I wanna fondle crossdressing nick under his dress
>>7331141
>>7331151
>>7331155
>>7331163
>>7331075I'm sorry I had to bring it all up, but does anyone know why people hate Weaver?
>>7331169
>>7331172No idea, he does seem to garner a shit ton of hateful followers though.
Enjoy your happy nick/gazelle while it lasts.I may be bringing some decidedly uncomfy nick/gazelle soonish.
>>7331172Probably because he's popular. There will always be a sect of people who hate who and what's popular.
>>7331184Many people says he is attention whore. I can see why they assume that, but I don't think a attention whore would actually enjoy and create great content like "The Pack Street", a very succesful idea, and he seemed to put a lot of effort into them.
>>7331220People think all content creators are attention whores.Kinda comes with the territory. If nobody cares about what you create, then why create?
>>7331194Isn't hating on popularity is popular in 4chan.
>>7331241There's your answer, then.
>>7331172Largely jealousy.Others are pissed that weaver's simple style gets more relative attention than their own stuff, which is what happened to Yandere-anon.Others just don't like how everyone focuses on him when he does something.>>7331190Hey, I'd totally be up for a stalker Gazelle trying to control Nick's life story.
>>7331227Honestly, he inspired me to create things in /Trash/. The poor doodling gave me an idea to draw badly on purpose.
>>7331281same. except he inspired me to write, instead.
>>7331281he doesn't do poor doodling, anyone.he does high quality doodling. Weaver has very good line economy and clarity. He knows what he's doing, even if its a very basic style.
>>7331190>I may be bringing some decidedly uncomfy nick/gazelle soonish.tell me more tell me more
>>7330328>Judy the samuraibun getting sweet talked by the silver tongued fox while Finnick picks her pockets please.>>7331227I create because I enjoy doing it, personally. I won't pretend attention doesn't go into it, but I mostly just want to make someone's day.
>>7331304This. It kinda irks me when people say his art isn't good. I'm not saying he's some sort of brilliant master or anything, but if you know enough about art it's very obvious he's quite skilled.
>>7331409>FilenameI think you did rather well. Poor bun bun, losing some coin to the good looking smug fox. Thank you Inky.
Introducing...Pack Street: An Eye For An Eye! Remmy may have come from a flock, but when predators start getting mob mentality over the fact that sheep were behind the Nighthowler Conspiracy, things aren't great for prey on Pack Street.http://archiveofourown.org/works/9395555Introducing... Toxocity! One doctor shows her dedication to discovering the true effects of nighthowler, over her assistant's objections. Will she succeed? Or will she fall victim to an experiment of her own divising?http://archiveofourown.org/works/9395600Introducing... Judy Hopps and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day! Judy Hopps is not a bun easily convinced to skip work. But when she's sent home on sick leave, all she really wants to do is sleep... If she can get the chance, that is.http://archiveofourown.org/works/9395708Introducing... A Chef's Pride! The resident mayor notices that his best assistant secretary is feeling under the weather, and sends her home. But now that he's thinking about it... Perhaps it's time that he takes a little break from all that work, himself. He might even get the chance to learn about his ewe underling in the process!http://archiveofourown.org/works/9395783And finally, Pack Street: Sickness. In the latest entry in the Through The Looking Glass series, Remmy learns that his girlfriend is ailed by more then just the sniffles, and her anxieties are just as messy to deal with as her runny nose.http://archiveofourown.org/works/9395816Oh, and I added a little meta-game. Can you spot the two-word phrase I slipped into every fic?
>>7331432Enjoyed the Remmy story, but I'm kinda surprised that after he was attacked, it wasn't SOP for at least one other Pack member to accompany him more often.Seemed like what Betty was doing was of her free will which, while great for the sheepdog enthusiasts, seems odd that she alone would be doing that. Putting aside the fact that she and Al both got injured kicking the crap out of Remmy's attacker, but still.
>>7331436almost thought you were in the wrong thread there until you specified mammalsgood tastes, tho.
>>7331499after he was attacked, he didn't really leave the houseand the one time he's convined to get out of bed, he was accompanied. it seems the only time they don't do so is when he's at work.plus, that is kind of betty's job: taking care of the pack in ways that aren't the Alpha's job. Maybe she's used to it, maybe she has a heart and doesn't have to be a fuckin' sap to care that a pack member is wasting away in bed.
>>7331519I guess I thought that this was a one-time deal. I knew he'd largely become shut in, but I didn't know if Betty'd always accompany him, or if it was just to assure him so he'd feel safe on his first time out.Sorry.
>>7330430>The piggu activating her fujoshi powers
>>7331578maybe it was a one time deal. Maybe it'll be SOP once he actually starts leaving the house and they have reason to accompany him.
>>7331227What even is people's idea of an attention whore? In comparison to real attention whores Weaver has substance. He's an interesting guy and has been doing his things for a long time now. Dedication to his works and a good sense of humor define him, that's who he is.When these threads started his posts almost always derailed them. But that's to be expected, he automatically draws attention to him when he enters a room. His art is just eye catching. To add to this he almost always apologized for dragging so much concentration away from other artists, encouraging people to post their own stuff.Where do people get the idea that they can just call everybody who they don't like an attention whore?Learn the difference!
>>7331595>Where do people get the idea that they can just call everybody who they don't like an attention whore?I think calling people you don't like rude and untruthful things on the internet is a tradition, especially here.
With this being the dead hours and all lets spruce this up a bit.Has there ever been a fic/green/anything Zootopia related, that was so terrible and just poorly made that you just have to talk about for some catharsis? Let's share with each other the one thing, that has messed us up and just can't stop thinking about it. Be it by suspension of disbelief/jumping the shark/poor grammar and/or a horrible ending. Let us be each others shrinks. For my own, it would have to be "Fox Hunt" an Nick/Human OC that was so mindbogglingly full of "WHAT", I just couldn't stop reading it and I wish I could give myself a lobotomy now. Everyone just needs to hear to believe it.The basic plot is this: Judy loves Nick, Judy takes Nick back to her farm for a vacation and to tell him that she loves him. But Nick falls in love with the Human ranch hand of the Hopps Farm. Nick only see's Judy as a sister, thus abloo abloo sad bun commences. One of the first moments that just had me saying "oh god, you have to be joking!" Was an author AN. That had him telling the readers that most humans (or at least the squad mates of the Human, because of COURSE he is/was in the military!) That all of them had the basic body structure of Markus from Gears of War. Yup, I ain't fucking with you.The other moment was when Judy finally walked in on the two of them and she finally realized she is pretty much never going to have Nick. She ends up running away and getting drunk to forget about them. But she wakes up the next morning and finds out she ended up taking home a fox that her drunk mind thought was Nick. And preceded to have sex with a stranger, and said stranger is also married. Even more abloo abloo happens and it's the final stretch to one of the most unsatisfying and awful endings I have read before, and I couldn't stop laughing by it's end.So Anon. What is yours? Let us be your ears to listen to the pure awful you have read before.
>>7331579I actually think I'll be stopping at this one. The other ones aren't as inspiring at the time being, but if I get a good enough idea/motive for any of them I'll do 'em later.Sorry if I disappointed anyone. I'll try to take requests again soon.
>>7331621Thank you for taking requests again Pigu, its always a cool thing to see you do. Especially loved the 'Hugh's oral lesson' one you did for me, good to see more Fancy lady too. What is her name anyway?
>>7331602sadly the internet is full of children too
>>7331621Good to see you back at this, InkyPatiently waiting for more Shorty Squad!
>>7331669Madame Ly(la) is her name. She's kind of fun to draw actually.I'm usually not a big fan of drawing canids, but some breeds/species are much more fun than others I feel.>>7331787No set date, other than 'sooner than the previous one'. I was gonna write tonight, but I was more in a drawing mood. Which is good. I missed taking requests. I need to get back into the swing of it.
>>7331787that's a cute wolf, anon.
>>7331579Thank you!>>7331304>>7331416I wish I was able to doodle like him, but it is still a long road for me. You can see the knowledge in anatomy and the facial expressions are top notch. Also, just looking at the Remmy gif tutorial you can see the skill he has, no sketch required, sure and clean lines. And before that he did everything with a mouse.Seriously, drawing like this without a preparatory drawing, I can say that I've only seen something similar here only with Nobby and Rose.
>>7331814it's really the eyebrow that sells itits only when the eyebrow is added that you can REALLY tell it's remmy.
>>7331814>before thatanon... he's still using a mouse.he did that with a mouse.
25 year old Kameela, a raccoon working at the DMV in Central Zootopia, is one of the biggest fans of heavy metal/hard rock in the mega city. She loves to scream her frustrations out à la a red panda on foreign television.Concerts are her battlefield as she goes full ballistic once the music starts to kick in. Not particular picky, Kameela can rock it to almost everything. While not the biggest fan of "Disfurred", she still loves to hear them go crazy. "David Bleatmal's voice is just so flexible and uniquely intimidating, I can't get enough of it! OH-WAH-AH-AH-AH!"
>>7331832Really? I thought he said he had got a tablet.Well, I respect him even more then.
>>7331858if he did, that news is more recent then this gif.im 90% sure he drew this gif with a mouse, anyway.
>>7331814>with a mouseAmazing what time can teach you

>>7331797A very fancy lady, hopefully next time I can remember her name.>>7331856This is s cute trash panda, would love to see more.

>>7331856I do love raccoonsGood stuff Teabro
>>7331965Good!Just another question: what species is your zoosona and what job does he have?
>>7331856A reckless nature doesn't come without consequences though, as Karma hits Kameela right after the concert into an intense fever.Poor raccoon, you should have payed attention to what the doctor said: "Ms. Kameela, I would advise you too look into other...activities to cool off your frustration. Maybe a change of genre is also in order. Something more relaxing, that soothes the soul."Thanks to a certain rodent the concert can continue at a more "relaxed" pace while she recovers from the intensity that was "Disfurred" (this is such a stupid pun haha)------------------------------------------ Hi /ztg/, I hope you like this interpretation of Kameela, the lovely raccoon who got little screen time in the graphic novel. I love raccoons and so I wanted to add some character to her, she's got such a delightful design to her. Wish I knew the artist who did the comics.Anyways, sorry for the late TT submission, had some social stuff to take care off. (wish I could chill here all day, but alas).(Also, the musical reference in case my Richard Cheese joke goes unnoticed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o39etJFlW7k&ab_channel=doomhalopatsfreak)>>7331927ask and you shall receive>>7331977>>7331924>>7331977Thanks, I felt like she deserves more attention, she's such a cutie.>>7331938Kameela is a party mammal, but outside of concerts she is a well-behaved carrier woman. So what will it be, anon?>>7331943You seem rather disturbed by Kameela's choice of music. Don't worry, she's quite numb to such comments by now. Maybe you can suggest some of your fav material to help her discover new experiences?
>>7332008>outside of concertsso you have to catch her at a concern when she's in the mood, got it.
>>7332008>Kameela is a party mammal, but outside of concerts she is a well-behaved carrier womanI like this idea. And don't worry about being late, I know all too well that RL things get in the way

>>7332051>>7332063>>7332069Good! Also I'm so sorry that you've got workplace in Pack Street

>>7332113>Coughing white into his pawWell, someone got some work done today. Maybe he can afford something to supplement his liquid diet.Cute badger btw.
Well good night thread. I'm off to bed
>>7332144He's yawning you silly anon.
>>7332154Good night!
>>7332154That's probably a good idea, night puma man. Think I will sleep too, night everyone else!>>7332160Lies!
>>7332154good night, soon to be police panther and sweet dreams.
>>7332113One day, one day I will discover what the stink twink does for a living
>>7332258I'm sure it's gonna come up in the story eventually.
>>7332351Source?
>>7332377Dunno, found in the threads
>>7332400Oh Thanks
>>7331194Because he's popular *and disrupts the thread every time he posts.Every time he posts, the whole thread derails into a circlejerk around him.It gets pretty annoying after a while. And he has a history of jumping from bandwagon to bandwagon, so it's unlikely he's going to stay with Zootopia for very long, once the next big fandom comes along.
>>7331172Off the top of my head; creating things/trends some people don't care for and seeing them proliferate, being a big enough name that his mere presence can garner a response, people liking his art despite perceiving it to be lackluster on a technical front, the fact that he stopped producing content relating to a specific topic, the fact that he has produced content related to other topics and a laundry list of drama. Please note that I don't hold any of these beliefs. They're just what I've seen offered as reasons.
>>7332716>so it's unlikely he's going to stay with Zootopia for very longHe's already been here 9 fucking months.
>boom of SavageSky(e) content is a coincidence, they said>/trash/ doesn't have any influence on the japanese artists, they said>you're not a creative powerhouse, they said>it's a coincidence they saidnow we only need to get these japs to participate in TT
>>7332922>/r/zootopia
>>7332736I don't think Weaver is a type of drama type of person. Don't know how people come to that idea.
>>7332922Yesssss.... first Japan, then the world.Still, I looked at Google Trends. Zootopia remains very stable (from October), also strangely enough the place where the word "Zootopia" is most searched are Georgia, Singapore, then a boatload of Caribbean and South American countries and THEN USA and Australia.
>>7331403Meesh is a boss.
>>7332965>le ebin "reddit sucks" maymay
>>7331403>titsfuck no, when they are gonna learn?
>>7333053I'm more annoyed that our coloranon's coloring of a picture Mead did for TT is being sent out to the world via reddit, who are probably taking credit for it.
>>7333081Reddit doesn't "take credit" for posting things there, any more than 4chan "takes credit" for things posted on 4chan.
>>7333081it's signed "Mead" as it righteously should, what's your concern? And I'm only happy more of our content gets reposted elsewhere because it might attract more people here.
>>7333120It won't, because it's not being labeled as being from here.
>>7333120Doesn't mead put all his shit on tumblr. Anything exclusively from here will only provide indirect influence to the outside via Reddit or tumblr
>>7333132Do you not know how Reddit works? You don't post content "on" Reddit, you post a link to the content you found.
>>7331304This, he beats the hell of most hack artist from these threads who just jumped in on the latest furry fad and lack basic understanding of most drawing concepts. His art albeit simple at a technical level it's far from that on a design level, scenes, character concepts even perspective would put to shame a lot of guys from these threads.
>>7333153>Doesn't mead put all his shit on tumblr.he updates it rather infrequently
>All this talk of /r/zootopia>Go there to see how it is>Seems more lively than the last time I visited (months ago)>95% of the content is something that I've already seen, though>Wait a moment>That pic>I drew itIt is such a strange feeling, seeing things you've done being reposted even in other sites. It feels like a milestone, like the first repost of your creations, like the first request. And it was all thanks to these threads and you, anons. So, bonus round of requests, I will do them as soon as I get my hands on a tablet.

>>7333597>>7333603>>7333611You monsters.
>>7331278>Yandere-anonCan you explain? I'm "relatively" new here.
>>7331608For me personally, there is one story that comes to mind. It is a one-shot called "I still Think of Her Occasionally"; the basic premise is that at some point Nick and Judy, at some point, drifted apart because Nick had pushed her away when she wanted to advance their relationship. Nick later regrets this because he was scared of having his own heart broken like it was before in the past by other females. There were strange moments within the story that seemed to contradict itself, or have stupidity for the save of drama. Judy was rumored to have moved on, getting a buck boyfriend. Nick knew this, and he went over to Judy's apartment hoping it wasn't true. Once he sees that it is true, he takes a job offer from another precinct given to him outside of Zootopia.Wolford, who Nick had gotten close to during the time he and Judy drifted apart, tells Judy of this and when Nick is leaving. She tries to stop Nick, only to be too late to get to the train. She is given the carrot pen, which has a recording of her and Nick...giggling and Judy showing Nick "how she feels"? She then goes on to think, now with Nick gone, she has never felt so alone. Which doesn't make sense, since she has a fucking buck boyfriend. There are a few other stories here and there that I could complain about, but I will leave those for another time.Except for the "Zootopian Chronicles". Just putting it out right here, I've read "Fox Hunt" and I would say that "Zootopian Chronicles" is a much, much worse Zootopia/Human story.
>>7333644CC had a meltdown and told everyone he felt unappreciated because people valued 10s work pics of weaver more than long pages of some retarded comics he was working on, thread promptly reminded him who was king of /ztg/ and ripped him a new one. Many laughs were had.
>>7333740Do you have any pages of the "retarded comic he was working on?" Kinda curious to see what it was.
>>7333740Sounds awesome.Do you have any piece from him? So I can appreciate his "hard work".
>7333740(You)
>>7333644I can explain:once (we are talking roughly at the beginning, March/April) in these threads there was a CC who did a comic with a very yandere Judy (pic related is the first), following a trend of those days. As you can see the art is more than decent and these pages has been reposted quite a number of times here (some weeks once per thread), so everyone was a little worried when the author disappeared without a word. They came back at the end of June (https://desuarchive.org/trash/thread/3617907/#3620232), when there was a new yandere Judy craze, saying that they left because they received much less attention than Weaver and also because a friend of them said that even their next project will have less attention than Weaver works. We all (Weaver included) told them that their comics were very popular and that, really, it isn't a race to who gets the most (You)s. They posted a couple of WIP pics saying that they will go back to the comic but then they disappeared.
>>7333644>CC works on comic>People like comic, talk about comic, make reaction images out of comic>CC drops off face of the earth>Every so often, people ask "when is comic going to be finished? What happened to CC?">Months later, CC appears and explains they felt jealous of how much attention weaver got and thought people didn't care about comic enough>Everyone is amazed, says they loved comic, loved CC, and even weaver comes in and says they were a fan>CC promises to finish comic (after doing some pony commissions)>Excitement, anticipation, celebration!>Nothing ever sinceIt really rubbed people the wrong way because "I didn't get enough attention even though I got a lot of attention" is just... well, its weaksauce.
Hey, so, I've got something that I did for TT:http://pastebin.com/3LB64rtUTitle is "Nick Wilde's Special Sauce".This is a weird, experimental kind of piece. I'm really having trouble figuring out what to do with it. Advice? Please take a look!
>>7333611Doesn't look like Zootopian horses have as pronounced of an ergot. In fact, they seem to be missing their cannon bone and have fewer joints than their wild counterparts.Somehow equines got double-screwed and ended up with even LESS articulation over time.
>>7333853It's a pretty weird situation. Honestly, I don't even want to think about it. I guess you can assume that maybe different horses from different areas have somewhat different bodies, like how certain rabbits get bigger than others or live longer in the film. That one dude in the Bunnyburrow newspaper was well over 100, wasn't he? I guess there's varying.
>>7333853how does he even clicks the button?how does he wipe his ass?
>>7333800>>7333809It was sad how judgmental they got about it. They were talented and made an interesting story, but they legitimately felt jealous of weaver and so stopped making something? That's not even trolling, that's just really, really weird.Something had to be going on with that. It was surreal how much goodwill they had to be spoon fed beyond the genuine appreciation of their work, and then, poof, gone again.
>>7333892Must suck to be a horse, but not for the reason people think. You do your best, you hold a job, you're relatively agile with your lips. But it's hard to meet people when all they ever think about is how you wank and wipe.
>>7331142oh baby, this is all my fetishes
>>7333892With toliet paper, I can image that there's a wet wipes dispenser unit thing that you just press a button to have a wet bit pop out.As far as the camera goes, hooves would probably work on a toggle switch. Or something like an up-down light-switch end.
>>7333800checked>>7333897I would guess that there was something going on in their lives. Possibly they were feeling depressed or something like that, drove them to want more attention.
>>7333934>when all they ever think about is how you wankIn fairness, anon, given how hormones are, heats are, and more, probably a ton of mammals go about their day thinking about fucking hot guys non-stop.If I was a bun dude going along a regular Zootopian street, damn, I might be just gazing at wolf after wolf myself...
>>7333939Good choice, anon.
>>7333959This is why a polite mammal always offers help to equines in need. And you can always tell the ones that are pent up, 'cause they can't exactly hide that monster.
>>7333892Finally I get to post this
>>7333532OH GOD THE MORE I STARE AT IT THE MORE I SEE ROCKO!
Tube dudes
>>7333897Maybe I'm a petty person, but I can understand. When Weaver is posting, you cannot post anything near him because it will get ignored. When he is actively posting, it's like a planet's gravity and if you don't avoid it, no one will see or care about your work. On one side, it's true that he's skilled obviously. Still, despite what the reality might be, it seems like his drawings are quick doodles. When you put in effort only for it to be ignored for something that looks like a 5-min doodle, I can definitely understand the frustration.Weaver is a swell guy though, so I hope he doesn't see this and get sad.
>>7334015>intrinsic wiping motionSo then horses just wonder why everyone has tissue in their bathrooms.
>>7334060>near him because it will get ignoredno? look up fantasy TTs, where he posted a pack street crossover; everyone had their share of attention. Good content rarely gets ignored (inb4 "but I didn't get enough replies") and if someone is only chasing yous they'll never be satisfied anyway. This entire argument is so asinine it makes me sick how shallow and vain people are.
>>7334044Somebody call NASA, they have to find my sides>>7334060The problem is not that they posted one time, near some big Weaver comic. The comics were posted, they were more than noticed and, above all, they were reposted many, many times in the threads. They were probably some of the works that I've seen most reposted in my many months here.
>>7334105>>7334115I'm speaking in general, for multiple generals over years. Weaver's popularity often overshadows other CC's, if it has been different here then it's been different. I'm not sure why you think there's another way for someone posting their art on 4chan to tell if it was well received or not except for yous. It's not really asinine, it's just fact, sorry.
>>7334158Note I'm not like actively arguing about it, just explaining the perspective of that CC
>>7334158I'm saying that crying about it is stupid and that good content won't get ignored, regardless how many good art gets posted simultaneously. responses are not a finite resource and you can quote multiple posts in one response. And if someone is only after responses, their ego will never be satisfied, so like whatever.
>>7334044LOLROTFLMAO XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
>>7334158Well, (You)s are a thing, but not everything. There is much more.I find usually the best way to see if some art was well liked is after. Is it reposted? Did the work spark an interesting conversation? As a CC, I feel this is truly a successful work. You can get (You)s, and receiving a lot when your post is good, but so are able many bait posts, a simple yet effective image, etc. Also I find that in these threads while Weaver is important, we have a piece for every CC. And sometimes they overshadow completely Weaver. When JiD was rolling, Mead could have been the most talked CC. When there is Wildecest, there it is Visiti. When you want to talk about history you have Comic and Labjer. And so on.But these are just my thoughts.
I only come here for Weaver contentIn fact, I only started getting into Zootopia because I had followed Weaver for yearsAm I part of the problem?
>>7334298
>>7334298no, we're here to enjoy different things and have fun, anon. except fat and inflationfags. fuck you, jerboa
>>7334158>>7334223But that perspective is toxic and counterproductive."I'm not getting enough attention compared to another" is a problem in business to solve if you want to stay afloat or break into an industry. "I'm not getting enough attention compared to another" in a fan community where people write and draw stuff for others to enjoy puts pressure onto the audience and other creators and can make them feel like shit.We could always be better about showing our appreciation to content creators: people spend their time and energy on stuff solely for love and feedback. But you can't force a person to like something. There will be people here who don't want to talk about your stuff because it's not Weaver/its not Porn/its not Inflation Porn/its not SFW/its not just canon characters/its not OCs/its not a drawing/its not a fic/its not a request fulfill of their shitty non-Zootopia fursona. That's just the makeup of the threads, and there's no onus on anyone to give X responses for Y post. There are anons here who pretty much just give feedback, and there are artists and writers who will bend over backwards to give help improve people. There is no harm in saying "I feel depressed because I made something and it didn't take off, what happened?" But blaming others makes them feel shitty, and is counter productive if you want more attention.
So I'm unironically going through /r/zootopia and there isn't a whole lot of content by our guys, at least as far as art is concerned.Few Mead edits by Colouranon (including the latest Hotline piece), ciwi draws, little hustlers by nobby (and surprisingly no hustlers art by zhan himself), art from Japan, but it generally appears /trash/ doesn't have a lot of exposure there.

>>7334370Don't forget that this is a hidden board on a website that recently regained it's Boogeyman status thanks to /pol/I wouldn't be surprised if saying stuff was from 4chan was an outright ban
>>7334320love u too bb<3
>>7334245Well, I'm saying that it may be stupid to cry over (in your opinion), but that does often happen. Your attitude pretty much should explain why when people's art get ignored for a more popular content creator, they feel like shit because it must not have been "good enough" to not be ignored. Yes, you can, but often people don't. I don't know why you're pretending like I'm making this up. It has happened to me in the past, I've seen it happen plenty. No fault of Weaver's but he's like a mammoth of popularity. >>7334288And they're not after only responses, sure the better indication is what the responses say, if it's reposted, if it starts a trend, etc. but you don't see that until later. Immediately speaking, it's responses. Weaver's comics get huge amounts of replies. Whether or not it actually makes it good, it's tough seeing that big list of replies and to get 1-2 after. It's not really about ego, it's about feeling appreciated in a way. When you produce art, you are trying to make people feel something--happy, sad, horny, etc. When no one or almost no one responds, it's impossible for you to tell if you were successful. Being an artist often comes with much self-doubt and often depression. So when you see that, yeah, your first thought is: "I must not be good enough. [insert artist] is so much better. Why should I even bother? So much effort and no result..." etc. >>7334362I'm not saying you should blame someone like Weaver or people who love his stuff, because you're right you can't make people like something if they don't. At the same time, it is (not of his fault) true that people love his stuff, especially compared to some random person who is not as popular. So if that not-as-popular artists who maybe isn't hitting the right notes posts near a big reveal or something by Weaver, it is a fact that he draws the attention away from things because he just draws so much attention. Again, I'm not saying this is a good perspective
>>7334298There can be many entrances to the same place. You here are simply anon, someone who enjoys coming to these threads for their reasons.Nothing is stopping you from enjoying only one subset of the contents here, nor to try to enlarge your horizons. >>7334492We'll sorry if I misread it, but it seems like your saying it's stupid to cry over your content getting ignored because it won't if it's good, but a lot of artists put in effort for content that may not be good and this gets ignored for better content obviously. Still that doesn't erase the effort and feelings put into not as good content and it seems like you're saying it's stupid for people to feel bad if their content isn't good and doesn't get noticed as much.
>>7334427I get that it happens, I get that it sucks. I got real morose after MisterE said his fics were a waste after he didn't get enough attention, cause he got more (You)s in a single post than I got with all my fics. And I'm sure he felt the same way cause his collection of fics didn't get as much of a response compared to what he wanted too.I just think the change is best to come artist side rather than "competing" artist side or consumer side, because the latter two will be an uphill battle compared to the former.I don't mean this with malice, I just hope the other CCs here realize that writing 100,000 words of OC driven rated-R nonlewd drama will not get as much attention as 3,00 words of canon driven lewd comedy/comf, and established names garner attention more than newcomers (sometimes; there are exceptions because some people here love new CCs more than old ones) because they have an established quality. We're a way friendlier community than any other on 4chan, and even though you didn't receive a thunderous standing ovation (unless it really is amazing and pushes all the right buttons), if you put yourself out there and there'll be a response.
>>7334580>Turning fruits into vegetablesI dont think anyone can top this
>>7334502>>7334534>>7334580I mean in terms of /trash/. What did the "race realist is totally different from racist" board to put us on the map?
>>7334427Continuing from >>7334619, I also think its good to let people know that people who make content here really do want a response. I know I have read fics that I didn't respond to, and I know I could have responded more to fics I've read, and those responses would have been appreciated. We could do better about supporting our CCs, not because we don't already, but because there's always room for improvement in all things.
>>7331403Im curious for the context here
>>7334647it put this South African post-progressive tribal dance forum back on the map, so anything related to it is instantly taboo.
>>7334647They meant that 4chan in general is now Verboten again. We have actual legit Nazi connections again, so people hate us utterly and indiscriminately.
>>7334427I understand what the immediate reaction entails. I often sought the (You). Why are these other CCs receiving so much more? But then you think about it. They have been creating and training for YEARS, maybe more. I've started six months ago.And then, now that I see my old drawings, I say: Damn, some of these are really shitty. But they seemed so good at the time. And why? Because, in the mind of the author, effort equals quality. But sadly you need to take into account that effort cannot be restrained to a single piece. A person that never runs will never win against a top runner, simply because the latter put an huge amount of effort in many years of training. The first have to become a top runner themself. And how? Continuing creating. So this is my solution: continue creating. I will become better, and I will do so I can give back to thread all the good they gave me in showing me this path. And, incidentally, with this mindset I've seen the (You)s rising, so there's that.
>>7334619I'm with you. Maybe it's too early for my brain to work, but sorry if my posts seem all over the place. This is definitely an attitude that artists get rooted a lot in poor self-imaged and lack of confidence that can seem to be reinforced by a "poor" response. Of course these threads are better than a lot of places, but as an artist who goes across multiple generals through starting out to becoming at least somewhat good, especially in board draw threads...I can understand the perspective and was trying to explain it. Sorry if I do not do a good job.I'm certainly not trolling or pretending to be retarded, maybe I am just retarded. I do agree you have to change it from the artists side too. Does help to remind people to reply to things they like.
>>7334587>>7334803Also I forgot to ask, Gerardson, what brushes are you using for shadows in Clip Studio Paint? They are so good
>>7334780>>7334790Ah, I thought they were raiding us again.Hope that insane nutter Mike Cernovich does good on his promise to purchase /pol/ so they can examine the folds in male and female skulls away from here.
>>7334809You're not trolling, its just a touchy subject for all involved. Nobody likes being ignored, nobody likes putting effort in rolling a rock up a hill just to see it roll back down, and nobody likes seeing the next guy get a parade while nobody knows your name.It is a problem, and you were right to point it out.We can always do better to support the people here in these threads. Its not that we have to, or that we're bad people if we don't, but it can be better, and we can be better because of it.
>>7334803i definitely agree with you. though as an artist that suffers from clinical depression who has spent years training (poorly), but has gotten stuck in a rut and is struggling to improve drawing (without really knowing where to go) while balancing university...i feel like the runner who has worked hard for a long time, but still can't keep up with the other seasoned runners. and to top it off, most people tell you how good your art is, but it is far from where you want to be and where you think you should be...haha i guess i'm just a big whiner, but art-wise i feel trapped and i have no idea how to improve.
>>7334809Ultimately, I think it's helpful to keep things in perspective. Remembering that you're creating art for the porn threads of animal people from a children's movie, so no matter how many (you)'s you get, you've already lost, is helpful.
>>7334896There are actually very few artists here who have training of any kind, I believe. Off the top of my head, Fuel, Nobby, Gud, Bobo, Middry and Rose must have had some university training, but many are hobbyists.I wonder whether there are ways to share more tutorials for people in the thread? Improvement is a huge motivator, and its really frustrating to be stuck without a clear path to improvement.
>>7334937Ciwi, Finnickfag, and Bore are also professionally trained.
>>7334946Good catches.I wonder if Reply went or is in school?
>>7334946>>7334937I recognized like 2 of those names.I really gotta catch up on all the drawfags that have come here since last May.
>>7334937i myself minor in art. taking a digital art class this semester, but it's not exactly what i expected. next semester it'll be a digital illustration class. i guess i do have an idea of which direction to head in a way, but it's vague and frustratingly so. i need to improve my foundations, but there's just an overabundance of tutorials, books, lessons, and as someone who needs structure and a clear path to take to improve, i struggle.>>7334946p-please, professionally trained is a bit over qualifying my meager training.
>>7334973Still more than I have,
>>7334997sure, but many great artists taught themselves fully. i've only actually had 2 drawing classes, the others have been more design classes that i felt were taught poorly enough that i didn't get much from them. so don't feel bad, anon. we're all gonna make it, eventually. ;_;
>>7334829Well, first sorry I have my software in spanish, but usually I use the pencil and the "fusion" tool. After I have the line work I apply the shadows in another layer and then with "fusion" blur them. Remember that the way you trace while blurring will affect on how the shadows will look.I also use the "Diluted color" which makes your traces more artistic, and if your apply small pressure on your pen you can also use it to blur, just that in this caste is harder to work on small details.
>all this supportive art discussionYou people are the best.
>>7334973Jumping into this conversation, but I definitely feel you on how horrible it is to not know how to improve. I was rejected from my creative writing minor without any explanation as to where I needed to improve or what I had done wrong, save for my poetry instructor who wrote "This is the worst thing I have ever read" in red ink over my submission to his class.I don't have any answers on how to improve drawing, but what I can tell you is I've never talked to any artist or craftsperson that'll say its a trick: its all basics basics basics. Improving foundation is boring, tedious, monotonous, and grueling, and its not the magic bullet anyone wishes, but skills are a pyramid built on having that underlying layer.Proactive practice and studious research. You do that for 8 years, you'll be great at anything you do.(but you'll feel like you're just okay)
>>7335073Not me bitch
>>7334896>>7334973Ah, but the your worst critique is yourself.Don't worry, it happens to everyone, even me, even if I'm so young from an artistic standpoint.I think the only solution I can give you is the following: analyze in a critical way.First take the pics of artists you like. Then yours. Then begin comparing every single point. It can be painful, but it is necessary.Begin: of what you are not satisfied? Is it the lineart? Is it the colours? The shadows? The proportions? The basics? The fourth finger of the left hand? You shouldn't say "It sucks". You should say "WHY it sucks".Then search the other drawings and compare. Learn. Absorb.Almost everything I know about drawing tubedudes I've got from Alec's drawings. I've studied colour theory (especially on how a colour changes with the adjacent) by looking at a Middry pic. I've become better at drawing fur by studying Rose's, Inky's, Gerardson's and even your drawings. If you can't learn from school learn from others. Don't look at other artists as opponents, but as teachers, so you can be teacher yourself. You can do it.A hug.>>7335065Thanks a lot! Also don't worry about the language, Spanish and Italian are very similar
>>7331403>>7331142>Nick and Judy keep pushing eachother to further expose themselves in public>Eventually they fuck in a train or behind a tree, hoping someone finally catches them
>>7335103
>>7334937>>7334946Foxbutt got some mad skills as well, pretty sure they've got training
>>7335082i just wish i could find a method to improve, i'm not opposed to the tedious, grueling grind. i am currently taking japanese for my language in college (due to some poor choices, i am kinda stuck with it lol) and i excel at this kind of thing. i know that if i take this vocab, these kanji, and repeat them and write them over until they stick in my head then i can improve. much like writing, art is not so straight forward (for me at least) so i am having a hard time finding the way to grind. when i do, i think i'll improve quickly--relatively speaking. but damn it's hard.>>7335116i'll tell you the exact problem that i am having a hard time getting over, it is imagining (and thereby producing an image that gives the perception of) shapes in 3d.i can't improve my posing, my figures, none of that because i can't seem to wrap my head around the 3d space of basic shapes. it seems dumb, but man i'm really stuck. so all my drawing i have to reference and it feels flat. not that referencing is bad, but either way, it turns out flat.
>>7335082>"This is the worst thing I have ever read"I seriously hope you're embellishing the story, this sounds asshole-ish as fuck.
>>7334560I don't, I have Alzheimer.
>>7334288yep, since i'm a new drawfag i just focus on practicing and doing some unexpected request and doodles. Like getting in contact first, and being more active. Guess it's more important than (you)s for me now
>>7335161I use the following method:>Draw something.>Save and modify to make it better.>Repeat 4-5 times until I'm satisfied with the final product.>Compare each iteration to see which changes were for the better and learn from those changes.>Hate myself for spending that much time and effort in a single drawing.
>>7335209yeah, i spend a long time on just one picture regardless if i do that or not. one of my issues it being a perfectionist. i have done some studies to help my painting and i find every time i learn a lot with them. i take a photo and try to create as close to a 1:1 as i can. take for example this (and i'm sorry for the offtopic picture, please forgive me) is one i did early on.so i see real improvement doing this, but kinda in a different direction than the 3d issue i have. it's easier to make things 3d when it's not just lineart...loli really need to do some zootopia paints so i have some better examples than offtopic stuff
>>7335209Let's simplify the process>Hate myselfbingo
>>7331432>can you spot the two-word phraseDo you know what you do to me? I'm going to have to reread them all to find it.
>>7331172what the fuck kinda shit is this to wake up to
>>7335170There were some weird professors at Berkeley, and I think many of them went outside what I would consider a professional attitude with their students. In an art theory class I was used as an example of how income inequality creates unfair advantage in education because I said I had seen a painting they were asking questions about in its gallery before the semester. But overall it was still a great experience. A few bad apples doesn't spoil the batch.
>>7335161>>7335243>shapes in 3dThese are quite the problem, also for me, but let's see if I can help.Like everything, you start from the basics. Cube, spheres, cylinders, and so on. First you need to become acquainted in drawing them from all point of views, perspective, projections and so on. Boring but it helps. Then you combine them. Look at Alec's study on the left. You can see in background all the little spheres he used, combining them to create paws. Then you see that the biggest role is given by shadows. Look at the drawing you have posted. It is easier to give a 3D effect because you already have tones. So my suggestion is this: after basic training on 3D shapes, when you sketch the first draft, draw every circumference, every hidden line, every idea of a shadow (with dashed lines).Connect them. Then keep only the lines that you could actually see, like in the pic I posted.

Yo anons of /ztg/topia, what're ya doing?I tell you what I did and it was a lot of fun, but also kind of exhausting (I'm still not at Comic's level).Anyways, I've read some new stuff for you!> https://soundcloud.com/longjing/eye-for-an-eye-by-mistereanonRemmy discovers that going shopping with Betty can be quite fun.> https://soundcloud.com/longjing/toxicity-by-misteeanonThis one is pretty cool. >>7336422>Links to an artist that quoted Zootopia during his show>Not even reworded, just straight up quotes the speechI couldn't make it past 1 second
>>7336422>"The group was observing animals around the watering hole, and it was predators and prey alike drinking water and living in harmony at that moment because there's kind of a social understanding between them that they all need water," Moore said. "And we all thought that was an interesting social handshake in the animal world that is very much like the human world. In a city there can be people who don't see eye to eye and have different points of view but we put them aside and live together. But that doesn't mean those feelings go away. So we thought what if 'Zootopia' became a story about injustice, discrimination, as well as racism? We didn't just want to tell another funny animal movie." >But the last thing the filmmakers wanted was to feel preachy. As the other “Zootopia” director Byron Howard puts it, “We never wanted the end of the film to be like, ‘Judy Hopps solved racism.’”>But since Trump’s successful but historically contentious presidential campaign, the movie has taken on a greater importance in showing how a community of different people with different views can unify.>“Even with the Trump presidency, no matter what side of the fence you're on, we owe it to future generations to make good decisions to try to work together and understand each other and I think that's what the film is trying to say,” Howard said.

What is it about the paring that people dislike? Personally I don't care for it either way, positive or negative, though that mainly comes from me not caring for Gideon overall.I will admit that this one was kind of interesting, if strange. I feel like the fic basically said that the incident with Gideon caused Judy to see that a cop can't become a bunny, which makes it all the more weird with the Judeon route. I know Judy is a kind individual but would she really feel comfortable with someone who, ultimately, caused her to give up on her dreams?

I love you all.Like I mentioned earlier, these last few weeks have been really strange, both with everything that happened here and with me constantly dealing with what seemed like virus after virus.Knowing that I would finally come back soon and get to engage you all again really gave me something to look forward to.I'll try to stay brief so it doesn't turn into one big blogpost, but I do want to apologize for the trouble my dramatics caused around New Years.Normally I'd ignore salty shitposting and tone RF posting down until it passed, but that one time in particular I was feeling really down and shitty about myself, so it managed to have some extra impact.I should have stepped away from the computer and took a walk, but instead I let it get to me, and I'm very sorry for any trouble it's caused since then.So many of you have been so supportive since it happened, I can't begin to say how much I appreciate it (even those who gave me the swift tough-love kick in the pants I needed). As far as things go from here, I'm back proper, and I do hope to rededicate myself to getting new content out for you all on a more regular basis than just every TT.Lets make /ztg/'s 2017 a great one.>>7336705>>7336803Heh. Yeah, sorry about that.I don't normally write anything Judeon and will probably stick to my preferred Gideon ships as time goes on, but when the idea came to me of a scene where Judy never became a cop but still felt the call of the film's timeline, I decided to run with it.

>>7336862Hey, don't apologize for it! As I said, it was interesting; strange but interesting. I don't mind Judeon really, I tend to stay away from it because I just don't care for Gideon, but run with any ideas you have! I just thought I would point out how the idea can seem weird if you look at it as a whole. I can definitely see Judy and Gideon becoming friends no matter what once he gets over his demons. However, if the incident with Gideon when they were kids caused Judy to give up on her dreams, it was most likely because of a combination of fear, shame, and realization of how much stronger most mammals are compared to bunnies. Considering that even when she originally used that event as motivation she still held onto a subconscious fear of foxes, I don't know if she would really feel comfortable with Gideon in an intimate way. She would also need to interact with Gideon in a way that makes her see past her prejudice of foxes like she did with Nick. Also, as a side note, would you consider doing a Nick version of "What Could Have Been"?Past all that, glad to have you back! Sorry to hear about dealing with all that and happy to hear you are feeling much better!

>>7338904>Missing 6 months of threads was a huge mistake.Yeah I can see catching up with 6 months worth of that can be daunting.Still, that's what you get for leaving for 6 months instead of dedicating every moment of your life to the thread like you should.

As a reminder there's another thread up for when it's time to migrate: >>7331078>>7331078>>7331078

>>7338995To be fair, I had uni stuff to worry about, so it's not like I had a choice. And it's been a helluva task catching up, I'll tell you that for free. Not even just the jokes, but all the drawfags, writefags, OC's, fics, people who are famous just for being characters. The first thread I was in after coming back was so unfamiliar that it actually scared me away for a solid week.
>>7339074A lot of people did, from his first appearance MAX MIDNIGHT gave off all the impressions of a sparkledog. From his colors, his scars and his obviously oh so mysterious tragic backstory. It was a giant red flag that a lot of people not only ignored but straight up defended.

>>7339261Oh, sorry, I meant catching me up on whoever "Max Midnight" is.
>>7339286He's an annoying OC from the comic Inter-Shminter. He's a fox-hare hybrid or something and the artist has been drawing him more and more bizarrely human-looking as the comic has gone on. He's almost replaced Nick and Judy as the main character at this point.
>>7339236A comic by Spintherella, still in the process of making, contains this character, Max Midnight. At first he appeared like a sparkledoggish bunny (special black fur, scars) but still acceptable by Zootopia standards. Also the story was about Nick and Judy and their interspecies relationship that it is not good in the eyes of the inhabitants of Bunnyburrow. So nothing special, a little edgy, but the art and the comic were enjoyable. The the story begins revolving around Max and Spin changes little by little his appearances, making him a Schwarzenegger-like fox hybrid. No kidding.
>>7339329 I see. Danke.>hybridho boy we got a live one
>>7339286spintherella started writing a comic called Inter Schminter that started out with Judy and Nickeventually, the sparkledog OC Max Midnight was involved, and for the last 30 pages it's been all about himattached is what the character looked like in the beginning, and now
