First for Ewe Smooching!
Hi, /ztg/! Falke here shilling a worldbuilding TT one more time for the new thread.>Judy had seen a few brush fires growing up - some from lightning from the early storms, and some set intentionally when they were clearing land. A good tree-fed ladder wildfire didn't look much like that at all. It was mesmerizing. The singular sheet of flame was a good twenty feet tall, licking at even the tallest ponderosas down there like something alive. It hissed and roared loud as a waterfall now, and the heat that rolled over them was so intense it made Judy cringe away. She could feel her vest warming, even from here.>"Yeah." Carteret chuckled. She pulled the wide goggles down off her helmet and into place. "It looks hungry, too. If it shifts this way we're in trouble.">"You said it," Riles agreed from behind them. "Look at this space violation." He rapped his rake on the trunk of a skinny tree with reddish, waxy leaves. It was one of three standing in fresh mulch in the center of the yard. "Like an arrow pointing to the house.">Judy craned up at them, and the distress the wife had showed clicked a bit more. She must have planted these herself, and from the healthy look of them they were either brand new, or had been tended along for years.>And Judy knew what was coming next.>"When have these wannabe country folk ever listened to the warnings?" Carteret asked. "Coming right down. Get a fast break going at the edge. Six feet. We're not going to have time for more.">"You got it."https://archiveofourown.org/works/6727384/chapters/22841342

What is nitw and why does it make impossible to draw different things at the same time?
>>8223372>>8223394It's a generalization. Most Fanfic's paint Judy as this kind of perfect bun that can't do wrong. (Which stemmed from a bunch of tweets and reviews of the movie when it first came out.) Where they would go about on length about how perfect and flawless her character was.Be it that it WASN'T her fault that she plunged the city into a freaking race war. Most try and explain it as she panicked and didn't mean to say it.Or that it was Nick's fault for not giving her attention, or not agreeing with her all the time no matter what it could be.Or when Judy would do something REALLY fucking dangerous within a fic, straight out against police protocol and life threatening, and if Nick would call her out on it? She would get angry and defensive, and the author would make it out that HE was in the wrong. And Nick would say that HE was wrong, and that he was sorry to say those things. And all those cheating/cuck fic's that have Judy doing those things and harming Nick. And it would always be that it wasn't her fault for getting drunk, or that it was Nick's fault for not giving her affection. Thus it was okay for her to cheat, because she NEEDS sex.And when Nick would need to prove to her that he still loves her, and so on and so forth.(Which is where that meme comes from)
>>8223653Aw, why thank you!
>>8223508That was some nice comfy sheepdog snuggles Boney. I really like the twins' chapter I hope you do another one with them
>>8223576The lineless style makes the tips of her ears blend into the background. Might tweak the colors there - make the background in that spot lighter, or her eartips darker. The perspective on the river goes a little weird on the left of the image, after the tree - the near bank does something strange, and it widens in a way that I don't think perspective can quite explain. Consider making the near bank of the river there the same style as the river on the right of the image, and narrowing it.Also, not bad! Keep up the good work.

>>8223787Pardon me for asking, but I'm trying to finish a TT story and have a question -If Percy was on a camping trip, would he worry much about getting dirty or wet?Would Clancy?
Alsoweaver here with a bit of historical insightthis is basically appropos of nothing, but people were posting old reflections on the thread and involvement, and I just wanted to say for the recordthis picture is basically the reason I started drawing Zootopia stuffI really, really enjoyed the movie and I had ideas, but didn't bother dwelling on or developing them because I unconsciously didn't think I would be able to draw anythingI just figured that as beautiful and complex as the movie was I'd never be able to work with it with my own garbage art styleI did a few "Judy drawn as Ruby" pictures, as a joke, and never put much thought beyond thatthen I saw this picture in one of the threads, the sort of "gumdrop head" Judy designand I thought hey, maybe I can do thismaybe I can draw Zootopia characters in my style after all, if I really try
Who made this? I never found a source when it was re posted

Eh, everyone is doing it so might as well shill my TT.
>>8223836Huh, cool. Thanks for that, I always like to hear how people develop the ideas for their art.
>>8223836that day, I filled up a few whole canvases with judy sketches based on this simplistic headshape-style -- most of them lost, but I did save the last page of them -- which I thought were the best lookingI was actually really proud of them, which I know is a pretty silly thing, but nonetheless, I felt like maybe this really was feasible after alland the rest, I suppose, is history
>>8223669>she NEEDS sexRabbits being whores on biological level/getting into heat is the worst trope in this fandom. It's just a bullshit plot device to get Judy to sleep around, because otherwise it'd be completely out of character for her.
I don't know what I'mn doing but give me a draw request with some reference and I'll try
>>8223669>Be it that it WASN'T her fault that she plunged the city into a freaking race war. Most try and explain it as she panicked and didn't mean to say it.This might be the thing that triggers me the most in this fandom, Judy completely meant what she said at the press conference, she just didn't think of the consequences or impact her words would have. You can see it in how she tries to justify what she said to Nick. She might have thought of Nick as "Nick", but she was also ignoring that he was as much a predator as everyone else.>"I was just stating the facts of the case." >"Nick, stop it. You're not like them." >"You know what I mean, you're not that kind of predator."It wasn't until Nick took a stance that reminded her of a traumatic childhood memory that she realized Nick was just as much a predator as he was Nick. Then it isn't until later, when she sees the undisguised prejudice against predators, that Judy realizes how wrong she was in her mindset. Was Nick also in the wrong for his actions at the press conference? Arguable; he did give Judy almost every chance to step back and take back what she said, and she just stepped further and further into the mud. >>8223734https://twitter.com/mongoose369/mediaI retract my statement, they opened their twitter again.

>>8224034>Avo with her tongue out looks pretty hotDid you also notice the trail of saliva?
>>8224032Ah, I feel you. You don't have to make it look beat up; it's probably gotten pretty good maintenance over the years and probably looks like a survivor.
>>8223669>>8223869I kind of want a fic where everyone assumes that rabbits have multiple partners/fool around a lot, and Judy just explodes going "No! Rabbits are faithful!"There was an one-shot where Judy even goes "Rabbits are SUPER monogamous." and when they get into "season" they don't even need sex, just the companionship of whoever they are attracted to. I laughed when I read it again a few days ago, considering the trope of rabbits now.
>>8224026I'll head over to ticketmaster, as long as you wear that fleece.
>>8224033good times but phone off bunner, sleep now.

>>8224067So rabbits are the vulcans of Zootopia in this case? They're these reserved, chaste, and focused because as soon as they stop being that they just go fucking mental?
>>8224081you're not my real dad
>>8224050Yea i had to look at it several times to actually notice it
>>8223885I think there was one Fic that did it fairly well with it being her fault yet not really. In that Nick explained to Judy that the "City was already fractured." The speciesm was still there and it was in the background, but when Judy couldn't stop herself? She pretty much became the spark to light the the gods damn inferno. It was still her fault, but if she didn't do it? It was going to happen anyways. Just later on, and possibly even worse.I still fucking love that she wasn't "cured" by the end of the movie either. She is still flawed, and quite possibly still has those backwards views. But she now understands her faults, and knows she needs to change. It's pretty much when the movie ends, is when she finally start's to change for the better.I personally always felt that her final speech during Nick's graduation is just a projection of her own emotions, and she is bringing them out for all to see. Without anyone except Nick that really understands the truth behind them.>>8223956 Same here, and I won't lie. When she said that line? I straight up said "OH SHIT" in the movie theater. I was shocked that it got to that point, but boy was the fallout great.

Don't believe the dumb doomposting. I'm not going to leave Zoot, folks.I am, however, going to stop beaverposting. Beav has evolved into a character of his own and I feel it's no longer fair for me to use him as my zoosona/avatar, so I'll probably just use my regular fursona from now on. What do we know about Charlie?Well for starters, she has a lack of personal boundary. Things don't seem to register in her mind as somewhat sexual even when implicitly so. Is this hinting at the fact she has difficulty picking up implied meanings? Does she prefer to have things spelled out for her? Or does she simply believe that the way she thinks of things is the way everyone else also thinks of things? No clueNext we get to her criminal skills. The girl has obviously been involved in some less than legal activity in the past. She also doesn't have any guilt about it. She seems like the type that can justify to herself doing anything as long as it benefits her or her partners in some way. The extent to which she can justify her actions probably reaches mental gymnasticsI also think about that near-suicide comic quite a bit. It's not just about survivor's guilt I feel, as there's a bit of self loathing in there. She probably isn't actually satisfied with the way she projects herself to other people. From the kiss with Marty I'm guessing she wants to actually connect with someone, Marty or otherwise, on a deeper emotional level but doesn't know how. That's why Marty "saves" her, because she doesnt know how to save herself. Could this tie back to the "being unable to ascertain implicit meaning" thing, showing why Charlie can't emotionally connect to others? Or am I just making up shit as I go along?Despite all this, I still have trouble deciding between her and Anneke for my favorite female character
does any one have the Judy (YOU) gif

>>8224182Voyager started strong, tripped over it's own dick for several seasons, then ended strong. The beginning and the end were the best parts - the middle, aside from an occasional out-fucking-standing episode, was entirely forgettable. It's those oddball amazing episodes that trip you up - so much drek and filler, then, out of nowhere, AMAZEBALLS with fantastic acting.I have no idea what the production crew was on.

>>8224312They were on retardation. They had NO fucking idea how to write a female starship captain or what to do with her. Janeway was so inconsistently written from one episode to the next that Kate Mulgrew actually (in her own words) started portraying her as a schizophrenic. And when the captain, who is traditionally the main character of a Star Trek series, is that poorly written it just drags everyone else down. Which SUCKS, because they had a bunch of other well written characters like the Doctor and Seven of Nine. How they could write a female character like 7 of 9 so well and fuck up Janeway so much I have no fucking idea. The sad part is they could have easily given Janeway a solid foundation by doing something like making her a veteran of the Cardassian War like Miles O'Brien. They seemed to have given almost no thought to her backstory, and just assumed she sprung into being when she was given command of the Voyager.Fucking Bermann and Bragga.

>>8224382That wasn't the show talking shit to Picard. That was a veteran who fought Picard when he was assimilated by the Borg seeing the man who destroyed his ship and killed his wife again for the first time. That was entirely a Sisko-Picard interaction. Also, the second episode really helps it out. They don't lay into baseball as much, and they dive into how much Sisko was shaped by his experience on the Saratoga at Wolf 359. He even backs down a lot of what he said to Picard since he had his eyes and mind opened. The actual baseball episode comes much later, when they play against a crew of vulcans. That was actually one of the funniest episodes in the series.

>>8224440Thanks, I tryI really feel like Weaver's made some legitimately good characters and I want to understand them as best I can
>>8224475Clearly it's a sign you're ment to be Weaver's butler.
>>8224459Well fug, seems I went and mixed them up. Can you blame me though? I try to avoid crap like that.
>>8224378I'm going to miss it, too, but the disconnect between Beav the character and Beav the shitposting CC was beginning to feel too jarring to me.I have no other choice but to drop Beav as my avatar, with my only options being to use my already established fursona, roll up a new zoosona, or make a new beaver for myself. The new zoosona would probably end up getting turned into a new character just like Beav was, and making a new beaver would feel odd and halfassed. Like when a character dies and gets replaced by their twin in some media entertainment.

>>8224454I did enjoy ENT. It was corny, even if it was heavy handed about building the base to TOS. Were the Andorians or the anal-retentive douchebags in any other series?>>8224455This is gonna sound really nitpicky, but the main reason I couldn't get into it was how distracting that era's special effects were.

>>8224549Oh, I'll probably get over it. As it is, I'm in no hurry to get through these series, it's just something to watch when I'm bored. TNG is still next.

>>8224151>It was still her fault, but if she didn't do it? It was going to happen anyways. Just later on, and possibly even worse.>She is still flawed, and quite possibly still has those backwards views. But she now understands her faults, and knows she needs to change. That is honestly the best way to handle and remember this; Bellwether probably had back up plans in case Judy didn't do her part at the press conference and even then, other prey might have interpreted the savage case on their own and caused the whole city wide fear anyway. It doesn't diminish what Judy did, but it can help ease the guilt for her. It was going to happen anyway, all we can as of Judy is to work on changing herself for the better.>>8224252I like to think that rabbits are good at multiplying, as in they just have a bunch of kids per pregnancy (in which Zoot modern technology can lower the amount of kids you can have, so city rabbits don't have a dozen kids), and Judy only said that line to fuck with Nick, be it for her own amusement or to keep his mind reeling. >>8224393Yes, "Funbun Season" was fucking great. Even the way it played the "rabbits have seasons" trope was good, simply because it went with it being about having whoever you liked near you and not just fucking them. I couldn't stop laughing at the Star Fox scene, it was awesome. I kind of want that fic to continue but am perfectly content with where it ended. It doesn't need another chapter.
>>8224512Reminds me of that fic I read where Nick and Judy are doing fan Doctor Who episode. It was just one chapter and never finished though.

>>8224529Andorians don't feature super heavily in the other series. There are like two episodes of TOS where they have major roles, and they're portrayed similar to ENT. Andorians only appear a couple times in backgrounds in the other series', though. There was kind of a thought that the Andorians' design was too silly, and it was only by the time ENT aired and they could design good-looking movable, articulated antennae that they felt confident doing Andorians again.
>>8224281I honestly think you're making her character more complex that what it actually is but that's just me

>>8224281>Things don't seem to register in her mind as somewhat sexual even when implicitly so. Is this hinting at the fact she has difficulty picking up implied meanings? There's enough times in the stories were she has moments in which she fully understands social norms. The one where she breaks into Remmy's place while he sitting on the couch, sees him mad about it, then goes out and knocks normally shows that best.Fairly sure she's not brain damaged. She understands how shitty of a lifestyle she has, but just doesn't give a fuck 99% of the time. >From the kiss with MartyThat's a noncanon joke comic. >>8224840Oh, yeah, I can admit that whole implicit thing was weakI think I was just talking in circles and hoping no one would notice, and I didn't mean to imply she was brain damaged>noncanon joke comicSee, I don't think it should be discounted even if it's not completely canon. There's honestly nothing to suggest that Charlie acts out of character in it and it's just a good a source as any to judge her characterCalling it a joke is also a bit cruel
>>8223730Inky stop it.You're making me actually like this imaginary ship.
>>8224875>yfw it's reply
>>8224919>I didn't mean to imply she was brain damagedYou didn't, I was just preempting the "LOLOL AUTISM" crowd.
>>8224840>That's a noncanon joke comicI don't know about that. Weaver did write on his tumblr that the comic follows the events of Savages, I honestly think her dream sequence is actually canon.
>>8223836>>8223867It's so interesting to hear about how a simple tutorial can help inspire you to dive head first into drawing characters.I'd ask for a Nick & Judy lewd as a commemoration for the one year anniversary coming up, but you did say that you're still pretty busy. So I'll just say, hope things are going well, weav.
>>8224983And even if it wasn't, I wouldn't say it's a 'joke'. It seems feasible, even if it isn't canon.
>>8224595About the "good at multiplying thing" If I remember correctly, at least for wild rabbit's and such, they needed to have large family's to ensure their line could continue. Thus the reason to mate a fuck ton.But now with no fear of constant death? They could freely choose if they want a large family or not. And with being farmer's, that's pretty much a great reason to have large family's.And the counter at the entrance of BB? Something meant to fuck with everyone.>>8224610>The convention goers looks don't stop. Nick is about ready to lose it.>Finally finds an exit to the roof that no one is around.>Takes her up there and tells her that she is flashing everyone.>Embarrassed as all get out she is about ready to pull it back down, but before she can she spots his excitement.>Nick already knows that it won't be going down anytime soon, but he feels like he is forgetting something.>But they have never done something like this before, and he soon forgets whatever it is when she unzips him.>15 minutes later Nick finally remembers what he forget about, right after they tied together. >Judy also realizes it at the end, but can't do much about it since she might have also passed out and let Nick watch over them.>They never brought any MuskMask.>40 minutes later they are back on the show floor, very satisfied and Judy is making sure that she isn't giving everyone a show. They are even more embarrassed then ever, but don't think it smells too much around them.>They don't want to miss out on this convention, after all.>The goers and staff easily smell the sex and marks on them but don't say anything.>The nerds and all the singles curse the two normies.>>8224659Well actual paw pads feel like jelly. Kind of like a water bed, and somewhat squishy.I imagine his massages would be legendary.
>>8224182As someone's who's watched both DS9 AND Voyager, I can say that if you had to pick a show to skip, make it the latter. Not even Picardo and many guest appearances from Delancie could save fucking Voyager. And I'm not even talking just about their absolutely retarded episodes like the "evolving into salamanders" one.
>>8225003I agree with you I don't see it as a "joke" comic (hell even Weaver himself said that the comic was a bit "heavier" that what he normally writes) and I honestly think that the comic might be canon just because of what he wrote on the tumblr post
>>8224875Jesus H. Christ. That looks terrifying. That is the anon that did those horror focused comics? I never knew his name. I remember the camera comic, and the one with Judy trying to sleep and that shadow monster is begin her.Did he ever do anymore? They were really sweet.>>8224915>>8224928I don't thing those eye's between the two ever match up. and I feel like reply's and Zalgo's line work is to different. Granted I don't think reply ever did horror before, so we can't really have a comparison.
>>8224399Didn't they intend to make Paris the guy who killed one of his fellow cadets with Wesley in TNG, but they decided it was too expensive to pay that episode's writer royalties, but were too lazy to officially change the character, so they basically made a clone of that TNG character?Or that Voyager was supposed to deal with the tension between the Marquis and the Federation, which only factored into only 5 episodes or so?

>>8226500It's still Thursday night right now, at least in Midway (really)!Good luck with whatever you end up doing, and thanks for your support!
>>8226504Some hours after. Here, I'm gonna repost it:Ok, Pseudo, I gave it a read. I like it.It's nice how you weaved together a story that connects both the origin of Nick's working for Big and one of the fandom ships. I like the idea, I lek the way you realized it.For critique, first there is a phrase where Nick talk about his hooves, probably an error. Also I suggest of using an animal pun on Greco-Roman (e.g. Romawn).I found the dialogue at the beginning at little heavy to follow, since every sentence pronounced by a character was paired with a description of what they were doing. I suggest to make less alternation (e.g. a little banter between the two and THEN the description). Also be careful with the references to the film/fanon, you need to have a constant mix of that and narrative, otherwise it seems like a crack theory more than a fic. Here you stayed below the critical level, it is just a suggestion for future works. References are at their best when they are sparse and subtle, when you understand them only at the end, in an 'Ah-ah!' moment. I don't know if you have read it, but I based my last TT fic exactly on this.Still, pretty good work. Also I especially like the little pieces of worldbuilding that you put into your works.
I wish she was real>she will never be real
PredAndPrey really fucking late with a Thematic Thursday submission! Thematic Friday!Had fun writing this TT, a short little WildeHopps fluff/comfort fic about Nick going camping with Judy and some of her siblings. Camping isn't all fun for city folk. But in the end everything is ok if you're with someone who loves and cares for you.So here's On Melancholy Hill. I hope you all enjoy!http://archiveofourown.org/works/10335866
PAGE 10
>>8226518Yeah, with action, thoughts, and speech, I tend to make them follow pretty close together in a tight package. It's a recurring challenge for me to make things flow cleanly enough. I think that I did somewhat well on that for PCC, but it's an important thing, yes. Greco-Romawn is pretty cute. What about Gekko-Roman? Or even Gekko-Romawn?I'm glad that you really like it. That's sweet. Also, really nice Wilde-Hopps hugging there.
>>8226534I'll look at this soon. Cool.
>>8226552gekker roman
>>8226581Oh that's perfect
>>8226552For dialogue+action think this: dialogue is made between two characters, action is usually made by one. So, if you are having a dialogue between two characters, and it is not an action packed part (like, for example, running away from an imminent danger) you should maintain this proportions, 2:1, between dialogue and description. Also make it such that the description enter naturally in the pauses of the dialogue. They are exchanging some banter? Description should not enter, except from a very little phrase or two. One of the two said a very stinging comment, silencing the other? NOW description enters
