Bless you OP for choosing such a based edition

On a completely unrelated topic, does anyone know if it's possible to mod the KSP game such that you can insert your own assets in place of the Kerbals? As in... have the little astronaut-dudes look like whatever you want? I was looking up how the game works, and the Kerbals are kind of tiny. About 2.5 feet tall. So all of their space capsules are similarly small sized. And I just got it into my head to start a Tube Space Program. Think of how cozy the little guys would be, floating up in space, in a very compact capsule that's still quite roomy for them.

My headcanon is that mice and other small rodents make up a disproportionate slice of high tech R&D, and their research schools in Zootopia leave everyone else in the dust.

If it's modern consumer tech, and especially if it's advanced aerospace or vehicle engineering, it's thanks to rodents.

Tubes and rodents are nearly perfect spaceflight candidates. Minimizing mass keeps weight, and therefore pretty much all spaceflight costs and complexity, exponentially down.

There are some risks with small mammals not having the mass for certain tasks, and being generally more susceptible to radiation etc., But with the weight savings from not having to lift a rhino to LEO you could also wrap an entire 20-crew rodent spacecraft in a pressurized layer of water armor, and basically eliminate the radiation risks entirely.

Mice and such would have their place, definitely. But I like tubes as crew in particular because they're not too small (they could probably handle a decently sized wrench or drill), but they can fit into openings that are ridiculously small. In KSP there's a super small docking port, and the game lets you transfer crew through the connection (because in terms of game mechanics it sees all docking ports as the same), but there's a lot of debate on whether or not a Kerbal would actually fit through such a small gap. All the while I'm thinking... you could squeeze 3 tubes through that gap simultaneously

> "Oh no, the emergency release valve is hidden behind the control panel!"
> "No worries I got it"
> "You don't understand, the gap to reach it is only 6 inches wide! You'll never be able to..."
> "OK I flipped the switch thing, what's next?"

My headcanon is that Zootopia HAS to have affirmative action for larger mammals since it would be retardedly uneconomical to hire them over smaller mammals. This naturally results in small mammals forming 'libertarian' movements, which are simply misnomered small mammal supremacy movements, asking why 87% of the population keeps bending over for the remaining portion despite that 87% contributing to far more than 87% of the economy and being responsible for a minority of the property damages in the city.

Rodents might be able to do the same job, but they drag their own ability to command wages because they are so numerous. This pulls their wages down to be more in line with their costs of living, which is understandably small.
>>
>>36810659

When such troublemaking organizations grow too powerful they usually find their end when there is an unfortunate accident involving an elephant sitting on their headquarters.
>>
>>36810659
But what about the other jobs that are far better suited to larger mammals? Would they have affirmative action for allowing rodents and such into construction?

wages aren't even the only thing in question though. Imagine having an entire skyscraper full of skilled workers all crammed into a building the size of a shed

How does Marty open his apartment door? Moreover, how the hell does he carry around his keys? Does he pay for everything using a debit/credit card that's more him-sized? Does that mean that all the shitty delis and mom and pop stores around Zootopia all carry card readers? Or does he use NFC to pay for things?
>>
>>36811054
This makes me think of issues that would come up regarding fair resource allocation. An elephant would have to get paid a lot more than a mouse, because everything the elephant does is going to be a huge multiple of what the mice take up. Housing, food, water, clothes. For an elephant they'll all count for 20 to 100 times what your average mouse uses up.
>>
>>36811054
it's far easier to build a crane that can build a skyscraper for mice than it is to build assemblers that can let rhinos construct tiny metal bawkses for electronics

Cost of living would scale pretty closely with, well, actual mammal scale. Consider housing. A mouse might buy and outfit a luxury condo for $10k. An elephant will pay wayyyyyy more if only because there is proportionally more physical material involved in construction.

It's one of the reasons I think this idea of large mammals getting a big tax relief kind a works.

That way employers wouldn't need to discriminate against anyone as from their point of view they pay both a mouse and an elephant the same money, but mouses who have way cheaper way of life help zootopia's economy more and allow elephants to keep more money that they need to eat.

I never liked these ideas. The ideal of zootopia is an egalitarian society where the different species can live together. Sure the movie showed there's still rough spots, but over all the city can work. But schemes like this suggest that, no, the city cant work without MASSIVE programs to distort everything into place. According to this, zootopians arent equal, and must be forced into place. It's like trying to put together a puzzle but half the pieces are from a different set.
>>
here we go
>>
>>36812877
It also makes no sense that a Jumbo pop, that is like nothing but a snack for an Elepahnt is 15$ which was Judy's entire lunch money as we see later that she is forced to eat a 1$ microwave tv-dinner for paying for the Jumbo-pop.

As someone pointed out that can only be normal if elephants and other large mammals have a looot more money for their daily lives. But as the example shows, it makes no sense that an Elephant police officer would be paid more than a Rabbit police officer.

>>36812872
Not on the genetics. Get taxed more so the city can provide the special services someone small would need.

Zootopia roads and sidewalks must be extremely maintained, since a crack on the sidewalk is nothing to an elephant or a wolf, but can cause a mouse to fall to its death. All the special areas that ensures rodents the safety they deserve must cost the city a fortune, I think its logical that they would give most of the money for it.
>>
>>36812877

Problem is that it really cant work without a lot of support and fudging from the system.

Sure the idea of equality and whatnot is charming and pleasant but these are animals that range from the size of your pinkie to needing as much or more food than your
body weight every day.

If Bob the Mouse gets as much money from a days work as Phil the Elephant. Then either Bob that literally can live in a shoebox and could feed several familes on a slice of bread lives a life of luxury or Phil starves to death in a ditch.
>>
>>36812997
the jumbo pop also shows that there's far more of a price variation in small and large mammal economics through the way it's genuinely profitable enough to be provide a day's wage to convert it into smaller ones to resell to lemmings
>>
>>36812997
>15$ which was Judy's entire lunch money as we see later that she is forced to eat a 1$ microwave tv-dinner for paying for the Jumbo-pop
There's no proof that was the reason she was making the microwaved dinner. If Judy didn't have much money, why did she let Jerry keep the $5 change she was owed for paying with a $20?

>>36813088

If a small lemming popsicle is 2 dollar (because its organic and from a street vendor that are ripping off people on impulse buys ALL the time) than a big store selling an industrial giant popsicle for $15 is a totally normal.

That's not price variantion that's consistant pricing. Price variation would've been if the giant Jumbo pop also only would've been $2 as the lemming sized.

>>36813088
As I see it that was the visual story telling of that scene, showing how her good intentions fucked up her day.
Telling the mean elephant to keep the change was her just being impulsive/angry.

No anon I'm saying that the price difference between selling at $2 and buying at $15 is massive enough that he can
>buy popsicle sticks
>buy the $15 jumbo pop
>at least 108 popsicles made with less than half the jar
>lets round that to 200
>at $2 each, that's $400 to split evenly between Nick and Finnick for the "$200 a day fluff"
>assume sticks are simply sold back at purchase price or something
>the price differences are so massive you can easily turn a $15 expense + gas money into $400
That is NOT something that happens with consistent pricing

it is absolutely, every wonder why a 0.5 liter bottle of cola is $2 dollars but a 2.5 liter ones are $2.5 (at least in my country)
You can easily buy a large bottle of cola and fill up 5 half liter paper cups with it and make $7.5 profit. This is the same thing just on a bigger scale.

Larger products are usually a lot cheaper because their price depends on packing and shipping and ton of different factors too.
>>
>>36813451
>>36813624(You)
Imagine if the Jar wasn't liquid but Jellybeans.
Nick bought a dollar-store 5 pound bag for $15 and he and Finnick is in the process of filling them back into a 100 small packages that they will each sell for $2. That is simply put rebranding, not species specific price accommodation.
>>
>>
>>36813624
>every wonder why a 0.5 liter bottle of cola is $2 dollars but a 2.5 liter ones are $2.5 (at least in my country)
yes, I know about buying in bulk, but the price difference between elephant popsicle and lemming popsicle is far beyond a basic bulk price difference
>>
>>36813864
yeah, but I think that's because Nick and Finnick overpriced their cheap popsicles to hell (there is a reason they sold them to banker lemmings) and not because the Elephant Jumbo pop was cheap so elephants could afford it
>>
>>36813864
prices are based on subjective value judgements. Those lemmings were willing to buy it at $2, so thats what the price was. It didnt have so much to do with the cost of the inputs, as it was how much they were willing to pay.

That's the problem; Zootopia is held together by Disney magic first and foremost. There is no making a city of animals with sizes that vary that extremely work. I'm of two minds.

Life influences art and all, and talking-animals-conveying-aesops is as old as recorded history but if we're using the disney movie about the fox and the bunny as race relations curriculum for actual law enforcement we've screwed up somewhere.

But it's probably still an improvement in places...

Reminds me of how some pre-psych classes were showing Inside Out to their students. Like... yeah, OK. Introducing concepts of childhood trauma via the metaphors in the movie. But isn't real psychology a little bit more nuanced and complicated than Disney/Pixar?
>>
>>36814375
Wait, something isn’t right here. Why doesn’t Nick look like he is going to cry here?

But seriously this looks good. Like how Nick was overwhelmed by buns, now Judy is covered in foxes.
>>
>>36816530
It's useful to have stories convey complex ideas, and stories made for children are often stories with messages told in a simple, straight-forward manner.
In terms of Inside Out, the concepts involved included many that can be expanded upon in greater detail over the course, such as childhood trauma, how emotions affect us, how memories form our personality, how our personalities can change and shift over short and long periods of time, etc.
And it being a pre-psych class, you've got mostly undergrads, i.e., dumb shits out of high school who don't know how to behave but can now buy as much beer as they want. Most undergrad programs are babysitting.

>>So as you can see, niggers are basically superpredators but the only reason they ever do anything bad is because they're nothing more than willing slaves to the feds and refuse to break their socio-economic chains, instead rallying to blame low and middle class whites
Zootopia really is woke.

>>36816803
or as I said before, they used to it being outrageously overpriced because just like in real world where street vendors will charge you 2 dollars for the same can of soda you can buy for 0.75 from the store down the street, in zootopia street vendors rely on the same impulse buys to make a profit

Hi, /ztg/! Falke here with some TT. I can't believe it's the anniversary already. It always sneaks up and I don't feel like I do enough.

(I technically didn't see the movie myself until the 14th, so maybe I can do something else for that too.)

>"You doing okay?"

>Judy had a patient smile. "I'm fine, silly."

>Nick humored her long enough to open the lid on the fancy takeout box. She was still cold from Tundratown. He could feel that much in her ears.

>But this park was a good place to warm up. Now that they were done with work for the day they were off Delta Road on the east side of the Sahara divide, sitting on a broad sandstone bench that was still radiating the day's sunny heat. The warm breeze from the desert district came up the hills and terraces, tugging at Nick's cheek fur and rustling in the trees above them.

>Dinner was still hot - thick spaghetti noodles in Morgiano's famous spicy sauce, and a crisp house salad to go with it. Nick had debated adding wine, too - but they were still in uniform, so they decided it could wait until they made it back to Judy's apartment.

>For now he passed over the noodles, and grinned when she immediately twirled her smaller fork into the pile.

As if we're somehow gonna see you as the great white savior you really want to be and we're all gonna eventually feel like you feel, hate who you hate, and scream like you would scream, and we're all gonna save the world from the big black cuckening but really,
It's just never going to have that effect.
We are not going to process the information you're giving, in the exact way you've received and collected it, and you are going to wonder how this isn't turning out like you thought it would. Because it's almost like we're all looking at you like some toddler that screams all day and then goes to sleep after throwing a diaper full of shit and piss all over the walls. Like some homeless meth head having a sunstroke with his pants down that's sticking his tongue out like a snake. That's caked in dried out dogshit because you haven't thought to close your mouth.

And just maybe,
We might be right.

Food
Lust

>The blood was quickly reaching the tips of his ears, now an even deeper shade of red.
>He felt it rush toward some other side too.
>What was in front of him was just a simple piece of sushi, a normal salmon nigiri.
>But the bunny that held it, looking into his eyes, her paw on his legs, her tail sensually raised...
>He couldn't stop his hands.

And oh yeah one other thing,

Even Fucking Hitler would've hated you.

The Empire of Japan had sworn that they would also declare on the Soviet Union.

Which was the sole reason Germany declared war on the United States.

He hated the American Bundeswehr.

Every rally they held in New York, all the shit they spewed about how much better (less hypocritical) than D. C. Stephenson
and the KKK were, all their talk about how they needed to save America from itself, he hated them, and wanted nothing more than for American National Socialism to shut up, die, and stop instigating FDR's America into a war with his Germany.

He saw them as pointless instigators.

You weren't even wanted by your own personal hero.

Even The Real Nazis would've hated you.

And, you know, just on the inverse, in case you're not American, but German, here's a friendly reminder:

Hitler ordered Berlin's subway network to be flooded.

In order to kill any civilians who were too afraid to fight, and chose to find underground shelter instead.

In his head, riddled by meth and parkinson's, syphillus, all his paranoia, and his sociopathy,

If the aryan birthplace which he raised Germany to become, if they were not willing to fight to their very extinction,

If they were not prepared to go extinct against bolshevism,

They deserved to be made extinct by his own orders.

Because they failed him.

You failed him.

And this world you've inherited is exactly the one he'd say you deserved. The same as your ancestors. All the rape, murder, pillaging, torture, the gulags, the stazi, the berlin wall, Every Fucking Thing that happened up until the fall of the soviet union, he would be just fine and dandy and happy with it all.

Because you are nothing but a failure.

You have been screaming, screaming, screaming screaming and screaming, you've screamed to eternally scream, you've thrown a five year long temper tantrum about gays, jews, blacks, women and liberals, liberals and all their enabling of untermench to destroy this thing you've built yourself up to be, for five years you've been here and for five years you've inserted yourself and for five years you've screamed I'M MORE RIGHT THAN YOU ARE and you've screamed.

You'd post a picture like this but it's you.

This picture is (You).

You are as real as a spam bot.

You are as intelligent as an artificial intellegence that has been programmed to think in binary and if not If-X-then-Y

Then to just consume information, without any understanding of what to look for except patterns. To find which order some words go in and to find which ones start a sentence and end a sentence.

You are so clearly defined by your patterns and input that after 5 years, you are not a person to us.

You're a thing.

That arrogant nonsense Wagner wrote about jews not being able to compose music? Only emulate it?

You can only emulate human behavior.

Because you are nothing else but a thing that can't even post on /pol/ because you can't even Discuss racial, political, or ideological theory.

You can only parrot it.

Like a robot.

You can't even properly Seethe in an emotion you don't understand.

I think this'll really help you relax.

Drink it slow and once you've calmed down maybe you'd be willing to entertain the idea that someone else's perspective matters when it comes to understanding why they act the way they do.

We've seen no indication that the city so much as has a military base or shipyard, meaning there's going to be nearly no military presence to defend the city. Police and SWAT look like the best you'll get, meaning the city will be steamrolled and completely slaughtered.
But they'll still win in the end of course, because the invaders killed their enemies, that means Zootopia wins.
>>
That looks real funny right now, doesn't it?

You know, if you can just ignore all the days you've spent here to just keep throwing the same bait out that even a spam bot could post,

It looks real funny if you ignore all of the five years you've spent coming here, all the effort in no effort posting you've put in, all your energy, time, desperation for amusement,

If you ignore just how long you've been that pathetic, that little 2 word post could be just a little cathartic, against all the things you try to ignore.

But you're here instead of on /pol/ when you're not even wanted there.

Like that fucking roach Dirlewanger, at a nice fancy party, with how much nobody wants to even look at him, much less even hear about the insurgency he's quelled in Belarus.

The diseased turd that every other fragment in the septic tank has to float away from.

You are simply a thoughtless thing that noone wants.

A mindless thing.

You are a Thing.

You have only one function, programmed into you, and that is to pretend you are a person.

You are a thing that only knows to come here and post about an agenda you can't even conceptualize, when we just don't care about it.

And all you have to do, in order to keep proving me right, about what a Thing you are, how inhuman, how unnatural, how fake and unreal you are?

You just have to keep screaming about "The Liberals" for another 5 years.

You just have to keep acting exactly how you've been, in order to prove me right about what a subhuman thing you aspire not to be.

But always will be.
