That reminds me of a funny little thing. In 2015, in my state of Maine, the state legislature did away entirely with the State Department's review process for license plates, which meant absolutely any combination that could fit on one was legal fair game. The decision was reversed in 2021 because the situation was deemed too out of control, but those intervening years were wild. Pic related was pretty much a daily sight by the height of it.

PseudoFox here to remind you peeps that it's Remembrance Sunday!

This day serves as a way to memorize whose associated with the armed forces of Great Britain and the Commonwealth countries during both World War One and World War Two: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remembrance_Sunday

I've mentioned before in thread that as a CC, well, I've had an extremely terrible past three or so years. Multiple hospitalizations. Lots of circumstances that I'd rather not get into. I really did nearly die, having to have invasive surgery.

My last writing came out in July 2019. I'd done some painting in the meantime. Still, wasn't sure if I'd ever be that creative again unless things really changed for me.

Yet today really has been different! I actually felt inspired to write not just a few hundred words but thousands upon thousands of them! Enough for two new chapters for my old piece involving World War One and Zootopia!

The synopsis reads: "Every generation fights its own battles, mammals trying their best to see that children won't have to face as tough a challenge. Reconciling with his mother after experiencing a wonderful change in his life, Nick Wilde decides to take a deep, complex look into his family history. His great-grandfather, Hastings Wilde, experienced a fascinating life's story that featured twists and turns with influences lasting years later."

Please take a look at this! I hope that everybody has had a nice weekend! I really do!

After watching the Duke episode I felt kinda bad for the guy but at the same time he pretty much has it coming for him, maybe an genuine intention of actually self-improving would be interesting although he'd most likely have a relapse and go back to his criminal ways the moment an minor inconvenience pops up.

Or maybe I'm overthinking and I just want to stick my dick in his twink ass
>>
>>52337440
>twink
the last word i'd use to describe him is "twink" desu. thats a bit more high class a title then whats apropriate for him
the guy's probably perpetually broke, homeless, and in need of a shower. his fur is matted like dreadlocks and sticky. he cant remember the last time he brushed his teeth and his. Breath could drop a charging buffalo if his musk doesn't first. he drinks most of the money he gets and rolls cigarettes made out of discarded ends and newsprint. he doesnt wipe or even wash his paws after wards. he's underweight and his spine pokes out from under his skin like a crocodile. he's got the body and the liver of a plasterer 10 years older than him. at least thats all the reading i get from him
>>
>>52336482
Fucking hell, this is incredible... I've been meaning to play Disco Elysium in the future, and this just added fuel to that itch I need scratching. The art that goes with the well written dialogue is incredible as well. Amazing work
>>
>>52337440
Character development becomes useless when it's confined to an already established structure. This only confirms that he wants to become more than a loser weasel to ridicule, but someone who has a legitimate career even with the desire to exploit it for more money. Part of me wants to see a genuine reform but let's face it, Duke's more of a fun character when he's all about maximizing capitalism. So I hope to see a balance of that in the (inevitable maybe idk) sequel.

A dream scenario would be a Zootopian spin-off with criminals that're genuinely terrible in most ways but have an extremely strict "never con an honest mark" rule, so their adventures generally involve robbing other criminals mixed in with getting the really disgusting types (such as kidnappers and domestic abusers) either arrested or offed.

at this point I can't even tell wtf the point of this is.

I guess if I say that borbaNick took the biggest L in the borbaverse then I'm "fatphobic" now or something, but clearly the intention behind this shit was to show: "See, hehe, he is 'happy' with his 'beautiful' wife, why aren't you happy?".

Dude, I'm fat too, I know I'm not attractive

What really that gets me is that if you drew Nick with this general appearance but made his eyes normal, smile normal, and body posing normal, you'd honestly have a kind of unique and decent idea for a post-retirement Nick living adventures after leaving Zootopia in his old age or something.

Or maybe I'm just being silly.

This is a commentary on it that after Judy's betrayal, Nick went for someone who can't afford to betray him. >>52343368
>>52343482
The fact that cows enjoy the act of being milked probably means that their milk is not that hard to get, but it's probably way more of a niche thing. It's like their version of how in the U.S. only a few people get really into, I don't know, boxed wine.
>>
>>52343527
Cows don't exist in Zootopia, as they are a domestic animal

They've been seen in comics.

They're even mentioned in:

https://zootopia.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_Species_Seen_in_Zootopia#Animals_only_seen_in_comics

Domesticated cows are also just descendants of the wild cow species that were discovered and then managed by people.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurochs

If people didn't exist, they'd still be around. They just wouldn't be our property.

that's sorta been my idea too, that giving milk is sort of treated like giving blood. except you can do it much more often and the pay isn't quite as high
speaking of i also have a head canon that mammalian science has just been able to develop synthetic blood that can be accepted by wide varieties of species because the logistics of needing so many different blood types in a medical environment is most likely not feasible

BorbaNick is in an unhappy marriage to a crude disgusting slob that verbally abuses him. He is dead inside.
>>
>>52343566
>>52343607

The process of domestication / breeding is a planned and controlled regimen of animals being selectively allowed to produce offspring with specific traits to either decrease or magnify across multiple generations.

You're having individuals bond / fuck in a controlled way for a specific outcome.

And that's a lot like the arranged marriages that were a feature of politics for a lot of europe's history. You had a lot of intermarriage in the ruling classes and it was also kind of a thing on the more regional level.

You're not going to war with a family your own flesh and blood is married into. You're also not going to have your family marry somebody off the street that's only going to take from, not add to, the family's wealth or prestige.

There you go.
You've recreated domestication and it was something we had already done, ourselves.

Here's a bunch of goats up a tree

Even if it's taken literally that rabbits have hundreds of kits, I never pictured Judy as one to do so. She's a city-dweller with a commitment to a demanding career, and I don't think she'd have the time nor resources to raise a large family even if she had the desire. That TIWTLLL comic from Reply about her just nonchalantly ditching every kit in her litter except one comes to mind.
Besides, canines are hardly strangers to baby-making, either. I can't say for absolutely certain if it applies to foxes, too, but a single feral dog couple can churn out 80 or more pups in a lifetime (a dog's lifetime, mind) if they only breed once a year. And jackals have an evolutionary trait that causes them to breed more frequently and have larger litters in times of population stress, which is why settlers' attempts at culling them were never successful.

One thing that I find pretty weird yet oddly endearing is the concept of the night-howlers. The idea in itself is not bad whatsoever, though whenever you consider that it's widely grown and used as decorations, no mandate was ever made about how fucking 'poisonous' and why they shouldn't be grown is confusing to me, considering that it's used for ill intent. Admittedly the idea of it creating spores to ward of mammals from eating/picking/etc. them by making them go savage (or something along those lines) is actually pretty neat imo, though throwing a bouquet of them at your wedding is kinda dumb.

I kind of wish Zootopia took place in maybe the 30s or 40s instead of the present day. But then we probably wouldn't get Pack Street so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It *was* set somewhere closer to the mid-century in the original draft. By the techology and fashion in the concept art it seems to be an unspecific point between the 1960s and mid-1970s. Zistopia's author settled on 1974.

I think the nighthowlers must have been one of the latest plot additions, to be honest. It might explain why the deus ex machina resolution for everything (the antidote that cures all the affected mammals at once) arrives almost the very moment the cause is even known, and happens in less than one minute. And, as you said, why they don't go into any real detail as to why nighthowlers weren't regualted in the first place (especially since their use at the Hopps farm demontrated they were already well known to be both psychoactive and toxic), how the doctors investigating the problem were somehow totally stumped, and how they found an antidote so quickly anyway when that suggests this wasn't widely known.
That all being said, it is still impressive that the plot ended up being as cohesive as it is when you consider that it was slapped together in probably the span of months. The fact that the first trailer revealed nothing specific about the plot has always made me think nothing workable was finished even up to that point.

I have no idea what it means but Judy does say it's a "Class-C botanical". Maybe that's an indication of security?
As for the ending of "The Real Rodents of a Little Rodentia" I do feel like it was mostly done for fun, because if those plants could make mammals savage just by airborne spores, Zootopia and Bunny Burrow should look like the zombie apocalypse by now.

>>52351360
Nighthowlers were also part of the earlier shock collar script. But it was different because the effect would only last for minutes. On top of that the nighthowlers didn't make anyone savage per se but was instead inhibiting the parts of the brain that made mammals sapient and basically just left only the old reptile brain functioning. Most preds would act savagely because the moment they got hit with the nighthowlers they would get confused and scared about what is happening to them i.e. feelings are running high which in turn would trigger their shock collar. In short - as they they reverted to their primeval self, the shock collar basically acted as a force feed back mechanism making them savage. This also explains why Nick, when hit with nighthowlers in the old plot, was able to protect Judy and not go savage, simply because it was one of his basic desires.

But now without the shock collars they had to make the nighthowlers have people go savage, period. And they made the effect permanent probably in order to have Judy still feeling defeated despite having found all the missing mammals.

I'm thinking of how I'll probably spend most of my Tuesday with my step-father at his place discussing different personal things as well as probably doing a lot of laundry plus watching a movie together, likely also getting gas. Other routine stuff will happen. Was going to donate a bunch of items to a local charity (things such as extra socks and thermometers).

Listening to this song makes me think of Zootopia:

The stilted, nerdy, kind of inherently odd male vocals in this make me think of what one of my Zootopia fursona 'me's probably sounds like.

Staying on target can be a monumental task. I can attest. Have you ever strongly considered some kind of time management resource? I use LeechBlock because it has a great deal of flexibility for exactly how you want to block sites, down to time of day and days of the week.
Alternatively-- and this works better for me, I think --I set aside a separate device in a separate corner of my room to be the one I do my work on. Just somewhere and something physically apart from my internet hole. One that preferably has no internet connectivity. I think the simple fact of the two tasks being physically apart from each other helps you compartmentalize them as truly being separate tasks, rather than one.

Flowers are a pretty adaptable thing, even flowers on the same stem grow at different sizes, i have a fucktonnof dhalias and those thing grow however the fuck they want, some grow the size of my whole palm and even bigger, and just right bellow it on that same stem grows another that's barely the diameter of 2 fingers side by side.
I'm guessing the flower shop just selects by size and that way it can cater to small-scale mammals, from rodent-size to fox-size whennit comes to nighthowlers.
But yeah, Animation-wise they definitelly just re-sized a prop
>>
Would it be stupid if I wrote something short and gay about Marty from PS that's not even really related to PS storylines, just him being gay for the sake of being gay?
