In zootopia, flower shops are particularly hard to open because state officials can never decide if they need a food license or not.

In zootopia, lots of firefighters are elephants who can blow water on the fire with their trunks. Unfortunately, they need other smaller animals that can run into the building to save people.

Its Thematic Thursday!Bad Weather Edition!Who doesn't love a bit of rain? Well... this is way more than a bit. In fact, its pouring! Not only that, but I hear there's a blizzard in TundraTown, a heatwave in Savannah Central, a sandstorm in Sahara Square, a monsoon in the Rainforest District, a dust bowl in the Meadowlands, a solar flare in the Nocturnal District, and Outback Island is being engulfed by a swarm of venomous flying tarantuscorpipedes! Which is common for Outback Island actually...The weather outside may be frightful, but the threads are so delightful! There are quite a few shots in Tangled that really speaks to his eye as a director, while Wreck-It-Ralph did not amaze me in the slightest.
Hail to everyone at /ztg/, it's your friendly raccuweather forecaster Raccoonfg here!I see that we're expecting a flurry of fics and artwork today for Thematic Thursday, so make sure to dress appropriately. Now I am sorry to rain on everyone's parade, but my entry for today goes against the set theme as I started working on something before the polls closed and decided to stick with it.So right now I'm going to have to warn you that the theme of Horror is going to be blowing in this region for now and I hope my little deviation doesn't cloud your judgement.>Ashes, by Raccoonfghttp://archiveofourown.org/works/11269308>When the fire died out, all that remained were the ashes of their mistakes. And as always, anyone, including Comic ( >>10049694 ) and his lewdnado, is welcome to give it a blind read.

>AU during the 1800's.>Judy leaves her family to strike out and try and find her path in life. She doesn't know WHAT she can do, but she wants to find it>She stops in a lesser town before reaching Zootopia. A far larger city.>She is drawn to a manor by something she can't explain and ends up buying it, feeling that it's "right" to do it.>The place had been abandoned for nearly 200 years and thought to be haunted. She doesn't believe it>But she starts having visions of other people alive in the manor within her dreams. >She looks to be haunted by something within the manor, but isn't directly harming her, really it almost looks to be helping her. >Hints that Nick is the ghost, and romance would happen between them. (Judy has yet to know that a ghost is even there, but the tags and description hints at it greatly.)>Everything has been set up for something that looks to be rather unique and interesting with a focus on Judy and the ghost itself.>Only for Trisha to show up.What the fuck? I mean seriously. What is with some author's that love using other OC's and not just focusing on what one wanted to read at the start? I mean it's only been a single chapter as of right now with her in it. But you can already tell she is here to stay.I mean I enjoy the author's works. (For the most part) But this is just unneeded.
>>10050143>Oh yeah, I remember that, the maned wolf was a leggy, svelte model, wasn't she? That's inky's.I think I misremembered, I remembered a pair of friends who one was a Maned Wolf, but turned out that Middry's wasn't that pair, it isn't even a wolf. Whoops.
>>10050323>Trishai mean, i kinda like her, i guess; link pls?
>>10050323I'm not sure, I like using other OCs because I find it easier to expand a character when I'm taking an interpretation and working with it.>what one wanted to read at the start? Was there no OC tag? From your description it sounds like the fic gave signals that it was Nick but it's kinda hard to guess, maybe there isn't only one ghost?I'm just sure the author is happy she's been portrayed as a ghost, at least that way people can't "misunderstand her character" and write her as someone who sleeps around a lot.
>>10050187Wow. Just...wow. I am not sure what else to put here, but you hit horror pretty well, both physically and mentally. I admit I was expecting a slightly different ending but the acceptance works too.

>>10050566i wouldn't have to use my phone if i had powerpls no bullyabloo abloo
>>10050414Not that anon, but here Trisha in the story isn't a ghost. It is still implied that the ghost is Nick, just Trisha shows up as, yet again, a bar waitress who is fascinated with Judy, only this time for being "the doe who bought the haunted mansion". Personally, I don't mind Trisha being used by this specific author, because she is just a bubbly, somewhat flirty girl and that is it. He doesn't write her like the original author of Trisha did, who had her move on from Judy to a canine male pretty quickly, and even fooled around a little with Judy in between. And that was in the main story, not the side story where he deleted the smut chapters that were stated to have no connection.I do understand >>10050323 though; it really is unneeded. It kind of feels awkward at the moment, though hopefully the OC just remains "there" and not the focus.
>>10050440Thanks anon, glad you enjoyed it.
>>10050187Christ, RF I was waiting for a punchline or something but all I received was spooks. The flow is really quite smooth and you do horror very well. Good sub trashpanda
>>10050353https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12512497/1/A-Ghostly-LoveShe shows up in chapter 4.>>10050414Oops, I should have made that more clear. Trisha was a resident of the town that Judy needed up meeting within chapter 4. Not the ghost. The tags have the [Bracket's] with Judy and Nicks name. Also Finnick (Who's the landskeeper of the mansion.)As >>10050601 says. But one of the FIRST thing's that Judy does it spend a bit of time staring at Trisha's breasts. Like really. When I shared my disbelief and suggested the author add the OC tag, in a review. The author deleted my comment, so rip. Then again, I did also say I was jumping ship since I didn't care about Trisha. So I guess they didn't like that.
So recently I saw a lot of discussions about Velvet, her fertility, antlers, etc.I found this article that sheds some light on things.http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/thunder-bay/thunder-bay-antlered-doe-1.3731228
>>10050601Ah, right. I was thinking she was literally the focus of the fic. Doesn't seem so bad, it's just like people putting "By Karma/Serendipity!" and other stuff. OCs references are nice once in a while, though this is Zootopia fandom so I could see it turning bad real quick. From what you guys described (I ain't reading that.) she seems to have some relevance on the story, Judy comment may be just a nod to the her original story and left at that.Or it can turn into ghost possession double rape threeway with immaculate conception abortion in the 19th century.>>10050702Yeah, well, you kinda made it clear you had a distaste for Trisha, and the author is probably friends with the original author, so obviously he wouldn't like you disliking her.
>>10050700>I was waiting for a punchline or something but all I received was spooks.I had considered doing something really short and silly as a sort of "palate cleanser" bonus fic, but this one took up so much of my time trying to get it right that I never got around to it.I'll probably make my next piece more lighthearted so people don't start worrying about me.>The flow is really quite smooth and you do horror very well.Really glad to know. It's a tricky thing with this kind of genre, because you want it to be a slow burn at the start so the reader gets into the mood, but when you heighten the action you start to worry if it's getting too rushed, so you have to use your instincts and hope you reach a balance.

>>10050702>But one of the FIRST thing's that Judy does it spend a bit of time staring at Trisha's breasts. Like really. That was my reaction too; I get it, she is suppose to be busty. Just state that and move on; with Judy staring, it gvies her the "mary sue" vibe of the girl that has everyone attracted to her.>>10050790>Or it can turn into ghost possession double rape threeway with immaculate conception abortion in the 19th century.Nah, Judy and Trisha will be into fucking the ghost fox, who probably doesn't need to physically recharge. On a serious note, the author for this ghost story is full on WildeHopps, with his main fic being Judy basically attached to Nick for the rest of her life, Nick "mated for life" to her and neither being attracted to anyone else. So I doubt Trisha will be anything like her 'original' self.

>>10052195Bucky and Pronk tied up and Nick and Judy fucking them in the butt (Judy with a strap on)
Hey /ZTG/ quick question.Human infants are the most helpless creatures on earth. They are born utterly unable to do anything, beside lying and crying.Every other mammals species, while the cub/kit etc might not be lively as a newborn ungalate, standing around and followng it's mom in less than a day, they are at least capable to crawl towards their moms and look for a nipple. But why are humans so weak. So articles I've read, connected this issue to the intelligence. Because human brain is more complex it's development needs more time than the rest of the body. The neurological and cognitive development finishes only months after the actual birth because of that, and reaches that of a chimpazee newborn only 10 months after birth. While I like the idea of having zoot newborns more active like their real life couterparts, their itelligent would suggest that they also need this 10 month plus phase after birth before they start to actually move around. What do you think. Zoot babies are born helpess lump crying machines or little crawling nipple homing rockets?

>>10052855I thought it sarcastic since you were trying to level a real world comparison to predators to real wold minorities.Blacks, asians, etc. don't have to wear torture collars 24/7 for the rest of their lives following their 10th birthday.Preds would have no incentive to want to move to Zootopia, unless either the city keeps the collars a massive secret or EVERYPLACE else also has a collar program. I know money makes the world go round, but would you willing move to a place that makes your children get tortured if it's the former? And, to leave it on one more note, how would the predators even get the collars on in the first place when they were first introduced? Did they all agree to it? Did they have to be rounded up and forcibly collared? Because when the writing is on the wall like that, it's hard to imagine ANY preds would still stick around no matter what debts or other socio-economic reason.

>>10053143Raccoons?
>>10053029They obviously didn't had the collars from the beginning. Preds probably lived there before any technology for it existed.Someone later invented the concept for the need of them probably by speading fear similiar to what Bellwether did. I mean, it's pretty obvious that if Judy did not stop bellwether her plans would have involved opressing the predators in a way, to give the city a sense of security for a non-existant danger. Maybe they didn't knew how bad it was at first. They tought it really goes only off by extreme anger, and some might've feared that they really could go savage (for example: Anneke from Pack Street questions whenever it could happen to her, and what it would be like)The story was and stayed about "using fear to manipulate the masses". Only the timeline and the outcome of the plan changed.
>>10053029>>10053180 (YOU)cont:I actually had an idea for an AU where Judy and Nick are both born a generation later, Zootopia is ruined by bellwether, and predators are collared... But NW made zistopia and practically that's it...my idea doesn't add much new to the concept.

>>10053180I appreciate the level response. But my point is that my questions and your answers were never really going to be addressed by the prototype movie. All it said was, "Zootopia was the first place that predators & prey could live together during primitive times" and that some time down the line, collars were made. And this was the point that I was trying to make: the original pitch raised too many questions than it was capable, or at least interested, in answering. Or at least answering satisfactorily.>>10053244Run with that AU idea. So long as you don't get your head up your own ass like NW did, then you will have a better headstart than she did.
>>10053244Could always mish mash concepts: Judy's not a cop, but a call center bunny, pretty sure that was her in early spy concepts. Nick could still be a hustler, though less of someone with a dream like Concept Nick and more for himself kind of deal. Though now I'm trying to fit Skye and Jack Savage in there in my head, and I'm horrible with love triangles and drama. Maybe sticking with Honey, Finnick and Clawhauser is a better option.

Hi everyone! It's MichaelXX2. I'm here with another song for TT! This one is called "A Night in Tundratown:"https://soundcloud.com/michaelxx22/a-night-in-tundratownA snowstorm has blown through Zootopia, and the frozen Tundratown is hit the hardest. Judy watches from the safety of her apartment, wrapped in Nick's arms.
>>10053456very nice, michael.
>>10053496Clothes are a little too revealing, that bun really needs a pred to bunish her...>>10049694You too, standing naked out in the rain... you'll catch your death of lewd.
>>10053427>>10053415>Nick and Judy should NOT be looked at as normal interracial/heterosexual relationship, it should be more compared to pansexual / homosexual attraction. This itself is not a bad opinion, I kinda agree with it, but many consider it that she pushed this messege too hard with the lesbian character, trying to draw paralell with her attraction to females and Nick berating the idea of him being attracted to a rabbit.
>>10053415>>10053427He got too big for his birtches; started saying protozoot would have been a better movie, started authoritatively saying Judy and Nick were pansexual, called Zoot an iphone commercial.Basically general disdain for anything zootopia that was NOT related to his idea of Zistopia and Protozoot. He turned into a grade-A cunt.
>>10053474I can't believe the director of Robin Hood is suing Zootopia!
>>10053456hi michael :v
>>10053456This is comfyThe end felt pretty hard but the first half was soothing
>>10053574That was only a small part. The bigger part was that the plot was going nowhere. Every turn just added more to the setting, but the characters didn't have any goals. What was Nick trying to do? What was Judy trying to do beyond find out more about Nick? The eweminatti was doing something, but it wasn't related to the heros. Second, it suffered because it tried to have it's theme and its character too. NW wanted both Nick and Judy to be woefully oppressed. Nick because he's a predator and Judy because of some "bunny tax". Which subverted the split between predator and prey. If both are oppressed, theres less of a difference in their perspectives. Finally the idea that the city itself is immersed in this oppresive ideology is undermined because we learn that literally everything is organized by the eweminatti. it's not because the people in the city are flawed.

Hi all,I have something to share with you; something sad.In August I completed the writing for a visual novel of some 20k words. It's a Canidae sim, essentially. It includes dateable characters and multiple endings, both good and bad. The writing and programming are finished. Unfortunately, the art has been a struggle. I ended up not being able to rely on some contributors and amicably parted ways. The work finally fell to my wife, who perhaps should have been doing it from the start.Due to recent events, that won't be happening, and the project is essentially dead.Since that's the case, I don't see why I need to hide it, so I'll share with you a sketch roster of most (it's missing some villains) of the characters.I'm sorry it has to be like this. While I'm here, Hyenahurst is also on hiatus. I did, however, move it all to a03. You can find it here: http://archiveofourown.org/works/10469556/chapters/23101572

>>10053735It is technically heterosexual, yes, they are male and female. The debate is that those distinctions don't matter when the species in question are so different from each other. A fox knows what is attractive in their species, male or female, but they probably don't know what is attractive in, say, a rabbit. Any attraction on the fox's part is personal preference, and vise versa for the rabbit. Of course, you could still reason that Nick could think of Judy as female, it just wouldn't be his normal distinction of female... oh god that sounds like some tumblr shit.

Yeah I get it he/she died, abloo abloo king of feels. The reason I enjoyed them in the movie was the interaction of them, not Judy not Nick, not the rich exchanges from Nick and Finnick, not the Shakesperian interactions of Judy and Fru Fru, not the page turning dialogue of Judy and her parents or enlightening interactions of Clawhauser and Bogo. You kill off Judy or Nick, or keep them apart 90% of the story, you better have amazing writing skills to make something else as interesting as it. Given, a lot of times fanfics make the interactions a bit dull, but it is still more interesting than what people do with most other characters.

>>10054516Maintaining consistency is the crux of all this. I had worked with two in-community artists who initially agreed (and were paid, not in full) but eventually could not keep up their end of the obligation. I love both of them still. It's just a lot. Here's the structure of the story (I wrote it in twine and then transferred it to a VN program). It's actually bigger than this because of another character/plotline/endings added since then.

>>10054971Oh, those aren't in a single fic. Fucking hell, that would be an abomination. Just tropes over a lot of fics that pop up. I especially hate the Judy/Jack thing; you can be physically attracted to someone, but I think there is an issue if your thoughts keep going back to them while you are in a relationship with someone else. And it annoys the fuck out of me when someone portrays Judy like that.>>10055001Err, more of the later than the former. Keeping secrets like "Oh, I dealt with this drug lord in the past" is something he probably wouldn't speak up about, but he would try to inform Judy that the secret itself involves something illegal and hope she understands. Anything that isn't illegal is most likely fair game, and Nick seems like someone who would tell Judy if he disagrees with her on something.

All so they can convince Nick to join the big bad organization after the betrayal.>Like at this point you HAVE to be writing this to portray Judy in a bad light, it's not about romance anymore.I want to believe that, but part of me is scared that these people feel that those are a honest portrayal of romance and good story telling.
>>10050187This is a wonderful thing to wake up to.
>>10055639,
Hi everyone. Wrote a snowy weather piece for TT, featuring Jack and Skye going mountaineering and getting into trouble, which you can find here. https://archiveofourown.org/works/11276106Kind of rushed it out, so I hope it turned out okay.

>>10055639>>10055719Not really a greentext and kind of scattered, but the first half always makes me happy.
>>10055789how would you know, someone has to take care of the river flow in tundratown
>>10055672>I want to believe that, but part of me is scared that these people feel that those are a honest portrayal of romance and good story telling. The problem is that there is barely even romance, there is more romance in the movie and there they didn't even act like a couple.
>>10055741I'm going to hell, but at least I'll have company.

>Nick has a big dick>Judy is a fucking size queen>Nick is scared of hurting Judy, so he tries to fight his urges to pounce>Judy is scared of pushing Nick away by being too open about her kinks, and fights her urges to bounce>The magical freindship lubricant Alcohol is involved>They pounce and bounce, hard>Nick finds out Judy's a size queen and although it's a tight squeeze before the knot, he knots her>Screaming bunny sounds>Moaning fox sounds>The bed won't stop slamming against the wall, and Bucky and Pronk decide 'fuck it' and fuck to ther neighbors fucking>The next morning Judy's phone explodes with text messages, and she finds out from one of her sisters that she and Nick posted their sexcapades on EwePorn>Stu threatens to come down to the city with a truck full of his brothers to drag Nick back to the burrows for a shotgun wedding, to save his daughter's dignity>Bonnie just gives Judy a thousand yard stare through the phone>Cotton was there, too>She was in the corner of Judy's bed, among her stuffed bunnies, watching the whole thing>She's been living in Judy's apartment for weeks>Neither Nick nor Judy realize anything is amiss>What the fuck, Cotton
>>10053669just got back from a movie so this is late but--the original question was not "what's bad about zis" it was "what happened that would make it fair to say NW had her head up her ass"if you want me to say something bad about Zis, well...the writing took sharp dive once the saturday morning legion of doom-style villains were introduced, so there's that.

>>10055695Pretty nice actuallyI appreciate when the found footage kind of format is used and isn't bad, and this isn't bad. You did a good job with all the characters, Skye's voice especially is very nice and playful. Good end

>>10056548And now the tweest. That's not a fic, it's a transcript from a weird fiction podcast! I just added a few lines to relate it to Zootopia. Here's the official version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAPLuC6hHsEThe actual title is A Memory of Europe, by Joseph Fink.
Hey Zoopals, Fanart here!Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while! I was coordinating and planning a very stressful and very expensive move plus work has been a bitch for the past 2 months so I hardly had anytime to draw anything until recently when Nera commissioned me. Enjoy!
>>10056653>Dinishfang it!ahah thanks!
>>10056716NICE

>>10054475Heya buddy! Would you like to submit your greentext and others to Greentext Theater? I could use caps if so!>>10055283I don't like this. Would you like a read through?>>10056576I can't wait to see it tomorrow then! Its looking great so far!>>10056716I saw this earlier, but I have to say it now-- its wonderful! I love that you found someone you can share your love of 80's retro scifi with!>>10056654You got me so good with this! It was a ton of fun, and I had a blast doing it!You'll have to tell me what you think, too!>>10056765Don't lose hope, buddy! We're all here for you!
>>10055361I actually was thinking of doing an art adaptation of a shit fic to get a lot of attentionthough id have to butter up the author for it since id try to be as graphic and dramatic as possible
>>10056716Great piece, Fanart. You sure to do love your 80's colors.
>>10054736>>10054744>>10054760>>10054776>>10054789Oops, came in late. That was really cute.
>>10056716Hi Fanart! It's cool: hope you're settled in. Have def missed your purple and pink.
>>10056755This is beautiful, but the feet creep me out
>>10057059Nick looks like he has webbed feet
>>10055755Thanks. Hope you like. >>10056536And thank you! The format definitely feels a bit limiting when it's the-camera-has-to-be-on and the characters don't have a reason to be recording everything they're doing. I'll probably try again with something else at some point. >>10056826Hi. If you don't have other stuff in the pipeline, sure!
Feeling a bit serious and pensive today /ztg/ - Not sure why
Page 10 yall>>10057229>>10057229>>10057229
>>10056826>You got me so good with this! It was a ton of fun, and I had a blast doing it!I'm glad you liked it! I thought it would be funny to take a script already designed to make a place look weird but inviting, then make it about this weird but inviting place. And some of that stuff matched up pretty well with your character in the threads.>You'll have to tell me what you think, too!I thought it was hilarious! You sounded really similar to the actual readthrough at a lot of points, particularly the traffic segment, the Snarlbucks ad, and the last few paragraphs. In some ways I think you were actually better, though. You emphasized the crazy parts of the writing in really funny ways, while the actual podcast is more meh about them. Which is the point, but still. Thank you for reading it!If you liked that kind of absurd comedic writing, listen to a few episodes of Night Vale! That was one of the least crazy episodes, all things considered.
