Zootopia Thread? Zootopia Thread.
>>84324251man, is Dreaming of Utopia still on the grumpy gimp rabbit arc?
>>84324251Fuck that. Lets have a Dreaming of Utopia thread.
>>84324299Yes.>>84324366I am also fine with this.
>>84324366Here here, did they reveal what all those secret Illuminati was all about?
Back in my day, trolling was an art form.
>>84324735Go to bed, grandpa. You're drunk.
I still can't tell if the person behind this honestly thinks that the furries are good people or if he's trolling, because a lot of the fucking decisions that are made in this comic are really stupid.
>>84324777Nice trips. The council might be up to something, but god knows when we might ever get around to whatever that is. The furries are mostly just naive and innocent (which I feel is the most unrealistic aspect of the comic but whatever) and I think the overall message is about how what is essentially a goofy-but-harmless fictional minority group gets shit on by society because intolerance is bad.The best parts are the detective parts.
>>84324847They're a fucking cult though. They're indoctrinated into this lifestyle from birth and by the time they're adults they don't realize how weird it is to live your life in a dead eyed animal costume since they've been living in a closed off hugbox of a community that constantly reinforces the notion that this isn't something only crazy out of touch people would do.
>>84325037Technically that applies to almost any social norm, just their social norm is intentionally picked by the author to be strange to us. While I would personally say that a religion based on identifying outside your own species to the point of seeing a mask as your real face is potentially harmful we put up with a lot of arguably more harmful psychological ramifications of other established religious beliefs. Unless you are a hardcore athiest you really can't say anything about Utopian furries that doesn't apply to other religions that are accepted, at least to some degree.I'm not saying I agree with their goofy-ass religion. I'm saying that allowing them to practice it in peace and without discrimination is what the ideals and laws of the country they live in promise them, and the comic is all about how that promise is never kept. That they are vegetarian-pacifist-fursuiters is just to make it an extreme and interesting scenario while not risking pissing off a real minority by portraying them incorrectly.Really the worst thing a Utopian furry deserves is somebody explaining to them why their religion is bullshit if they choose to listen. That's it. That's anyone with any stupid belief deserves, so long as that belief is ultimately harmless or at least harms nobody but them.
(ewe) time
>What can a furry do?How about taking off your goddamn fursuit?
>>84325437works for that detective mostly
>>84324777He's definitely trolling. It was more entertaining when that was up in the air, but all of his cheeky references seem to make it clear that he's just making an elaborate joke.
>>84325437What fresh hell is this comic.
>>84325478I think, in a weird way, he's doing both. The references so far have been to 4chan and Something Awful among the gang-members (through their brands of jeans) and by making clear parallels to other webcomic authors among the sex-perverts wanking in the porn theatre. I do think he intentionally draws the comic in such a way that people will read it either because they care about the Utopian Furries or because they just want to see the shit get kicked out of them, which happens a lot and graphically.
>>84325510It's a serious crime drama story about a group of minorities discriminated in society. The group in question are pacificist who see dressing up as animals as a way to be more at one with nature and are not actually based on real life furries apart from roughly the costumes they wear. It's played out completely straight and is actually very well done.
>>84325936funny guy.
This is supposed to be somebody real but I don't know who.
>>84326346Fucking Christ, that looks miserably painful.
>>84326410oh trust me, Zootopia was going to be a rollercoaster of feelings.

>>84326348Looks like dobson
>>84327095Wouldn't dobson have a balloon joke instead?
>>84327153Maybe it was a reference to him being a greasy fuck who appropriated a furry persona? The comic has him robbing furries of their faces at knifepoint.
>>84327095No, it's supposed to be the guy who does that Goblins comic. Hence the I'M SAD!>>84327153Dobson is here, and there is an inflation joke. Check the posters.
>>84324366Why do DoU threads get nuked?

I wish the theatre scene had Tatsuya Ishida getting off to femdom, castration, or cuck porn. It seems like a lost opportunity.
