I could easily see Pandora not reciprocating Charlie's feelings once she wakes up, and in that case I expect the payoff on Charlie and Remmy's interactions would mostly have to do with him being there for her at a time of emotional vulnerability, as he wasn't before. That leading to an ill-advised rebound relationship though, that seems unlikely.

If I had to bet on one relationship still happening I guess it'd be Anneke, since as awful as they were in the last update it also puts their conflict center stage as a plot thread, so if they ever manage to work through their larger racial issues (a big if, but this is a story) I could maybe see it. I don't necessarily think it's a good idea, it'd probably be pretty contrived, it just seems the last and thinnest possibility still live. Having dramatic tension is better for a relationship's possibility in a story than being settled and inert, like Avo and Betty are.

I mean more like if she reunites with Pandora, opens her heart, and Pandora's forced to let her down - even let her down easy - that's going to be a huge blow to Charlie. Her character's all but revolved around Pandora since the events of Savages, and Charlie's never been entirely stable.

If she gets her heart broken I expect it'll be up to Remmy to sit with her and help her get through it the way he didn't before, but there's just not really a natural path that leads from that to Charlie realizing, actually, Remmy's the one she wants to be with - at least, not a healthy one. Remmy himself seemed to be slowly realizing her feelings for Pandora by the end of their last chapter together, where he shows some uncommon deftness at the end there, aside from his general horniness I don't think he's thinks he's getting anywhere with Charlie either.

It's just as possible things will work out between Charlie and Pandora anyway and all of this will be moot.

There've been cases to make for each of them at other parts of the story, but right now Charlie's after someone else, Anneke's so mad with Remmy it might become the main storyline, and Avo and Betty have been moving in a stable platonic direction. There's just no romantic tension left.

If you're looking for court of law evidence to prove Charlie's into Pandora you'll obviously never get it before the climax of a story, half of the tension of a romantic subplot is the character not staring straight into the camera and saying "I am in love with so-and-so". You might as well ask where the signed confession is three quarters of the way through a murder mystery.

From a very basic writing perspective there's no point in constantly revisiting Charlie's feelings about Pandora (crying at her turning savage, sharing fears about her recovery, breaking into her store) if she just wants to give her good friend a hearty handshake when it's all over and done with. Characters go through arcs, arcs need to go somewhere or else they're shaggy dog stories, and Charlie developing a relationship with Pandora (or rather Remmy observing these feelings building in Charlie) is the only avenue of development these scenes point to.
