Now I'm thinking the latter because Remmy takes things way too hard. When he feels like someone burned him, he always blows up, inside narration and out. He always assumes the worst out of people and holds resentment all the time.But his family is exempt from this line of thought.

He has dealt with prejudice his entire damn life. He had to claw his way through life, knowing that there were people who hated him simply for being born a wolf, and then was told that he wasn't supposed to love the person he did. Al would be a much different person had it not been for Velvet providing him the perspective that not every prey is bad and out to get him for being a wolf. But unfortunately, he still had to deal with prey who DID think like that.He is the Alpha, a respectable community leader who looks out for those in need because he knows what it's like to feel cornered. And yet in his professional life, he has to take shit from prey who are much smaller and weaker than him, treating him like a literal piece of machinery. And then, for a prey kid, who had recently called one of his own a bitch, revealed to the love of his life that he wasn't a land lord, and insulted him, to come out and say that he was sorry and that everything he did was uncalled for? Why, that must've been a pleasant surprise for him. An outsider admitting that he was wrong, and even baring his neck for him in a display of submission?That takes some major cajones. That takes CHARACTER. And Al decided not to be bitter about it and let bygones be bygones. He's a real stand up guy.
