Man. Just went to poke around in Desuarchive for a bit because I know a lot of our artists came from MLP. Searched "Weaver" and the posts were a good 50/50 split between "Weaver was great" and "Weaver left for Zoot because he's a fandom jumper" We haven't really gotten a lot of "They got bored of our thing so they must be a bandwagoner" when we lose artists. (Or writers but no one really gives a fuck about 75% of our writefags anyway) You think we'll get that when Weaver/Nobby eventually move on? (Not trying to shitstir, genuinely just want to discuss it)

>>15697317Interesting thought. This whole fandom thing is new to me, and I started here with ztg.I can now see other fandoms but don't have enough life to afford any more time down another rabbit hole. And a little afraid for my sanity.

Reposting for the new thread before I go to bed!Its Thematic Thursday!Festivals, Conventions, and Expos Edition!I hope you have your weekend bags packed and your sleeping arrangements figured out, because we're all going to have a blast! Also hotel prices have quadrupled. Zootopia is a city with millions of mammals where anyone can be anything, and even though we're all different and unique in our own specials ways, you'll still find a lot of common interests shared among them all: what better way to meet others who share your hobbies, consumer needs or cultural rituals than at a community gathering? Or, you could even learn about a whole new world by going to one you've never heard of!There's tons to choose from! If you love hipponese comics, you can find an anime convention where fans dress up as their favorite characters (that metal karaoke red panda is a popular this year); a more business-minded mammal might like to visit the Mice MICE expo, which focuses extra-small sized meetings, incentives, conferencing and exhibition technologies and services-- if the Pizza Pals ever wanted to deliver globally, their boss should check it out; and with all the different cultures and species in Zootopia, you can bet there are plenty of festivals being held! Apparently there's going to be a big hibernation celebration going on at Snoozapalooza, where sleepy musicians sing lullabies.I'm here at my own station for TT! I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing here, but apparently Lou Furrigno will be in the booth next to me selling photos for 85 bucks. Send me a fic to read and I'll read it out to the crowd! Once they get here!>>15690103Heya buddy! "Listen here, fella--">Nick cut him off forcefully. "No, you listen. I don't know what you're up to, but better mammals than you have tried. I don't want to see you anywhere my sister again, or I'm calling the cops. We understand," said the rabbit matron.>"But--" the other sputtered.
>>15701955>"But nothing. Please, accept our apologies for causing you concern, Mr. Wilde.">Nick didn't respond.>Instead, he bent down to talk to the young, scared rabbit hiding in his tail. >>15702202>Bonnie and Stu Hopps watched helplessly as the fox stormed off with their daughter in tow.>"Bon, that was her!" Stu hissed.>"I know," she replied quietly.>"That's Judith! Our little Judy!">"I know, Stu," she repeated.>"Then why are we just standing here?" He demanded.>Bonnie took a deep breath.>She let it out slowly, because if she didn't, she was afraid she might break down. "Because she's safe, Stu. She's safe, and happy, and we have no right to change that.">"No right!? Bon, they gave her to foxes! Foxes took our baby!">Fury burned its way through Bonnie's skull, and she jumped on it, because anger was stronger, easier, than sorrow. "No, they didn't, Stu! We did! We gave our daughter away!">Stu backed up from the sudden steel in his wife's gaze, from her clenched fists. "That was a long time ago, Bonnie," he whispered, eying the crowd that was walking past the spat, curious.>"That doesn't change anything.">"It changes everything!" Stu exclaimed, turning his attention back to his wife. "The farm isn't in danger anymore! We're making more money than ever before! We can get her back! We can support her now, support as many kids as we need!">"What good would it do!?" Bonnie argued, wiping away the tears that were traitorously collecting in her eyes.>"Bonnie, hon, we'd get our baby back!">"And what if she hated you for doing it?">At that, Stu stopped cold. "She--she wouldn't--">"Really? You take her away from her family, the only home she's ever known, and you don't think she would hate it?">"She..." Stu swallowed heavily, his breath growing labored as his own tears threatened to surface. "She's a rabbit. She's family.">Bonnie shook her head sadly at the love of her life. "We have a name. We can reach out. But, Stu, before we can do that, there's a possibility we have to accept.">"What possibility?">Bonnie's gaze drifted to the ground. "We have to accept that she may not be our little girl anymore."Family Tiesfin

>>15702856
>>15702887Yeah, I think the author has kind of just accepted the whole mindless smut stuff they write. It was cringy when they were so defensive about their OC not being an easy, sort of slutty character when she totally was. Though I saw that they have since admitted to their first story being a big fuck up, partially because of how they handled their OC.Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with their smut stories; swinging porn and all that crap is not for everyone and that is fine. But at least the author is owning up to the fact it is pointless smut rather than anything interesting.>>15702953I don't think it would have felt completed without that final part, it needed some context from their POV and some closure. I love foxes
>>15704296they truly have unbeatable aesthetics
>>15704296>>15704310They're really nice looking.Understand a lot of cultures treat them as tricksters but is that true in all cultures? What do foxes represent in your culture?
>>15702856I'm sorry, does that rabbit have breasts?
>>15704725Most people around where I am think of them as just little assholes that kill chickens and they deserve to be shot on sight. There might be some native american myths around them but fucked if I know 'em
>>15705190Yes
>>15702856Love this
>>15704725>Understand a lot of cultures treat them as tricksters but is that true in all cultures?I think the idea of "foxes are tricksters" is universal because they are, as an overall species, very smart, usually a pain to keep away from smaller livestock and, the red fox in particular, pretty good at escaping larger predators, including humans with hunting dogs.Views on how "evil" foxes are tend to differ culture to culture though, ranging from "they are the devil!" to being seen as gods and warriors who fight with only their minds.>>15705190I mean, both Judy and the other rabbit have breasts, but yes. The OC, Trisha, is usually noted to be exceptionally busty in whatever fanfiction she is in.
>>15705399I love the idea of foxes using the shifty insult against others. Like really? Use the insult that started because we outsmarted literally everyone everytime? It's quite funny.
>>15704725tvtropes has a neat outline on how cultures view foxes http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FantasticFoxes>>15705423"Shifty" is secretly a compliment in fox society. Winning a fight without raising a paw is considered a noble deed in vulpine culture.
>>15705659thats really interestingi bet fox culture puts a lot of emphasis on their mythos, lots of fortune telling and hexes like putting salt or bones on the front door of your enemies>>15705203id like a story about a fox family in the sticks, who believe in the old beliefs and are shunned by the rest of the community for their species and practices
>>15704725We don't have foxes in my country, so our view of them is largely based on popular media, mostly cartoons and animated movies. That being said, I think we have a 50/50 view on how good or evil they are but do agree that they are all clever, charming, or masters of trickery.Sidenote, I googled if we had any variant of fox and the closest I could find were the Giant Golden Crowned Flying Fox. They're kinda cute, non-aggressive too. And pretty fucking huge for a bat. Like around 3 ft tall with a 6ft wingspan.
>>15706191>6ft wingspanjesus fuckthat must be a party trick and a half for a flying fox who wants to startle an unsuspecting crowd
>>15706191
>>15706233No shit. They quadruple in size by just opening they're wings. But with flaps like those, I can't help but be reminded of the Resident Evil merchant. He would open up a flap and there would be ammo and red herbs tapped along it's length.

>>15711165>>15711311Full disclosure: I had a PM discussion with the author, and it looks like he's pretty much fucking hates writing shit about whoring bunnies, and he's only doing it because he's financially in debt to this Soldier. He's the one who comes up with all these "Judy wants everybody's cock in her" scenarios, and Bluelighthouse tries to contain that shit as much as he can. that's the reason for the whole "L's Implications" story, he came up with a completely new bunny OC to outsource the whoring to, so that guy would be satisfied.

>>15712336Isn't L just about that new bunny only?
>>15712980Mostly, but the first chapter or two has her talk to Nick and Judy. At one point she's on the phone, and she hears someone knock on Judy's door; Judy goes to answer it, she hears the voice of someone who isn't Nick being really flirtatious, Judy gets blatantly horny and then hangs up because she "needs to go do something."
Well, looks like it's finally time to say goodbye. These past 2 years here have been fun ones but it's time for me to move on. I've been busy lately and with finals being my main focus, I haven't been to these threads in weeks. And in that time it seems that I've lost most of my interest in /ztg/. For a while I never imagined this day would come, but regardless I'm glad for the time I spent here. I'm thankful for all the artists, authors, streamers, and everyone else who made these threads so lively and enjoyable. And I'm sorry for never amounting to anything; I had wished to create for you guys too but I never managed to produce much of anything. >>15696642hey there /ztg/, NeoTT here!I know I told you to ADD YOUR THEME!so I won't ask again!but rather, I would like to ask somethingsince HighCow has decided to take a break from things, he posted that someone would be taking care of the TT pastebin, if said person is around, might I ask you to contact me here or in via tumblr?I'd rather confirm things rather than face loss of content in the long run!
>>15717502Sleep tight, bunner!
>>15717247>just finished playing for a buddy's 25th birthdayReally makes you think...
>>15717466I have been adding entries as I see them, and going over the old themes for anything High Cow missed.

>>15717505>Free choice: T-Shirt>Exhaustion>It was days like this that Nick started to feel his age.>He was about ready to pass out, but he wanted to do it something halfway soft, at least.>The fox shuffled through his apartment door like a zombie, bones and muscles aching, groaning through the final steps of his voyage towards the promise of rest.>He dropped his bag of goodies next to the couch, tossed the collection of free shirts he'd gotten onto the cushions, and flopped down on top of it all.>The last thing he felt before he drifted off into sweet oblivion was a rabbit quietly sidling up next to him and relaxing.
>>15717532I dunno if you've been grabbing the 5/5s or not, but I used to collect those for HC when he was doing it and send him an imgur album of the collection. If you'd like, I could keep doing that and send them to you.
>>15717435Glad to see more Jackbox fun happening again.I still have the shirt I ordered from one of the previous games.
>>15717532thank you anon!if you ever need to, remember you can contact me directly in the tumblr chat or the submit option in the menu!

>>15718113I still have mixed feelings about Roommates.I wanted to see more, but also felt that the writers were pretty sick of the franchise so it was for the best that it ended.
>>15718184I think 60 chapters and 315,000 words is probably more than enough. It's normal to want more because you're not ready to let go but it was well ready to end.
>>15718211Like... it explained a bit of the unanswered questions, but left too many open.Like Goldie's ghost.

HEY FOR REALS THIS TIMELink: https://archiveofourown.org/works/14622462Title: "Being a Six-Year-Old Is a Full Time Job"Synopsis: "Parents Betty and Remmy Cormo attend a major Pack Street event in a newly built mall complex. Like most things when raising a young cub, the experience feels one part frustrating, one part funny, one part informative, and all parts unpredictable. Yet they'll keep loving each other to pieces, even if every family event winds up going a certain way"Please take a look at this completed one-shot (yes, I know, I already posted it before in this thread, but that was an incomplete)! I really want to get feedback on this kind of PG-rated, slice-of-life stuff! And if the TTanon is here, please steer him to this as a TT submission!

>>15697958>>15718372>Controller>Resignation>The badger let out a little moan, as faint as a whisper, as he leaned back in his chair. He'd heard the line repeated countless times earlier that day. The convention's vendors had made sure of that. Still, that didn't change how much it heart.>"You've got to take things simply with my son," the tall deer had said. "You've got to go easy on my daughter," the fat skunk had said. They both were rolling in dough, working for the gaming companies, and the badger was merely a peon in the big scheme of things.>The badger felt himself calming down as he came in third in yet another lightcycle race. He had to do what he had to do to survive. He could take some snot-nosed punk who ought to lose badly to such a professional gamer wind up win. It didn't mean much in the end.>"Oh, good game," the badger remarked. He felt his paws getting sweaty on his controller. "Thanks.">He calmly but surely tossed the controller beneath his seat. It was over. Thank God.

>>15697958>>15718372>>15718455This violates the spirit and text of the "five minutes to five lines" rule, but in my defense I kept getting interrupted and frustrated by my cat.

>>15717614Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, I'll be capping those also. Rest easy soldier.
>>15718994Mangle Foxglove is written as ambiguously gendered in Roommates, so based on what you prefer, you could either interpret it as a straight Nick sleeping with a female Foxglove, or gay Nick with a male one.Or a straight Nick in a trap situation, if that's your thing. I'm not judging.
Ahh, that was a super fun stream!Have to put a delay for GTT-- I totally forgot that Sunday was Mother's Day. Please don't tell my mom. Even so, I will make sure that there's one sometime this week!Goodnight, magical and wonderful /ztp/ threads!
