Fair 'nough.

I still don't think Judy is hot, and I'm gay.

From that perspective I can still see why people obsess over Nick more. He's a more intriguing character with a backstory that lends itself more to drama and other types of stories. Not to say Judy isn't interesting in her own right, but her personality doesn't scream hot or worth obsessing over.

Plus furries prefer foxes in general. I don't, but I do think Nick is hotter than Judy.

I personally don't see a problem. It's fine to feel bad about not getting mentioned, but not everyone does. I'm not asking to toss on the guilt. I'm asking the highlight the positives.

I was never mentioned for a long time, but it didn't make me sad--it made me want to get better until I got on someone's list. The thing about improving is that you need to have the drive to say "fuck that," and redouble your efforts when things don't go your way.

Read lots. Read what seems like high quality fanfiction in terms of Zootopia. Read things related to other fandoms.

Write scenes that are disconnected but convey a certain mood. Share them around. Keep reading more as you're writing, and get to a full one-shot when you feel ready.

>>
>>8175330
Plan everything before hand. If you feel like you're getting stuck on a line, move on to the next one. 80% of writing is editing. The only cure for writer's block is to write. If you only write when you have inspiration, you will write a piece very six months, so don't wait around for it.

Plot tied allegories are fucking difficult, focus on surface level shit. Trust your audience to fill in gaps, and cut everything that doesn't absolutely need to be there.

Not that much of a writer, and this more for the editing stage, but I personally think these tips should be used. Instead of writing something like "closed his eyes in pain", go with "slammed his eyes shut". Give context to your stories; tell the reader how your character is feeling through expressions rather than saying exactly how they feel.
>>
>>8175449
Yeah, but groove writing is best case scenario. You'll want a plan for when you aren't there, and that's the stuff you'll want to edit most of all.
>>

>If you have any young friends who aspire to become writers, the second greatest favor you can do them is to present them with copies of The Elements of Style. The first greatest, of course, is to shoot them now, while they’re happy. – Dorothy Parker

I think the best advice there for writers is to read more. Read, analyze, dissect, think what works and what doesn't, what you like in particular text and try finding a rhythm.

Gauging interest

story about a human (who knows nothing of Zootopia) who ends up in Zootopia (as an animal)

Attempts to play up the comedy in fish-out-of-water, particularly in all the various faux-pas the person would inevitably make. Would have the character attempt (but fail) at romance, so it's not smutty Mary/Gary Sue in Zootopia.

Human In Zootopia is generally frowned upon because no one has ever done it right. It's always: human is just self-insert of author, human is gets in the way of main characters, contrived reason why human is still allowed to roam free despite being and oddity, etc.

There's always been issues with it but as >>8176165 says: give it shot. But keep it short. Most won't bother with a fic like that if it's novel-length.

That's fine! Maybe there's a type of egyptian wolf with actual coloration like that? I couldn't find one in my search so I went with what I did find. If that's the case she's likely colored like anubis, though I don't think any real-world wolves/jackals have that coloration. I could be wrong.

If that's true, maybe she DOES dye her fur. She seems like the type, actually.

Art is easy, barely require any thought aside from muscle memory, you also can make easy money from fetish art and no matter how bad you are people will suck your dick. Meanwhile writing requires deep introspection and hours of brainstorming before you can put anything on paper, nobody but only the people who actually read more than just anime fansubs will appreciate it and more often than not you won't get feedback. Doesn't mean art isn't hard.

Of course people are going to pay more attention to art. It's a visual medium and visuals are easier for the human brain to absorb. He shouldn't shit on artist and act like art is easy to do just because people prefer to look at things than read them, or because the general consensus is to give blind praise to any piece of art they see. That's not the fault of the artist, many of who have genuinely dedicated their lives to get to where they are now and continue to do so.

He's just butthurt because he's not getting any attention for his writing, which I personally think fucking sucks for him. I genuinely, GENUINELY feel writing is more difficult to get get right and learn, and have a lot of respect for those who do. When people shit on writefags I'm usually one of the first people to speak up about them being underestimated and underappreciated, because I've tried writing before. It's not easy. You can't just write and expect it to be good any more than you can scribble and expect it to be good. It's all about perception of the audience.

And that sucks for writefags, but that doesn't mean drawing is easy. I encourage everyone to try it, but you're retarded if you think it's as easy as putting paper to pencil.

Yes I mad.

>>
>>8177108
Drawing isn't easy, it is simply easier to consume for the average person. Anyone can look at a picture and give instant feedback/have gratification right then and there. Meanwhile, processing a written story takes much more time. Authors are simply going to get less attention naturally due to time constraints/attention spans.

Drawing and Writing take different skills, and are equally as hard in their own way.

I don't condone attacking writefags. I actually don't know how this plays into this at all considering drawfags are the ones being 'attacked' (and I use the term loosely. Drawing itself is what's being criticized).

On top of that I do vouch for writefags, and I think it's shitty that they feel this way, despite understanding why.

I'll admit I need to calm down, though.

>>8177417
>you'd be retarded to say art is hard

This is why I can tell you're not an artist. You're not wrong that it's not as difficult as writing, but it's not easy, and you actually do have to think to draw. Learning and practicing the basics is how you get it down yeah, but it takes more then braindead practicing to make GOOD art. You have to observe the world around you and think outside the box. Just drawing from memory is never enough.

I hate going here, but usually other artists can tell shit art better than non-artists, and it's statements like this that also indicate whether or not the person talking has ever tried drawing or not.

>>8177464

I just wanted to draw attention to this spicy burn here. That's worded so well and inserted so perfectly you hardly notice it's in there until after you've read it and agreed with it. That's a level of insult that you just don't see much these days.

Ehem...

>"Tough shit, grazer," a low voice sneers from behind me.
>Turning in place, I look up into the piercing eyes of a tall, slender, chestnut-furred jackal.

>-

>"Real big of you to tattle, grasseater," a low, smooth, vaguely familiar voice comments.

>I blink, looking around. It's dark in here to begin with, but with the stairwell casting a heavy shadow over the nearby recliner I didn't even notice someone else was in the room with me.
>Squinting into the blackness I can barely make out the same jackal that was giving me shit earlier, taking a smoke break.

>-

>"Man, you really are a stick in the mud."
>Casually, the jackal reaches a claw up and pops the stick from her mouth, revealing the 'cigarette' to actually be a lollipop.

From Wooly Bully

>Judith Hopps, mid-fourties, mother of one, decorated veteran of the ZPD.
>Nicholas Wilde, II, fifteen year old delinquent, adopted son of Judy Hopps.
>Evil bunny-casted magic brings a recently dead Nick back to life in a new body.
>Judy has to deal with incessant flirting and the occasional underage todd sneaking into her bed.
>She keeps telling him to wait until he's eighteen, but the horny todd just won't quit.
>The last time she'd come home from a long shift, he was sitting on the livingroom couch, pants down to his ankles, beating off to some of hers' and Nick's home-made movies.
>He didn't even have the shame to stop when she'd yelled his name. He'd just asked her to close the door and help him along, complaining that his poor wrist was hurting.
>And during her last birthday, when a few dozen of her sisters and aging mother had visited, he'd had the gall to slip a paw down her pants when her sister Violet was right beside them.
>It wasn't that she didn't still have a whole lot of fire in her, she just didn't like the idea of comitting statutory rape.
>It apparently wasn't the same thing with him, though. If anything, it was the complete opposite. She remembered, some time before his death, him mentioning he liked the 'milf' look Violet and her own mother were 'rocking.'
>But now, as she lays in bed with Nick II spooning against her, in the nude as always, she couldn't find the resolve to fight the fire inside her.
>It definately didn't help that he was resting the tip of his muzzle against the old mark he'd given some twenty years ago.
>She just has to keep telling herself, 'three more years,'
>Letting her muscles finally relax, she felt herself almost slip away into an enjoyable sleep.
>Almost.
>Nick II dug his teeth into his old mark, and she let out a groan that would have made her sister Lewdy blush.
>"Fine!" she all but yelled, and tore her neck from his maw. It stung, but she didn't care.
>She pinned him beneath her, and glared at his smug face.

I've not seen any images of Pandora and Remmy going at it outside of the pegging one.

As for pegging, I wasn't trying to imply that it was abusive, but it'd still be nice if he got to do the fucking. Especially to a nice lady like Pandora. I know 'Dora probably gets a lot of people asking her out, but she doesn't seem tied down to anybody and Remmy is a rather unique sight in Pack Street considering it's mostly preds. I could see her being interested in him.

>She pulled her mouth away from his, and goaded him, "You like that, Slick?"
>He didn't respond with words, just sharp gasps of air and the occasional yelp when her hips met his exceptionally hard.
>As his own hips gave a few erratic jerks, she felt his knot flare. She didn't slow down, though.
>Nick II let out a wet, choking groan as his body jerked up and pulled her into a bear hug, with his hips pushing hard against hers. She could feel his legs pressing against her ass and thighs as she continued trying to work his cock like a piston.
>But it was to no avail, as the twitchy todd had a death grip on her.
>Then the second most wonderful sensation of her life, something she also hadn't felt in years, finally returned to her.
>She felt hot, thick, vulpine seed streak and splash inside her.
>Falling back tot he bed, she laid them both on her side, but kept her legs watched around his waist.
>After a few second of silence, Nick let her go from his death grip, and softly pressed her lips against his.
>She looked into his youthful, piercing green eyes, and he looked into her older violet ones.
>Pulled away, he whispered, "I love you, Judy,"
>She whispered back, "I love you too, Nick,"
>Moving her hips just a tiny bit, she watched as his body shook and his eyes fluttered.
>Breathily, he warned her, "Don't do that!" and she bit back, "Gonna have to make-"
