>>81271588Damn, it's crazy how far CG animation, fur effects especially, has come since 2008.

>>81271588they evolved and live in harmony, no longer hunting each other,
>>81271588It's in reference to the cg on the animals, I assume, which is stupidly detailed.
>>81271588I think it has to do with the fur and the new technology put into the animation. Honestly, this doesn't bother me too much but I can see why some people might be a bit peeved that this is coming to light so soon after it was released. Look on the bright side, at least it isn't as obnoxious as the Academy presenting a 'deconstruction' of Big Hero 6... i.e. their half-assed attempt to justify them giving it an Oscar.
>>81271649Who'd play Bond?
>>81271637>nick's boogers have more voxels than buzzy and woody together
>>81271712>>81271637The eyes are impressive too. Look at the whispy color added to the iris -- it's fucking scary how much detail went into these characters.
>>81271588>>81271783The eyes were the first thing I noticed on that picture of Bolt too. They look so fake compared to the eyes in Zootopia. Do the eye models in Zootopia actually have depth or is it visual trickery?
So some of you want a seasonal Zootopia TV-show.Others have concerns over the quality of such project. It obviously won't look as good as the actual movie or Zootopia 2.But how about a mini series? Higher standard and room for stories that can't be put in a normal Disney cartoon.Or Disney could make it like WB and hire anime studios to make shorts. Zooanime.
>>81271837I want a House of Cards-style Zootopia series depicting the corrupt and cut-throat tactics at the heart of Zootopian politics. They could probably do that in a mini-series.Frank Underwood would be a wolf for sure.
>>81271837or, or, hear me out here, what about an *HBO* miniseries?

>>81271986This can't be true. We would never see Byron out in the wild if it were. You know that if there were a portal to Zootopia he would be the first one in line.
>>81271955>seeing the movie 30 times in theaters
After spending my long weekend not doing much of anything else, I've almost finished the rigging and python scripting for this model. The deformations look great for the most part now, so now I just need to add corrective blend shapes for the ears and cheeks. I hope to have it done and released in a couple days.>>81271682Yeah, the hair detail is fantastic. The technology isn't all that groundbreaking, at least compared to what they did for Tangled of Frozen. From what I saw of their hair tech video, a decent amount of in house tools and plugins exist that can do similar things. Actually, what impressed me the most is that they actually got the hair preview rendering fast enough to view while animating, which is something I haven't seen done in a useful manner yet.
>>81271955Twilight, Harry Potter came to mind.

>>81271637I wonder if there was temptation to do a Star-Nosed Mole character just to see if they could faithfully render all 25,000 of its Eimer Organs.
>>81272053All I'm saying is if that level of detail (and honestly character depth) can be given to fucking animated characters who is to say any of us are real, or those who are around us? What if the world of Zootopia is real, and they have animators who made our world and the people in it?

>>81272095But what if he doesn't know? What if all the animators and directors don't know -- what if John Lasseter went into Byron's mind and planted the idea of Zootopia (with a few differences, of course, with the shock collars and darker story that the executives could tweak until the tone matched the reality) into his mind. Or what if Byron is in on the whole thing...

>>81272265I feel the same.I've got work tomorrow until Sunday and this movie is both the best thing for me and the worst.I love how I can daydream about it and the characters, but it only makes real life seem more depressing.
>>81271955Star Wars, Star Trek, and probably Frozen.Star Wars, though, especially the original trilogy is kind of cheating since A New Hope was in Theatres for EIGHTEEN MONTHS (My dad expressly remembers because he saw it once each month in the theaters when it came out) and that was because of just different theatrical release standards of the time. (no VHS, nothing. Once a movie left theaters, for a long time, it was practically gone for good)>>81271837A mini-series might be cool. I'd almost suggest maybe 45 minute episodes and the plots being fairly self-contained though.Though now i'm imagining each episode basically parodies/homages different eras of crime thrillers.>First episode is modern Cop Show/CSI type stuff>A case in Zootopia's undercity/nocturnal district is all Noir>It's a "70's era cop show" episode>80's Era over-the-top action show episode where Nick can't put down his coffee without something exploding or a car getting wrecked>Series finale is going into a the oldest districts in Zootopia and it plays like a Sherlock Holmes story.
>>81271955Shon Howell aka King Cheetah is a special case. I would not call him a fan because it'd just put us in a even worse light.Do not get impressed by his "dedication". Ignore him and move on. He is scum and even many furries hate him.

>>81272377>no VHS, nothing. Once a movie left theaters, for a long time, it was practically gone for goodThis is crazy to me. How did autists like us get their fix?
>>81272367Don't see how thats a plot hole at all. And even so she said he didn't have to repay her.
>>81272355>>81272277What if, one day, these conspiracies turned out to be true? Would the public turn against Disney and stand with the cute little characters that they watched on the big screen?Or would they be so brainwashed to suck Disney's corporate dick that they'd choose to ignore the truth so they could keep the entertainment?
>>81272375I'm glad I'm not the only one, but I genuinely don't understand why it ruins my day. I was so productive before this movie came out, constantly working on studying or taking extra shifts at work, or practicing my animation/drawing, and now all I do is draw stupid animal shit and lurk these damn threads. I should probably go to a psychiatrist or something.
>>81272367She got him to pay her back in a different wayifyouknowwhatimean
>>81272454So the reason Byron is so obsessed with the characters is that he can transcend dimensions, and jumps between ours and Zootopia and he probably spends his time hanging out with Nick and Judy?
>>81272301>"Okay Nick, lets have a look at your taxes.">"Sure thing, Carrots. I have a new system.">"Oh?">"Yep. These receipts are 'misc', and these ones are 'other'.">"This sounds a lot like your old system."
Friendly reminder for every thread that if you want a Zootopia TV series you are a COMPLETE shithead and want to ruin the shit out of the amazing characters and visuals that have been given to us in the movie.A TV series would be held back on the visuals by a 22 minute run time budget and they would absolutely FUCK the character development because of filler storylines and bullshit to sell toys to kids. It'll feel like shit and look like shit. No fucking thanks.>B..but <name of cartoon> was goodNo.FUCKING WAIT FOR THE SEQUEL.
>>81272117>fox repellent
>>81272512Eh, I think it has to do with us being escapists. I've always loved the idea of cartoons being real, and often daydreamed about the characters and films that I see. Zootopia isn't much different than other cartoons, but for some reason I can't get enough of these threads and posting on them. I want to write and draw on my days off (maybe one day become a screenwriter) but I can't if all I can think about is Nick, Judy, and this damned film.
>>81272367those aren't really plotholes. The plot holes are:>How the hell was there no trace of the nighthowler toxin on the bodies of the victims when it was splattered against their skin>How the hell is Judy not in deep deep deep shit for half the stuff she pulled.And...>Why the hell are police doing detective work? The latter two though might both just be answered with the simple "Zootopia's law enforcement works differently", specially assuming the Mammal Inclusion Act actually was lifting previous limits or species requirements for law-enforcement which would imply an institutionalized racism in the past. (though, more likely it was just a "You MUST recruit at least one mammal the ZPD hasn't ever recruited before" or something like that)Makes me think of one running gag suggestion someone had for a TV series about "A mouse officer joins the ZPD and at some point in every episode he/she is seen hauling in suspects thousands of times their size with no explanation how they're doing it"

>>812727533DS?
>>81272601>>How the hell was there no trace of the nighthowler toxin on the bodies of the victims when it was splattered against their skinI'm trying to recall, did we see the splatter on Otterton and Manchas? I know we saw it on Nick, but those were blueberries. Depending on what was shown, it could maybe mean the stull absorbs into the hide and fades, or it might've rubbed off while the Timber Wolves captured them.>>How the hell is Judy not in deep deep deep shit for half the stuff she pulled.Plot convenience.>>Why the hell are police doing detective work?Yeah, that one bugged me too. I guess it could be that they didn't want to spend the time showing us plainclothes detectives, which is still a missed opportunity.Heck, why was Judy doing parking detail? The sign-up form she gave Nick clearly shows that parking enforcement and law enforcement are two separate jobs to apply for. One would assume she didn't receive training to be a meter maid because she obviously did not select parking enforcement on the form in the first place; which would mean Bogo forced her to do a job she was unqualified for, because he felt she wasn't qualified for the job she actually was trained to do.
>>81272805Then we should get busy.
>>81272601There's more>How did Judy get Nick's tax file if she wasn't in the system>Bogo gave her 48 hours on the Otterton case but after Manchas Nick said they only had 10 hours left. >>81272811This model is being made with Blender. I've used Maya a little, but I just prefer Blender's workflow for solo work.
>>81272805Kinda like that scene in Harry Potter>the subway car phases straight through the wall and suddenly you're sitting on the railway into Zootopia
>>81271294So, some thing's we've seen from this:>A storyboard has Nick scrambling up to Judy with a brief case and is pulled down into a pit by a sheep and punchedWhat I'm inferring from it is that the general end-game of the plot was actually the same. The animals going savage was still a Sheep conspiracy (Honey was right!) and they were still possibly using a chemical shooting gun (the brief case). Though I wonder if Bellwether was a new element?Based on other concept arts seen, it's possible Judy and Nick ended up captured around that point and Nick was turned wild and set on Judy (who in the concept art shot was tied up ala king kong chick) only for Nick to start protecting her.Though the other possibility is that the two scenes were unrelated drafts of different ideas for the finale.

>>81272847Dunno. I like the idea someone had that she called on her actuary friend from the prologue to get the scoop on Nick's taxes and it was a deleted scene, but theres literally no reason to think that this is true. I just think it would be funny if trueI'm sure Bogo probably wouldn't be too anal that she was outside the timelimit since she cracked a conspiracy going all the way to the mayor of the city, he didn't expect her to find anything.Hes an herbologist, he probably recognized the symptoms and figured out what was happening. We don't know why he went to Mr. Big instead of the cops but maybe he was worried about corruption.

>>81272847>>How did Judy get Nick's tax file if she wasn't in the systemI'd hazard a guess that a guy who makes a living by scamming people doesn't actually declare taxes at all and she was recording his confession/bragging about his illicit income.

So why does she need to use the carrot pen? Why didn't she just record shit on her phone? Sure, you could say the pen is "descrete", but it doesn't take much efford to start recording in advance and then pocket the phone before approaching whoever you want to record, such as Nick or Bellwether. Plus, she uses the phone's camera app to capture footage of Lionheart's operation, so she still uses her phone to collect evidence.Obviously the answer can very well be "because Disney wants to sell a voice recording carrot pen".

>>81276374I have absolutely no problem with a prey X predator couple, I don't think that's degenerate and etc. I just think that would be better for Judy & Nick to be platonic friends since it opens doors for a lot of character development and we already know how that will finish if they get married. Yes I hate shipping in general, especially retarded shipping like Judy X Gideon and Nick X Finnick, but even if I prefer Judy and Nick being platonic friends, I have still no problem for them being couple since that makes senses and, objectively AND subjectively, I will don't hate the sequel if that happen this couple is canon in it.
>>81276770>>81276695HeySTOP
>>81276764>Nick and Judy are on a case hunting down some dangerous violent criminal>Judy has a near death experience against a large predator hyped up on a low dose of a new street drug derived from the nighthowlers>the experience rocks her more than she thought and clings to nick for comfort after the ordeal but will be stronger because of it in the end.copied from /b/
You know, even though Zootopia Earth is on par and maybe slightly ahead of us as far as technology goes, they seem to be decades behind in biology. Not only couldn't Judy recognize Finnick wasn't the same kind of fox Nick was, but see him as an adult too, and this doesn't even have anything to do her upbringing, nobody at the parlor knew he wasn't Nick's son. Then there's the Night Howlers, how the fuck do you miss it being a flower toxin? I live in the desert and my hospital has jellyfish antivenom just in case. Not like they were an unknown thing either, if they're used as pesticide they should know the side effects of it being ingested and consider that a possibility, unless mammals eating toxic plants has never been academically documented before EVER .And finally the museum, with the rabbit-wolpertinger thing. The paleontology autist in me instantly thought to the early dinosaur/prehistoric fauna reconstructions of the 1800s. I refuse to believe that was a real creature at any point in this fictional animal world.
>>81276760I dunno. i find that I generally don't connect with a lot of stories with gay leads. Usually because it feels kinda pandering for whatever reason to me at least. I can't think of a single story with a gay lead that I've really liked.

>>81276816How would them being a romantic couple stop character development? Does that not literally increase the development of the characters lol? They can do everything exactly the same as the first movie, just a bit more intimate between scenes. I could understand them staying friends if they already had romantic interests before they met, but it's just too perfect, no two people attracted to each other are going to remain just friends when they have THAT much chemistry together, especially when they are single, even if they werent single, judy and nick connect so well that they would be the type to cheat on their partners lmao.

>>81279272honestly, I dont remember, these threads have been a dervish these past two weeks. Its either the artbook or the first site with the concept art.
They didn't show it in the movie because it would be too grimdark, but its completely plausible that at least one of the predators that went savage killed whomever they attacked before they could be restrained. Imagine having to process and deal with that information as a tagged predator.

>>81280237I want Nick to cum in my ass, while Finnick fucks my throat
>>81279595My only problem with this is I can't see any officer on the ZPD as bumbling as P.C. Butterman.
>>81280170>high school surfboard being diddled by a tentacleFirst; I would watch the entire series of an anime about a talking surfboard that goes to a high school for tentacles.Second; do they even make tentacle porn anymore?
>>81280346...yes?
>Get Zootopia Disney Infinity Figurines>End up getting game too because what the hell>Level up for the first time as Nick, tells me "Wow, and you thought I was foxy before?..."IS THE FOX FLIRTING WITH ME, WHAT DO I DO?!

>>81280170Good point. This might be the best role she ever gets, or the springboard that gets her VA career really on a roll.
>>81280346Surfboard, as in a flat high schooler. A loli. And yes, tentacle is a strong fetish there that won't go away. It's in their history.
>>81280401Buy the judy figure and introduce her to the game idiot
>>81280403dont post furry shit here
>>81280268It doesn't have to be a parallel. Just work the quotes to fit them.
>>81280403why do you post this in every thread?
>>81280401How is that shovelware game, anyway? Is it any good for its kind?
>>81280385>He's smug even when getting curb stompedSomeone stop this fox!
>>81280403get that shit outta here
>>81280509It's alright i guess. It definitely WILL NOT scratch that Zootopia itch though.
>>81280401Is it voiced by Bateman?
>>81280536Agreed. I'm having fun- it's a fun mindless game to play and I'll have fun with the Star Wars and other shit too. But I want an honest to God Zootopia game plz.
>>81280538I believe they got Bateman and Goodwin to do Nick and Judy's voices.
>>81280647Yeah. I just checked on imdb. But it's pretty obvious in the game it's not some half-assed sound alike, at least for Nick. Haven't tried my Judy figure yet.
>>81280538>>81280647I could stream it on Ps4 if you guys are interested. I thought it sounded remarkably similar but i couldn't tell.
>>81280459>Surfboard, as in a flat high schooler. A loli. That's fine anon, but my previous statement still stands, Happy Loving Surfboard Tentacle High ~Yay! is already going on my Netflix watch later list.

>>81280401FLIRT BACK!
>>81280401>Nick's smugness transcends time and spaceLike I said before, I imagine Nick -- off in his animated dimension -- spending his time browsing these Zootopia threads and making the occasional shit-post.It's like he knows that he's turned a ton of us into faggots and is loving it.
>>81280815I suppose you're right, nevermind then.Nick's moveset honestly makes me cringe a bit.
>>81280687YES
>Disney Infinity You know there's an official mission by the devs that ends with Nick asking Judy out to dinner, right? shit was so kawaii

>>81280870whati need to know more
>>81280852Stream it if you want to, I'm sure people will watch. The moveset is a little... meh. But the quips I've heard him say have made me chuckle. I giggled a little too hard driving him around the Dune Sea in a landspeeder after flying around on an Incredibles hover board too.
>>81280870Oh really?Please, Do tell.
>>81280870got a link?
>>81280884every time I see police quest, I always like to think that it's a game based on the best police TV show ever made
>>81280852Youtube has everything, streaming is just kinda pointless unless you're a twitchdroneAlso why bad? he's pretty stronk, m8. Double tap attack can be prepped up and homes in like a motherfuck, and if you max out the ranged jumbopop thing it turns into an AOE type of charged bomb attack, pretty handy on extreme mode where everything rapes your foxhole. I like Judy much more though
>>81280870prove it
why is nick so perfect
>>81275204but do you have pics of MARMALADE?
>>81280958Zootopia Squad! crossover when plz?

>>81280749>>81280809>>81280858Alright fine.>>81280870Care to give the name of that mission? I would like to show that one off if it isn't too bad.I'm going to start by showing off Judy, Then Nick (both level one) in an empty city, then show their Alternate costumes, then finally the two theme changes that you can create your own levels with. Then ill try that community creator level.you can find me at twitch, /fattyfatcakes
>>81281012>tfw never interacted with Psycho Pass at allI hear a lot of you talking about it. Am I missing something? Worth the watch? It's on Netflix last I checked.
>>81280921>>81280934You can download new missions and the Infinity devs do a few missions for franchises like lion king, inside out, etc. They have a mission for Zootopia where Judy and Nick have to stop a group of animals from bombing all the banks in Zootopia to steal the cash. At the end when they succeed Nick apologizes to Judy for knocking her the fuck out earlier in the case (he went undercover and it would have blown his cover if they knew he was ZPD) and he says he'll make it up to her by taking her out to dinner>>81280993>>81280948https://infinity.disney.com/toybox/4f0a7be17f1a4c82a6addf3f2df2aa6a

>>81280884Y'know, I remember playing the first one, finishing it years after. I should play the other ones.I was never into King's Quest.
>>81280870IT'S HABBENING!
>>81280870It begins. The greatest shitstorm of our time.
>>81281072Nice subtle twitch advertising +like :^)
>>81281113>>81281138Its not nearly as exciting as it sounds. And the mission itself is pretty bare bones, basically just something to show off all Judy's abilities. Not even voice acting for the cutscenes, just text.
>>81281107the toy box stuff? The stuff that plays out like you're just playing with toys?like you're a shipper that's trying to get them to date?It isn't even a date, it's a "I'll make it up to you" thing, people do that shit all the time.

>>81281188Fuck my twitch and ever getting viewers. My life is for drawing, not for getting faggots who don't play games to watch me play.I just want to show Zootopia content.
>>81281276It's not fanmade, it's official content from the infinity devs
>>81281276>this much denial
>>81281276They know they;re skirting around it, and I think it's pretty great. It has that will they won't they vibe that works so well in sitcoms
>>81281079It's a really good crime action/ drama set in near-future japan. It's got a lot of similar elements/ themes as Bladerunner, Minority Report, and 1984. I'm not very into anime but it's really good.Season 1 is god tier, season 2's writer was different and is utter shit. The funny thing is that Judy fits the main character pretty well. Both her and Akane are overly naive cadets from the top of their class who end up working with former criminals to take down a citywide conspiracy.
>>81281350I never said it was.the toy box stuff is nothing more than a person just picking up dolls and flinging them around, it doesn't mean shit, nothing in infinity means anything
>>81281276Shhhhhh just let it happen. They want to know what love isssss. They want to showwww theeeeem-
>>81281404Coming from a man who wants nothing more than to see those to together, to an almost autistic level, I think he's correct.Disney Infinity is about as non-canon as they come.
>>81281479More non-canon than crossover fanart?
>>81281479it's part of a useless cash grab genre called TOYS TO LIFE.What would make anyone think it means anything?
>>81281404You do realize that all the official add on packs/playsets (as in, the ones you pay 15-20 bucks for ) are nothing more than glorified toybox missions, right? just because they add voice acting and "professionally done" cutscenes doesn't change anything. All of infinity is just toybox missions.
I want to 69 nick
>>81281548YOU CANT FUG THE FOX
>>81281548
>>81281513this one is fucking top tier
>>81281513Natalie Portman was fucking eleven man. That movie is based on the realtionship of the director and his then girlfriend.
You know, this Zootopia game actually looks kinda decent for a game based off of a movie, but maybe the quality of shovelware games has just improved since the ones made 15 or so years ago. The only good one I can remember playing was The Incredibles, which honestly was pretty good for its kind
>>81281400Yeah, what this anon said. Judy's character is pretty much Akane Tsunemori.
>>81281579This would look pretty decent on a Zootopia themed card deck.Would Nick be a King or a Jack? Or would he hustle Judy's spot as the Queen?
>>81281294Draw some cute Bellwether. And not any silly /pol/ stuff but just like working in the office or something.
For any anons watching the stream. Looks like Disney is having a make a Zootopia level event. Which one should i pick?
>>81271634UGH WANT
>>81281868holy shit fuck off this isn't your twitch blog faggot
>>81281717Its not a zootopia game. Its disney infinity, which is basically just a huge sandbox game. Most of the gameplay is stuff made by other players.
>>81281868Something with a lot of Nick. Can't really comment there and cbf to sign up
