another, Nick turned into a wreck due to it, Judy suddenly changed completely, becoming shut down and erratic over it. I really get it if you want to write drama where it's angsty as fuck but this painted both of them as pretty out of control, and putting them together as such a massive bad idea.

>>9712029The problem of that fic is the contrived reason (or, rather, lack thereof) why Judy refused to communicate with Nick and explain anything until it was too late. It's just giving the character an idiot ball to force drama. Nick is no better, but at least his side is somewhat understandable.

>>9712263>I really get it if you want to write drama where it's angsty as fuck but this painted both of them as pretty out of control, and putting them together as such a massive bad idea. For some reason, this reminds me of a fic where Nick and Judy were dancing around their relationship, while also going through therapy. In the end, the therapist came to the conclusion that they were too reliant on each other and suggested that they needed to find time away from each other; not completely, but separate each other so they aren't 24/7 around each other, so they can have a healthier relationship. Nick had some hang ups, they dated other people for a while, and eventually got back together and married. I think it was "Skinny Love" or something like that?
>>9712271Well some perfer to have it whle in their mout. Some perer to have it all over the face. And then there are those who bite the ice cream with the cone off, and I can tell you that this is a very messy and unpleasent way.

>>9712342I also felt the apology and everything was too... I don't know, flat? I mean if you go by the movie, it would be equal to it and be fine. But Judy didn't screw up a bit, not a good amount, not a lot. Nick was shot almost dead and she chose to run away, no matter the reasons, no matter how she felt, no matter the shame or the anger or whatever, there really isn't a situation that is any more fucked up than that. I honestly feel the author should have made Nick a lot more angry or uncaring and Judy a lot more desperate or regretful, maybe even autodestructive since from what we seen she was just "yeah time to do my rounds at tundratown now" while Nick was an oil train on fire. No, saying she was a wreck hiding home and staying that isn't going to make me feel any sympathy for her. Right now it feels a bit like "yeah! i got the girl! fuck, that was hard", and doesn't make me feel what I was expected from the whole thing. I liked it, obviously, else I wouldn't have read everything. I'm glad the possibility of a buck was introduced even if to have shot down quickly, I really felt a lot of answers Judy owed Nick weren't given. Sure you can say "I did everything because I felt bad", but she was way too fucking shitty, really felt lackluster, and Judy doesn't seem that desperate to make it up to him, either. Sure forgive and forget, just feel like Judy could shit on Nick, hurt him, abandon him and leave him to almost die, show up a day and kiss him and he'd be fine with all that because "She loves me!".
>>9712272Trudy "swallow first ask question later" loops
>>9712342It really could have been handled a lot better than it was. Frankly, I expected the reason she couldn't talk to him is that she wasn't there in the apartment, but was undercover. That would have dovetailed nicely with Nick's later run-in, and would actually be in character for her to hide, but instead it was "Abloo. No talk = Drama"
>>9711830Well, I saw it requested a lot, so I thought that maybe I will make some people happy drawing this>>9712241...Yes, obviously
>>9712263I meant that it started with Judy pretty much shutting down which caused everything to spiral out of control. I ain't saying that she's to blame for him trying to bye that shit, that's on him. Without a doubt.I do agree that Nick was pretty damn emotive and loud about everything, but I would give him the benefit of the doubt due to everything happening. He felt betrayed and abandoned by someone he NEVER thought would hurt him again. He decided to throw his mantra away and she her how terrible she hurt him.And I would also argue that Judy's Changing/shutting down does make some sense, (But I will admit the author went to the logical extreme of it.) We did see Judy still trying to fix her mistake's in the movie. But when she finally realized that she can't/ was being Idolized for her actions? She gave up and ran away. Also she did say that she wanted to jump Nick's bones if she even saw him and she fully believed he would have none of it. Just think about how terrible that would go down, if Nick really didn't care about her like she wanted. Of course she wouldn't do anything to harm him, and she wouldn't be able to tell him the truth, since that would (in her mind/eyes) go over terribly. And then when she fully believed that she broke the friendship that she had with Nick? She ran away and gave up, assumed and thought nothing would change.I like to say that it's a 1 to 1 deal.I think the only way she could ever make it up to him, is constantly push/help him, even if Nick thinks it's ok to not help him.>>9712361Yup. The name was "The Strides of Skinny Love" I loved the start of it along with the buildup but the ending when they separated was a huge "Wait what!? When did that happen!?" But it made sense in the end.The author did some other really nice Zootopia stuff, but they seemed to have given up on Zootopia even though more stuff was planned/worked on. And now they are doing fic's on Voltron.... Rip a rather good author.

We did see Judy still trying to fix her mistake's in the movie. But when she finally realized that she can't/ was being Idolized for her actions? She gave up and ran away.It does make sense, that wasn't what I'm arguing. What I'm arguing is that she isn't reliable career wise, especially when he's involved. Maybe even if he isn't involved, her nature on the fic makes her someone really fucked up. She ran away and gave up, assumed and thought nothing would change.I agree, I'm not saying she had no reason to behave the way she did or it wasn't true to her movie self, I just mean in universe she's way too volatile there. Also that justification makes the situation even worse. Judy didn't go to support Nick after he almost died because she was thinking that he might not be interested in her romantically, basically. People would jump with an axe if it was swapped, Judy get shot, almost die and Nick is worried to go because she might not want to smooch him and he really needs bun smooches.

The only way this can ever work out is this:Judy works tirelessly to do everything in her power to support Nick, even if he doesn't want/think she needs to.She seeks a shrink or department psychiatrist to try and get her to understand that what she did is super fucking bad, and needs ways for her mind to not self-destruct. And trying to understand what's wrong with her. They also need some kind of relationship counselor to help them out since it has been shown they can't communicate until it's practically too late. And I don't even know what else when it comes to her.

That rarely happens in fics. I can understand Judy doing something horrible, but if you're going to go with "she apologizes and Nick and her cuddle" feels undeserved. Nick can forgive her, doesn't mean he has to continue like nothing happened.

When I left the movie all I had gotten for her is that she was trying hard to be good and could make mistakes due to inexperience or not seeing the whole picture, which is something Nick was going to help her with from the movie onwards. You know I love you.">Nick wrapped both arms around her and kissed the top of her head.>"Well," started Judy, Nick's eyes opening with suspicion, "Yesterday while on foot patrol, I stopped this guy who was jay walking outside the university. I gave him a warning but then we had a bit of a chat. >>9713797By omission.
>>9713632In the movie, Judy is a genuinely good person. Sure, she has her prejudices, but people seem to forget that one, she made a point throughout the movie to not be (and while the over-corrections made her look worse, they were still conscious corrections), and two, her fear of foxes was decidedly LEARNED, not just whipped up out of outlandish oversimplifications and misguided parental advice. The only thing you could really fault her for doing during the movie which is unquestionably bad was the shit she spewed at the press conference. I'd personally give her the fox spray, because she's a tiny rabbit in a city of huge mammals, and the spray doesn't just work on foxes. The fact that she so obviously profiled Nick outside the ice cream parlor is a bit of a grey area, because she'd obviously think of Gideon (the only fox she knew personally) after seeing her first fox in the city. She'd at least be curious at the bare minimum. Getting the fox spray unclipped and ready without even knowing the basics of the situation is pretty shitty, though. I guess that's two things to fault her for. Still, she tried to make up for it. Being a hypocrite is better than just being shitty to the core.
Green Text Theatre; The Red Rabbit p2>"Oh c'mon Nick, I'll keep it discreet, we'll find a little motel across town, no one will notice and…">"OK, I see where you're going with this and," nick paused for effect, Judy shrinking away, " and I agree.">Judy's eyes opened like she'd been stuck with a pin.>"BUT," continued Nick, "we're going to do it here, and I'm going to be present.">Judy just lay there perplexed, she'd half expected Nick to totally forbid such a venture, or at least start a long argument against it.>But he'd accepted it, although the conditions now started to worry in her a bit.>"So, you don't mind but what, you want to watch?" stammered Judy, "that's a little kinky even for you isn't it Nick?">"Ah, Judy Judy Judy," began Nick, "with those extra eight years or so up my sleeve, I've been around a bit, and know a thing or two that you probably just as well not know. So, not only am I going to be present, I'm thinking I might even join in.">"You're not planning on doing anything to or with HIM are you?" Judy stammered, looking at Nick gobsmacked.>Nick pulled a disdained face, "C'mon Carrots, you know I don't swing that way.">Judy ventured a nervous smile, "Well I'm relieved to hear that, but-">Nick sat up and pulled Judy into his lap, "You see Judy, this possibility has crossed my mind as well and, while I doubt a buck rabbit could ever replace me, I did worry somewhat about you maybe getting a little emotionally involved, if you know what I mean.">"Nick I -">Nick shushed her and continued, "OK, this is how I think it should go. You contact him and see if he's up for it, then we can pay for him to go and have a medical checkup. We invite him over one night for dinner, something simple, don't want to get him all bloated and stuff, then we can chat about his family or whatever.">"So how do we end up in the bedroom?" asked Judy.

Green Text Theatre; The Red Rabbit p3>"Well first off, don't tell him anything about me being there," stated Nick, "I'll calm that all over when he gets here. When the time comes, I'll probably suggest it. Now when he realises that I'm going to be in there too, I expect that to slow him down a bit, so we might need to put on a bit of a show eh?">"Now I KNOW you watched too many of those video's I found in your old apartment." moaned Judy.>"Hear me out Carrots, I've looked at this from a few angles, and I think I can see how it will run. We all go into the bedroom, we go ahead and take our clothes off near your dresser, and you can suggest he gets his gear off near that corner chair. If he's nervous, maybe you can help him?">"That might be fun, he did look pretty fit." smirked Judy.>"Uh uh ah Judy, now here's where I want to lay down some ground rules," begins nick with an authoritative voice, "first off, I don't want you to handle his body in any way.">"But-">"I don't want you to kiss him, or visa-versa.">"Sounds a bit like the green eyed monster Nick," accused Judy.>"Hey Fluff, I AM the red monster, and my eyes ARE green," he growled jokingly, running his snout around one of her ears, "Anyway, if he's a bit slow getting up, I could do what I'm feeling a bit tempted to now, and eat you!">Judy slipped a paw behind her back and ran it down Nick's belly, and beyond.>"Um, where was I?" Nick huffed, "So, when he looks ready, I want you to roll over onto all fours and let nature take it's course. You can let him reach around if you or he wants."
Green Text Theatre; The Red Rabbit p4>"You make it sound too clinical Scruff, and why do you want me on all fours?" quizzed Judy.>"Well, once we're all aroused, I don't want you to make eye contact with him, only with me, it's that emotional thing I was talking about.">"And then," stated Nick with flurry, "I might kneel in front of you and let you have me.">"You're just too kinky Nick, you want to double end me?!">"Hey, it's called a 'Spit-Roast' sweetheart!">Judy punched him in the arm.Oh bugger, I just wrote a cuck, I think?RT Pilon.

I absolutely loathe the human in Zootopia type of fic, because it undermine the whole world upon which Zootopia is created. But this is different. First, it is Judy and Nick only on earth, so viceversa. Second, it is SCP like, a curious but interesting take. What I am saying is that this is probably the only reasonable way to make humans and Zootopians meet. Try it. If you loathe it and feel like it ruined your day and everything is terrible because of it I assume full responsibility
>>9713917>>9714066>>9714142>>9714175
>>9714611The latter seems like a sneaky, cheap way to get it back on the frontpage after all this time. I should probably put all the fanart in chapter 12, though.>>9714597I can't speak for other authors but please don't ever withhold a criticism for fear of making me feel bad. I listen to everyone and try to see my stories from their perspectives. You can't please everybody all of the time, etc, etc.
>>9714536>Maybe here, but not in the storyAgain, disagreeThe narrative is basically framed through Remmy and his gradually increasing awareness and forgiveness isn't the same as framing people as blameless. I don't even know if we're reading the same story at this point because he is CONSTANTLY griping about and pointing out all the unfair and hostile shit his neighbors doThey often get support from each other, like when one character makes excuses for another, but of course they'd take their own side -- that's not the same as the narrative saying they're blamelessThe constant arguments in this thread about "Remmy did nothing wrong, why is [character] being such a bitch" are proof that the predator characters are flawed, and sure, you can argue "oh well that's just reader interpretation", but it's not like those interpretations comes from thin air, you know what I'm saying?I don't know any poster anti-Remmy enough to say that none of his neighbors have ever been at least partially at fault
>>9714319Jensen a cute!CUTE!!!
>>9714671I feel like I'm going to have to repeat myself.Whether it is humans in Zootopia or Zootopians on Earth, I do not care. I have no interest in reading anything with humans in or out of Zootopia, full stop. I'm sure it's a nice story. I'm just not your audience.
>>9714723
>>9714689Because everyone is so used to stories being told in the 3rd person with impartial narration, it's hard to grasp that one being told in the 1st person has could have a skewed narration.
>>9714723Alright, I guess thanks for voicing your valuable opinion.Just wondering, what were you hoping to get out of posting "I won't read your story"? I can't think of a basic bitchier thing to post.
>>9714723I'm not the author. But sure, read what you want, obviously. But do not dismiss as a terrible work simply basing on the premise
>>9714743This, people in these threads are pretty stupid desu.
>>9714743So you're saying people overcompensate in the other direction? Remmy comes off so harsh against his neighbors that readers intentionally read the other way, that he's overreacting to everything?
>>9714723>>9714746OH MY GOD JUST FUCK ALREADY
>>9714746>>9714757Anons he's trying to stir some shit.Just ignore him.
>>9714653>The only thing Ozzy's done is get Remmy in troubleOne of the first things Ozzy does is the exact opposite of that.
>>9714762I've said it before about Pack Street - a lot of the time people's first instinct when there's a conflict is to decide who's in the right and who's in the wrong, when a lot of the time it's more complicated than that. Remmy's stubborn, socially inflexible, and leaps to conclusions, but his neighbours interpret everything he does through their own lens and don't stop to think whether their banter and hijinks would come off as cruel or intimidating to someone from a different culture. Both parties have a lot to learn about each other, but can overcome their differences to be one big happy family. And then they all fuck.
>>9714762No, I'm saying people are always assuming that everything that happens in the story is happening exactly as it is presented...when the story is being told from Remmy's viewpoint so we're seeing things as HE sees them. Not necessarily how they're actually happening.
>>9714746>>9714757This post >>9714331 wasn't me. I was just defending the idea that someone can have no interest in a story regardless of quality. Like I said, I'm sure it's written well.>>9714769I am not.
>>9710076What i've taken away from the story is that neither group has a good outward appearance. The prey characters tend to seem jumpy and react to uncomfortable things with aggressive displays while the predators have a very strong ingroup mentality and care/understand very little about how impenetrable their social codes are to the outgroup.
>>9714783Yeah, he saved Remmy from a bear at his party. A party that Remmy wouldn't have even been at if Ozzy had just kept it a little quieter.
>>9714689I may be rusty, but IIRC any situation where Remmy was get shat on was justified because of him doing something mean, insensitive and whatnot to, once again, turn his neighbors into the victim or at least try to paint him as the bad guy. The preachyness with pack and herd differences is still something I expect you to address on the second season (if it ever comes), I get narrative and interpretation, could be just Remmy going about it under his own experiences with the herd being bad towards him, but in sheepfacts he tried to at least be pretty impartial to it and it seemed to be "herds are prey groups and prey groups are evil, packs are pred and they are good people so they are good". Even the 'bad' parts of the pack turned out to be just memeing whereas Remmy was pretty clearly showing that the bad parts of the herd were very real.
>>9714769>trying to stir some shitJesus fuck Grow the fuck up
>>9714769Don't assume that. He made a mistake, got corrected, then simply said he was uninterested.I'm not offended. I understand on some level, actually. Someone could make a fic of the all the awful, 'mature' topics in the world and it could be the most expertly, emotionally, perfectly written piece of literature on the planet, but I still wouldn't read it.Different strokes for different folks.
>>9714843No.
>>9714766I would not ship those two Anon, they seem like they would just passively or aggressively snap at each other till one of them finally hits the breaks and leaves. Just not a great couple, IMO.
>>9714822I'm saying that going up to someone and telling them "I refuse to read your work on principle because it does something that I personally find distasteful and unbecoming of the media which I prefer to enjoy, that will be all, good day to you sir" is a basic bitch thing.
>>9714859Then I will keep my opinion to myself.

>>9714835>I may be rusty, but IIRC any situation where Remmy was get shat on was justified because of him doing something mean, insensitive and whatnot to, once again, turn his neighbors into the victim or at least try to paint him as the bad guy.I don't agree at allIn Fall Back, the whole argument was a clusterfuck and many actors involved behaved poorly, Remmy wasn't at fault and it only became his problem when he stepped way over the line at the end out of frustration (which the others had contributed to)If I had to venture a guess I think you're conflating narrative approval with character agreementOf course Remmy's neighbors are going to take each others sides rather than his -- they see him as the outsider and he's largely treated as such, and there's a power dynamic, social hierarchy, and basic camaraderie at work here, so obviously they're not going to be constantly falling over themselves to apologize for each other and praise Remmy with adulationsthey protect their own, but characters agreeing with other characters isn't the same as objectively saying they're all perfect and correctand even then don't act like these are some clear cut "right VS wrong" encounters -- like >>9714811 said, real conflicts are messy and in Pack there's rarely anyone who comes out of anything blamelessagain I think the reader reaction is more than proof enough that they have dirt on their paws too>Even the 'bad' parts of the pack turned out to be just memeing what the heck are you even talking aboutagain, of course the pack is going to defend itself and try to deflect criticismsremmy gradually seeing things with a more open and empathetic mind is not the same as capitulation
>>9714835Herds are good. They're just not good for Remmy.
>>9714956post new draws or you AREN'T weaver
>>9715030Why are we watching Doug try to look up pred porn?
>>9714956>what the heck are you even talking about>again, of course the pack is going to defend itself and try to deflect criticisms>remmy gradually seeing things with a more open and empathetic mind is not the same as capitulationThe whole bullshit of omega place in the pack. Also I'm not talking about what they said about the pack or how it was better or anything, I'm talking about the fact Remmy description of what herd were was that there were also an 'alpha' figure that called the shots and anyone could be shunned and cast out because of being different, in which he shown pretty clearly in it that he was uncomfortable with what was being said. Meanwhile, we get Al accepting Remmy as part of the pack despite him being a prey that fucked up repetitively previously, that he tries to get everyone's problem solved, that the beta tries to solve problems too, that everyone in it look after one another (BRE Marty, Ozzy), even the power dynamic was put down as simply a display of dominance with Al and Betty and the Omega not being shunned by the rest. Maybe those things are not every pack, but then it isn't something of Packs or Prey culture in general, but just Al's pack.
>>9715161So... basically you're arguing that packs, which are smaller and need inclusion more, are portrayed as more accepting out misfits and outliers, while herds, which are much larger and harder to manage, are less forgiving of deviants.
>>9714956
>>9715205I'm just arguing that while there were positive and negative things shown of predators, I have a hard time remembering something positive out of prey in pack street. I can understand narrator and whatnot but if not one thing is shown as positive of prey you might come off extremely biased.
>>9715244>I have a hard time remembering something positive out of prey in pack streetHis name's Remmy.
>>9715264
>>9715244All we know about prey social dynamics in Pack Street come from a few oblique references Remmy's made. You're pulling an awful lot out of your arse to fill in the gaps.
>>9715244I think you're missing the point of context. Prey don't need defending in this story. They're already sitting pretty before the story begins. Preds are the one Remmy goes in with a hostile attitude towards, revelatory and plot-relevant insight is obviously going to be based on changing that perception because that's kind of the whole point of the story, changing perception. Remmy doesn't need a bunch of revelations about how prey actually have good features because he already thinks prey are the bee's knees and they don't need to be built up.
>>9714674Well thanks anon, I had just finished joining mine together in photoshop, but yours looks better!I did look at the app(?) on pastebin, but I'm afraid I'm a computer luddite, and wouldn't know where to start. You young people and your technology!
>>9714953Very rude.
there are essentially two prey characters in PS. one of them is an ass and the other is neutral. this does not provide any significant information about the average quality of prey in this narrative in general.
>>9713352Will you post a link?

>>9714312I am on chapter 8, and so far I like it, mostly, but somethings stretch my suspension of disbelief too far. For example, classified facilities don't even allow employees to have cell phones on their person, so I can't really buy them letting an extraterrestrial have free roam of the facility and internet access, or being allowed to keep their belongings.
