It didn't help that we're all half brothers, and his father was a drunken deadbeat who walked out on our mother. We all suspected he had some form of abandonment issues, but he refused to talk about it until he was older. But he had my father to raise him, and now that he's older, he recognizes how lucky he was. My father can be a pain in the ass at times, but he's a good man. I'm blessed that my relationship with my brother is as good as it is today, but I still feel awful about the way I treated him. It wasn't a constant thing, but still.
