Do you think Disney will do jack shit with this franchise? It seems ripe for the picking but I'm not seeing much merchandise anywhere.
>>81628793Do you mean Zootropolis?
>>81628793Hope to god there isn't a sequel.Frozen was bad enough. We don't need this cancerous furshit to spread even more.
>>81628816In some circles, yes I do.>>81628855But you're okay for with a shitty mindless musical world like Frozen huh?
>>81628793i want to fuck the rabbit. i hope in the sequeal she gets FOXED so raw that her ears turn into lops after cumming so many times
>>81628793Duh, cute talking animals tend to sell well with children, there are rumors of a Zootopia theme in the works for Disney parks, and how could you not know of the merch anon? A simple search with any search engine will yield tons of official merch.
>>81629211I got a Disney store in my mall that i check every few days and I've yet to see that store change their merchandise even once.
Posting more progress.I think the practice is paying off and as soon as i flood this sketchbook page with Judy I'm going to start with Nick, then general Zootopia populace and hopefully start a small comic with decent consistent Zootopia art.
>>81629292You ever try talking to them about shipment dates? Wouldn't they have a website where information is posted?
>>81629211>A simple search with any search engine will yield tons of official merch. But will you be able to buy Zootopia cereal three years from now? Oh, right. There isn't Zootopia cereal. But this shit is still on grocery store shelves. There's nowhere near the merch push for this movie.
>>81629430>But will you be able to buy Zootopia cereal three years from now? Oh, right. There isn't Zootopia cereal.Yeah there is. Maybe not in your country.

>>81628793Not until they have finished milking frozen for every last drop that can be squeezed out of it.
>>81629430Heck, the brand of canned corn I buy has Frozen advertisement on it.
>>81628816NO, HE MEANT ZOOMANIA.
>>81629430I just bought a box of fucking fruit snacks shaped like Zootopia Characters. They were Kellogg's brand, so Disney definitely has some Zootopia connections getting made in the food industry.
>>81629462>Yeah there is.Then Google doesn't' know about it. All it shows are fruit flavored snacks.
>>81629607>>81629645That's them. They're pretty fucking good.
>>81629526 i saw this recently.
>>81629607Literally every cartoon get fruit flavored snacks.
>>81629645>No picture of the contents on the boxIt's shopped
>>81629430>>81629526To be fair, I can live without this kind of merch. On the otherhand, if the "Zootopia Promotional Cereal" was Lucky Chomps like from the movie, that might be amusing. In general, I'm sort of a fan for the more understated methods of merch that could blend in with stuff from the setting. Like one person wanting the Zootpia Mayor's pin. They never released bags of ice labeled "Kristoff Borjman's Fresh Cut Ice" or stuff like that.>>81629520Sooo... basically NEVER because Frozen's getting a sequel and there's gonna be a billion more merch opportunities.Welp, I wonder if we'll get BATTLE ARMOR ELSA!(tm)?
The only Zootopia merchandise I'd buy would be Gideon's pies.
>>81629507Yeah her upper body could be slimmer, I'll keep an eye out for that next time.
I find it funny how Zootopia ended up being more succesful in China than KF3

Alright, let's just assume they get together at some point. The question is what animal will the child they adopt be?
>>81629645Does this mean I get to.....eat Judy?
>>81629855>Nick and Judy>adopting>not having their own kidsAnon please
>>81629645bah, how sad.>No Lucky Chomps cereal that has the 'special' advertisement featuring Judy sort like a celebrity Wheaties box>No produce that reads 'Fresh from Hopps Family Farms'>No Pies labeled->>81629787yeah what that guy said. But maybe I'm a shitty merchandising exec and don't think clearly of the children and instead think too much on having these little things contain gags for older audiences so when they read it they'd find little disclaimers like: "These specific Hopps Family Farm carrots are grown on a subsidiary farm and any damages cannot be attributed to Hopps Family Farm"
>>81628900Did you even read their post?
>>81629843Yeah, seriously, it's not even out on DVD/Blu-ray yet. How am I supposed to smuggle THAT into the movie theater?
>>81629855>Adoption instead of procreationIt's like you don't even want cute Fox/Bunny hybrids.
>>81629804>In the animal city of Zootopia, a fast-talking fox who's trying to make it big goes on the run when he's framed for a crime he didn't commit. Hey, /co/.I wanna hear a joke.
>>81629843Well Bellwether did try to frame him for killing Judy with the nighthowler.
>>81629804I've noticed that every description of the plot on merchandise at stores has the old plot. Weird.
>>81629961Okay, how do you get 30 cubans to fit into a cardboard box?
>>81629814i think people expected chicken little 2.0.. instead we got a masterpiece that throws neutered Panda into abyss.
>>81629520>Disney>not wanting to make tons of moneyliterally watThey still sell the Princess line of products for just about anything you can imagine. If they're holding back on merchandise it's so they can make sure they're fully stocked in order to meet demand, not because they're waiting for other franchises to be done.Disney doesn't give a shit if you buy the Elsa doll or the Judy doll. If it sells both and gets money it's happy as a singing clam.
>>81629855>ImplyingJudy wants babies. Lots of them. It's in her biology
>>81629992Huh, they must have been planning on the merchandise tie in before they changed the plot.
>>81629917>Lucky Chompsyou know, considering 'chomper' was a racial epithet for predators in earlier drafts it occurs to me now that lucky chomps is a pretty racist product
>>81629782They did sell carrots labeled as Olaf's nose at their parks, though.
>>81628793Try going to an actual toy store? My local Toys R Us has half a damn aisle full of nothing but Zootopia stuff. Plushes, figurines, Infinity stuff, books, kids' clothing, etcIn terms of sequels and such...bruh, we've made over 800 million worldwide so far. Zootopia is currently the #2 highest grossing Disney movie in the past 15 years or so. They'd be fucktarded not to make sequels and TV series and such.As a comparison, Lilo and Stitch only made 275 million worldwide, and still got 2 sequel movies, a TV series with 65 episodes, and an anime series in Japan.
I want them together but this shit just ain't happenin in canon, man. I need it.
>>81628793I want a sequel that shows a location populated with humanoid insects. Would be interesting to see Nick and Judy get involved with insect mafia

>>81629938There are plenty of items with Elsa's old model on it, too.I think that's one of the reasons Disney might hold back on merchandise: getting it all right, for once. It probably takes a while to get everything up to code if they're ordering and developing it at different stages.
>>81630136Tell them it floats!
>>81630119Smellwether, stop shitposting on 4chan and get back to work.
>>81628793I can see some escalating along the same lines as Cars. Since it introduced a setting pretty heavily like this film. Tales from the city, or some kind of shorts with each one taking place in a different section of town might happen. They went a long way in telling us about different parts of the city that never once appeared in the film. And the developers talked about how they really did make all the parts of it and did not rely on flat backdrops.
>>81630167Need a translation, now.
>>81630123OR... they thought it wont be such huge hit and they decided not to order any new merch
>>81628793I'm guessing a TV show? All the characters are also easily 2D animated. I wonder if this is a TV show they could have on a streaming service? A TV show will happen sooner than a movie. Maybe the sequel will be more about Nick since he didn't work as the main character in the first filmWith the coming success of the Jungle Book and its talking animals I think Disney might be smart to just license Lackadaisy and make that a thing.
>>81630129Various plushies/figurines at stores like target and walmart. It's literally the same paragraph verbatim. But I think they changed it to a generic one now.http://www.walmart.com/ip/Zootopia-Nick-Wilde-Large-Plush/49262180This one used to say the same thing as the kellogg snack description lol.
Disney dropped the ball hard with ZootopiaThe highest grossing movie of 2016 so far, poised to stop at around 900 million in the box office, and they thought it was gonna be their fucking B Movie this yearAlso, does anyone know what the fuck Moana is? For a November release it sure isn't getting much news
>>81630254A 3D show would probably be cheaper to make, seeing as they already have all of the assets and environments created and laid out. Those tend to be the bulk of the cost and development time, with 3D animation.
>>81630241That's another possibility. It makes much more sense to wait than it is to buy up all this merchandise and not be able to do anything with it while the money trickles down the drain. But I'm willing to bet that there's a sort of baseline merch level that they shoot for and it takes time to reach it.
>>81630292It did the same with the Lion King and Pocahontas.
>>81630294the render would not be as good though? No?
>>81630036Assuming it was even possible for them to crossbreed, Judy and Nick's children would be short and pale with big ears, just like Fennec.
>>81630241I seriously think Disney got caught flat-footed by Zootopia's success. I'm betting they thought this thing would make about $300 million and fade.
>>81630292>Disney dropped the ball hard with ZootopiaThey're not soothsayers, anon. They can't see the future.
>>81630254If we get a TV show, and it's not gonna be CG, then it better not be some CalArts faggotry. I'm having difficulty thinking of a 2d animation style that could do this justice.
>>81630344Classic Disney, not understanding no one cares about natives

>>81630287Wow, Judy looks less than pleased that we're intruding on their date.
Junko Takeuchi voices Naruto and will voice Dawn Bellwether in the Japanese dub of Zootopia.Believe it
>>81630349Not every allele blends. There are dominant and recessive genes that would take dominance.
>>81630345I'm not sure. With Disney's deep pockets, they could easily afford some nice looking 3D for a TV series, but I've never seen a TV series that looked anywhere near as good as the movie that it's based on.Kung Fu Panda's TV series looks like dogshit compared to the movies, but that was mostly because of Nickelodeon IIRC. It got a little better in the 2nd and 3rd seasons, but still miles behind the movie's animation quality. Both in model quality and actual animation quality.
>>81630400And Bogo is voiced by Scar.
>>81630344The Lion King was not suppose to be what it became in terms of success. It did get a video game though that was fucking hard, a Broadway play, 2 sequels and 2 spin off TV series
>>81630292>Also, does anyone know what the fuck Moana is?Literally all I know about it is that it's some sort of islander princess movie. When should trailers for it be coming out?

Wonder if we'll ever see one of this series on the big screen or something.
>>81630369No, it would be like what we see in the ArtBooks
>>81630414Realistically, Judy is a herbivore, and Nick is an omnivore, so even if it were possible for two species with a different chromosome count to cross, their children would have trouble digesting their food.

>>81630474>that pbs cartoonHoly fucking flashback batman, they had a thanksgiving marathon of that when I was like seven and it was rad.Fuck I read so many of those books.
>>81630452I really hope it doesn't turn out like that because I'm excited for an island adventure that delves into mythological elements.
>>81630533Yeah come to think of it, the length of them would be too long for movies probably, unless they do some really condensed adaptations.
>>81630496They could genetically engineer their kids. we live in the day of CRISPR
>>81630450I'd assume teasers would be out around late april to early may but who knows lol. Zootopia's teaser came out around early/mid summer no? So that was around >7months since the movies' release.
>>81630496The predators only eat bug meal anyway.
>>81630435All of which were cheap afterthoughts meant to both cash in on its success and placate fans wanting more. Disney has never committed to a full sequel with the intention of it being their main (or even B) movie of the year. Both DreamWorks and Pixar have proven how successful fully committed sequels can be, and yet Disney seems to be adamantly opposed to the concept on principal.
>>81630119>afraid of a bunny rabbitWell, getting hit by a solid batton would be unpleasant still so..

Oh, and Hercules is there, except he's not Hercules, he's Dwayne Johnson.>>81630581Rogue One's teaser is out and that comes out a month later than Moana.
>>81630538The creature would probably have a completely screwed up digestive track. The general layout of where things are would be grotesque. Rabbits process things until there is nothing left but a pellet. Foxes leave acidic rich smelly poop.
>>81630586Well they have Lasseter pretty much overseeing both PIXAR and WDAS now so you never know.
>>81630588Guess you don't see that shock collar on him.He tries to fight back then he gets zapped.
>>81630292Moana is just another boring bland generic Disney princess movie with a fatter browner princess to appeal to the tumblr crowd. The animation looks like shit compared to Zootopia as well.

>>81630631>Rogue One's teaser is out and that comes out a month later than Moana.Welp, I guess they're expecting Moana to under perform the movie that they thought would under perform LOL. Maybe it's because they're focusing on The Jungle Book and Rouge One right now?
>>81630631>a month later than Moana. Is disney going to give us a new star wars movie every christmas now?
>>81630627Was Down Under even intended to surpass the original, or was it a "sequel that accidentally performed better than the original"? I guess if it aired in theaters first it could be considered a main Disney movie.
>>81630738Will we get a Star Wars film using the characters of Zootopia?
>>81630578That was kind of a mindfuck, but that was very cool.
>>81630631Star Wars is a bigger franchise than Disney princess movies.
>>81630674>The animation looks like shit compared to Zootopia as well.Which is surprising because it's supposed to have used a newer version of the rendering software that was used on Zootopia IIRC.
>>81630611I doubt the lion would kill or hurt Judy. He would get himself into prison if he does kill Judy, even hurting a police officer might warant you some jail time too and I doubt the other larger mammals in the precint would hesitate in hurting him too if the Lion does use force.>>81630673A sudden yet powerful jolt of electricity does hurt but it wont leave bruises you know.
>>81630588That's a whip cane. They hurt a lot, and he's got a collar. Add in the innate resistance to actually go against the state out of fear of reprisal, and the occasional loyalist breaking ranks to join with the oppressors, and that's how you have a functioning police state. It all runs on fear.
>>81630779I would totally watch that lmao.
>>81630779It will be a short parody film lasting a few minutes.
>>81630777They made it to make money and assumed people would see it cause they liked the first. They certainly hoped it would do better
>>81630762I believe that's the plan, yeah. Christmas 2017 is supposed to be the Bobba Fett movie. I'm looking forward to that one since there's no way they make a movie about Fett chasing a bounty that doesn't show off the other bounty hunters in Star Wars.
>>81630687Doubt it. Disney is never going to abandon their family friendly approach (not that they should), and a decent amount of families would avoid a PG-13 movie. Hell, my parents were concerned about me watching PG-13 films and playing T-rated games when I actually was 13, much less younger than that.
>>81630843I'd enjoy that
>>81630821Uhhmmm.. Did you get hit by one in the past anon-chan?
>>81629430I need some fucking Zootopia water.
>>81630929Well yeah you know they'd make it to be fantastic. But there would not be a full feature length film.
>>81630952Sounds like it'd taste like animal piss
>>81629526We know a remote farm in Lincolnshire...
>>81630801That's because the creative team behind Zootopia knows what love is and loved what they were making. No one gives a fuck about Princess Movie #23

They'll do stuff with it in a Frozen sense. Sequel? Probably yeeeears from now. A short tied to the beginning of a movie that sucks? Very probably. Obnoxious amounts of merchandise? Oh yeah.

>>81630853>The Rescuers Down Under was the first animated theatrical film sequel produced by Disney; along with Fantasia 2000, and Winnie the Pooh, it is one of the few sequels that are part of the Disney animated features canon.Sadly, all 3 of those were box office underperformers. It's weird, since Toy Story 2, Shrek 2, HTTYD 2, and KFP 2 were all successful. I don't know why Disney can't seem to grasp the concept of a successful sequel, much less a smash-hit sequel. It's certainly possible, but they keep bungling it with sequels that have zero budget and creativity, and those that do get awarded to things like Fantasia and Winnie the Pooh, which realistically are not going to pull huge numbers across age groups around the world.

Disney stopped making as much merch ahead of films release following several high profile flops that were heavily promoted. Now they backend merch after seeing a film has legs to keep interest high.See the embarrassing fact that there is a Dinosaur theme park ride, loosely tied into the film and opened a year before the movie. The Frozen ride at Epcot isn't even open yet, in comparison.

At the least, Nick owes the state money, but given the lives saved by their actions, one would think that's enough to scrub the record clean.

>>81631673My point is that bravery or heroism is not how you get immunity in court cases, so using that as an example for how that logic could apply to this situation is a bad idea.Tax evasion is an example of character and background, it's a felony, and that's relevant when we're discussing not just having the record wiped clean but also giving Nick employment where he's sworn to uphold the law. If the ZPD has any standards for employment then they would be required to investigate his background and would have little to no choice in rejecting his application on account of his associates and background.

On the downside, lawfulness can include closed-mindedness, reactionary adherence to tradition, judgmentalness, and a lack of adaptability. Those who consciously promote lawfulness say that only lawful behavior creates a society in which people can depend on each other and make the right decisions in full confidence that others will act as they should.>Chaos implies freedom, adaptability, and flexibility. On the downside, chaos can include recklessness, resentment toward legitimate authority, arbitrary actions, and irresponsibility. Those who promote chaotic behavior say that only unfettered personal freedom allows people to express themselves fully and lets society benefit from the potential that its individuals have within them.

>>81631826Even with a background check, it'd be pretty hard to pin anything on Nick. I don't think the ZPD would even consider stuff like tax fraud, other departments would do that. The only really weird thing that Nick would have to account for was treating a grown man as his child.

>>81632306tbqh that was still the best way for it to have happened. The violence was only going to get worse and worse like it did in Rhodesia. Mandela might have been a criminal, but the government wasn't much better. C1 was a thing. By letting Mandela out of prison and letting him take the mellow face of rapprochement, it let all the pressure escape and prevent another Mugabe from coming to power. Same with the Tribunals just burying the hatchet. All things considered, the way it happened was probably the best outcome. Better that than a Rhodesia-style revolution and genocide.

>>81632885They would also interview family members, associates, and neighbors. If Nick has no records of rented or owned property, that sends up a red flag. If he doesn't have people who are of reputable character to speak for him, that sends up another red flag (Judy is one person, and they're looking for a trend). His records of not filing any taxes are still there, which immediately prompts questions as to what his previous employment was and how he managed to keep afloat. Again, big, BIG red flag. If they don't find any felonies then he's still of seriously questionable background. Not having a paper trail, or having one that prompts more questions than it answers, is a sign that the applicant is not worth pursuing.

>>81633209>We'd have won>surrounded on all sides by enemies>literally zero international support>attempting a war of genocideNo, you would have lost, and you would have been driven out of the country. The South African Army could have only lasted so long, and that's assuming there was no international intervention. Once the USSR fell in 1991, the US didn't need South Africa anymore, so they would have been much more open to intervening militarily.
>>81633335And then fondle his balls once you gain his trust.
>>81633252Well that seems kind of cruel, to have a child who could never have their own biological children.I can't really think of any real world examples of physical conditions that result in infertility without causing significant problems to the offspring themselves, though. But since a lot of crossbreeds also suffer from problems it could fall under similar laws concerning the cruelty of producing children with known or likely deformities. Up to a point it used to be illegal to marry two deaf people together on the grounds that their children would likely be deaf, for instance.
>>81633252Nah see, because not ALL inter species offspring are infertile. The males usually are but the females can generally produce offspring. However in these cases the offspring tend to be throw backs to their parents parents rather than another hybrid and tend to be sickly and weak.Honestly, it'd make for an interesting narrative for a main character since it's probably something paramount to be being the child of incest in that kind of world.

It's of the "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" kind, but that is corruption.>>81633527Not idealized expectations. I've applied for positions and the information I've had to provide indicates that they take their applicants very seriously, and a failure to disclose information is grounds for immediate termination of an application. And that's not even taking into account the voice stress tests/polygraph tests that are mandatory for some departments. If you cannot prove your character to be both lawful and moral then you will be rejected, and rightly so. This isn't a grocery stocker or a cashier: this is someone who has the ability to make arrests and shoot people. You do not want to let questionable characters or known criminals into your midst, and if you do, that's a sign your department and you are begging for the boot.

>>81630687They did a lot in the film that almost made it feel like one already. The themes, constant notion that death was an actual thing, biases, icing animals, possible but unconfirmed gay couple living by Judy. As long as a sequel kept the same sort of "real" things without making them feel hamfisted, it'd be great. Many want Judy and Nick to get together so one of the themes could be interspecies relationships.Though I don't know if a sequel could end up as good as this one simply because this movie had been ironed out over and over until it was perfect. Even if I find a few slight things in the movie a bit to convenient, overall everything made the film what it is and I don't know if I'd want any of that changed. Still even if a sequel wasn't as fantastic to me as this one I'd still want to see it because I know the team would make a great movie. Just keep it a great movie in of itself instead of trying to go by some magical perfect princess bullshit formula.

>>81633992Of course! It's a fun, plot driven movie.
>>81633702You're making it sound like Nick has nothing to his name. He was able to pull out the right documents in order to quiet down Judy the first time. Documents that he had to register through some government body. And I can't honestly think of a single reason why a police department would check through an applicant's tax records. Sure, if there's a tax evasion penalty already in there, that's a problem. But there's nothing. In real life, the taxation department would give a middle finger to the police department if the police department wanted to know if one of their applicants was possibly committing tax fraud.

They'll talk to neighbors and associates and find out what he was doing. If Nick can't prove that he earned so little as to not pay taxes, then he falls under misleading or misrepresenting himself or failing to provide adequate proof and he would be disqualified. And finally, since Judy knows he's committed tax fraud, her not disclosing that is again, corruption in the department.

>>81635552Judy thumping her feet rapidly was a reference to Thumper from Bambi. Rabbits don't actually thump like that in real life, but rather just once.
>>81635617The camera's close to the ground, so it picks it up extremely well. And those thumpers do pack quite a punch!
>>81635544Sort of. I understand and support the actions of those who violate the letter of laws that are unjust, and those who violate laws that prevent good actions, provided their justification is good and they submit to proper authority and are judged for their actions. There is also a huge difference between not prosecuting, or excusing someone's actions, and providing them with employment where their job specifically concerns upholding the very laws they broke in the past. A pardon is not a job offer, nor should it be.
>>81635616>>81635617>>81635552Isnt that their way to warn of nearby predators? They tapped their feet on the ground so those bunnies underground would hear and know the warning.

Post more Nick "I never pay taxes" Wilde
>>81635672Yep! Just one time, and it is incredibly adorable. Unfortunately, it's usually also a sign, with my bun, that I'm about to get bitten, but you need to take the good with the bad on occasion.
>>81635643Encouraging or commanding someone else to perform an action that is illegal is also illegal. Conspiracy to commit murder is not murder itself, but it is a prosecutable charge. Same goes for assault and batter.

>>81635693That's what I've read too - I wonder what the bunny in the video is trying to communicate.

>>81635692There is literally no evidence tying Judy and Nick to anything. There can be no prosecution because there is no evidence. There is no pardon, because all evidence shows they did nothing wrong. There is nothing to stop them from getting employment. Of course, we know that they are actually guilty of those crimes. But I don't give a shit.
>>81635768This is adorable. I want her as my giraffu.

>>81635888YesI'd make a recommendation but I'd probably get banned for it too
>>81635841The thing that stops Nick is a lack of a background. The thing that SHOULD stop them from getting employment is the crimes they did commit.Again: corrupt or incompetent.
>>81635389There should have been a bat character somewhere in the movie. Just because I read Silverwing as a kid and now have bat-autism.

>>81635692>providing them with employment where their job specifically concerns upholding the very laws they broke in the past.Nick is not applying to be a tax auditor, and Judy took actions that resulted in no physical harm to any parties while saving the lives of countless residents. >>81635953I like how you worded that to get around Judy using the mob to threaten Weaselton's life. And yes, I absolutely do. Police officers ought to be upstanding moral citizens. Decades of tax fraud is not a part of that. If Nick returns in a decade after having shown he has changed his ways then if the laws allow it he should receive another shot at applying.
>>81635964See I don't even disagree with you about the corruption stuff, I just don't care, but that guy was obviously making a joke.

>>81635929Nick's entire background is "I sold popsicles on the street to survive." No one reasonably expects perfect documentation of his income, and he could very feasibly state that he made below the taxable threshold for income.

>>81635888My comment wasn't pro-fanfics.>Are mods still being nazis about fanfiction? Also yes.
>>81636039>Literally missing the point of the filmNice work.
>>81636039Can you guys just stop with your argument about law and shit? It has virtually nothing to do with zootopia.
>>81636143It has everything to do with the film. It's worldbuilding and character.
>>81636108Because to everyone in Zootopia they look like heroes who stopped a major conspiracy?
I love FinnickI want to cuddle him and snuggle his face
>>81636075>I wish I knew what it said.Nothing major. Mouse Will requested Giraffe Lucy for her help as she specialised in multiple languages, including Whale. And they became friends after solving a big case of whale kidnappings. Sorry but there was no punchline.
>>81636142If you're trying to say that the point of the film is that people can change, I agree with that. That's why I think he should be able to reapply later on down the line once he has proven that he is a moral citizen, and for many years.
>>81636196FINISH THE UPDATE

>>81636117But the concept is interesting! The fact that they're partners with such a big size difference that they need talkboxes to communicate. The fact that they functions perfectly as a distraction for him during investigations because she's so big and a bit ditzy that everyone pays attention to her and he can sneak in and get info/find clues without being discovered! That she's the muscle and the brains! That the romance is 100% infeasible and insane to even contemplate but it's still kind of appealing even without any sex.UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGHHHHHHHHHHHH
>>81636222But he's already a moral citizen. All records indicate that he is.

>>81636268But Nick HAS a solid background. The only bad thing about his past cannot be proven. And the police department has no reason to investigate nor do they have the ability.
>>81636294>zootopia redefining 'nigger' to mean 'cute'
>>81636296It's a disney movie with talking animals. It is not some noir crime drama.
>>81636222>People can change and should get second chances>but only after ten yearsWew. I mean, I get your point, but that doesn't apply to all people regardless of context.
>>81636222I don't think that was a major point of the film at all, outside of people changing their views on prejudice. I was talking about how Nick had been unfairly treated in regards to the rangers and how it seems like foxes don't really get a chance to show that they're upstanding citizens, at least in the city.
Anyone have the webm of Judy subtly shaking her head as Nick tells the camel joke?
>>81636261Except he's clearly isn't and all records either show he doesn't exist or lied on them
>>81636382I mean its KINDA a noir crime drama.Just one for kids
>>81636390I thought that said camel toe for a second.
>>81636391He seems to have made numerous applications through different government bodies in order to properly uphold the law.Everything indicates that he's golden.
>>81636348>implying Judy didn't do her "magic" to disappear some records
>>81636391>Records show he doesn't existWhat are you talking about? He has transport permits and a tax record.
>>81636382>implying it's not a Disney Noir crime drama with talking animalsDumb fox
>>81636389What is unfair about being scrutinized for his moral character and legality by an organization that upholds the law? I expect that of every applicant.
>>81636470Judy didn't need to do anything. Because everything points to Nick having a clean record.
>>81636382Okay, so it's plot convenience. Which I've said before.
>>81636511Judy had evidence of their crimes.
Post comfy pics?
>>81636326Your tax records will never ever come up in a job application. They will never ever come up. Unless you were actually guilty of something. Nick is fine.
>>81636468Those could be forged and faked you know. And there's also the matter he's could've lied, which Judy clearly showed it did to an extent so it stands to reason he's lied about plenty of other things before
So have you retards come to a consensus or are you just gonna keep repeating the same 5 words over and over?
>>81636500>Ok sure you can try to be a cop in ten years>But you have to get treated like shit up until then because we're just going to assume you're not an upstanding citizen.
>>81636579Nick could have forged them, yes. He could have lied about a lot of things, yes.Where is your proof?
>>81636511Except he reported zero percent of his earnings. Even if you are below taxable level, you still have to report your earnings.Which he didn't do.
>>81636590Nothing in my post said he had to be treated like shit. His failing an application because he did not measure up to their standards means he doesn't get the job, not that he gets harassed and watched until then.
>>81636471And they all mark zero. In retrospect how the fuck did no one notice that

>>81636584I'm just hoping this shit gets pushed off page ten and next thread we talk about something less retarded.>How many different phone models must there be to cate to all the species in zootopia>Do they all need different interfaces too due to paws and hooves
>>81636540There's already been numerous posts showing exactly why Nick would be able to apply and be accepted, since his record is completely clean outside of Judy's recording, which was wiped. So no, it's not just convenient to the plot. The point of the other post is that you're putting way too much thought into this, and you're not even able to support your own argument after scrutiny. Just let it go dude.

>>81636726You made the claim they could have been forged. Burden of proof is on you.
>>81636726The lack of proof is my proof.Innocent until proven guilty. Since literally nothing in the movie showed that Nick might have forged or lied about those documents, then it really is safe to assume he's an okay guy.

>>81636966They will if you commit a felony and then lie about it on the voice stress test/polygraph that most police departments and other sworn positions use.Why is it so hard to understand that the standards for moral and legal behavior are much higher for police officers than they are for other jobs?
>>81636957I don't know what the deal with panic attacks are. Normal people don't have panic attacks over dumb shit like people on the internet do. If Nick watching his friend betray him and seeing images of muzzles on screens wasn't enough to make him have a "panic attack," it clearly means that he has his mental faculties together.
>>81637018Are you legitimately retarded? Being a fox that follows the law is a very big part of Nick's character in the movie.
>>81637027It's like you didn't even see the application form. It didn't mention anything about taxes, I'm sorry to say.
>>81637027>voice stress test/polygraph>implying Nick Wilde would fail a fucking polygraphThey shouldn't even be used anyway, since they are easily fooled, both for false negatives and false positives.
>>81637055Good pointAlternatively, where are my cute pics of Judy convincing Nick to open up to his emotions and calming him down after he starts crying from having to bury them for so long?
>>81637055Yeah, when Nick walked away he was relatively calm (albeit very visibly angered) and didn't say a word
>>81637056Except for the part where he committed felony tax evasion. He doesn't even try to deny it when she calls him on it.
>>81637027Polygraphs are not admissible in a court of law, they can be cheated very easily and you trip them off if your too stressed.
>>81637027Those tests are bullshit. Nick should be able to lie about anything under those tests, because he's a sly fox. There are stricter requirements to become a police officer. But your taxes certainly won't come up in any application you're doing. Especially if there's nothing to indicate you're guilty of anything.People can get away with stuff if they can hide it. It's sad, but true. But it's life, Anon.
>>81637084An initial application form is the first step in the process. It is not the end.>>81637089I completely agree regarding the scientific value for those, but they are used.>>81637127You're right, but they are used as conditions of employment for sworn positions.
Finally got a fucking Zootopia character. I'm not sure if all the Zootopia characters do this, but at least for Manchas you can pick up Nighthowler and go feral, ironically I keep getting gibbed by limos though.
>>81636380It originally was a term of endearment from masters to their slaves.
g-go easy on me guys
>>81637141I agree that people can and do get away with stuff if they hide it, which is precisely why people with questionable backgrounds do not get hired. Not because they are necessarily crooked but because they cannot prove reliably that they act and work within the law, and without that trust any organization that hired them would be putting their necks on the line.
>>81637161Classic? Is there an alternate Manchas?
>>81637027Wouldn't they need about twelve different machines in order to be equipped for multiple different sized animals that all have their own average resting rate?
>>81637188The thing about Nick is that there is nothing questionable about his past. As long as the evidence doesn't come up, and it won't, he's fine.
