Also Zootopia for her is a new and unknown city, I doubt she would say something about something happening literally as she came there. Maybe it could fit Nick a little better, but I will leave it out entirely/change with something else.You are a new to writing, so I want to give you this piece of advice, You, when you write, are two things. When you create the world and the situations the characters live in, are a demiurge. You need to create reasonable (given the setting and the characters) situations and environments. Then it is the turn of the characters to act. And you become the second face of the writer, the narrator. The narrator cannot act on the characters, they work together in the situation you created and you simply narrate. Your ideas and emotions should not influence and modify the character, they are what they are, autonomous existences with their own stories and ideas and personality. The worst example (in terms of being bad) I can think of not following these guidelines, is given by that infamous Borba's comic. Those things are not Judy and Nick anymore, merely puppets, some sort of hollow things. A suggestion for when you are in doubt if something is in character or not is to ask "Would [character] really do/think that?".[cont]
