Don't even try deny you bought these books, crap or not. You know you're obsessed with this movie. So, epub downloads when? Poorfags and dirty third-world countries where they got the movie's name wrong and didn't bother to release these books in anyways need shit to read too.

So did the main Zootopia thread move to /trash/ or something?

Fuck, there's so many books popping up. Can anyone with good resource gathering please compile a small list of ALL the Zootopia books currently available? I've heard of an art book and a "guide" book but idk where you get those idk man I'm lost, I NEED ALL THE BOOKS but idk which even exist.
So, the art book. Is it worth getting?
>>81220953No, it's terrible.
>>81220953Yes, VERY much worth getting. Don't buy the Kindle version, 'tho, as the images are tiny and riddled with jpg artifacts.
>>81221071>implying I own a KindleOk, time to head over to amazon and order one.
>bought the Zootopia poster>it's Nick and Judy looking at each other all cute like>JUST FRIENDS™I want off this ride. I've never wanted a pair of fictional characters to get together so badly, it somehow makes me feel warm and happy when I think of them together, even if they are fake and fantasy characters there's just something pleasant about that thought, idk what it is. Every time I look up from my PC it's just a huge picture above my desk of them smiling at each other.I WANT OFF THIS RIDE by having them become official
>>81221189I think we all know that feel. It's killing me that I'm going to have to wait several years for the sequel.
>>81221189I know, I can't shake it. I never cared about this kind of stuff, but now I need them to be together. Shit.
>>81221230We're at least getting a 240-page graphic novel in three months. http://www.amazon.com/Disney-Zootopia-Graphic-Novel/dp/1772751774/Although it says it's mostly just a retelling of the movie, there's also supposed to be new material in there. Not exactly sure how that's going to go.

>>81221230>>81221234>>81221275I think for a lot of people, and this is just my speculation, it's that they acknowledge "love" (the romantic dating kind) to be a sort of ultimate form of affection and caring between two (non family related) individuals, only slightly before going full serious with marriage, but the affection is all the same. Yeah Judy and Nick make for great best friends™ and there's a lot of caring between them at this point, but we don't want JUST that, we want them to reach that ultimate point of affection, they deserve to be happy and love each other, they click so well and their personalities blend so wonderfully like we saw in the film, it's that damn chemistry between them, man. Nick deserves to have Judy kiss him and call him a sly fox, Judy deserves for Nick to pick her up in his arms due to their slight size difference and kiss her nose in a moment of letting down his smug personae, etc. It's only things that can happen when you feel that connection beyond just "best friends". A lot of people want them to achieve that connection and truly fall for each other so they have those moments. They are so perfect for each other with that level of affection. It has to happen dammit!

>>81221479Are they necessarily need to be a fucking couple?I seriously begin to think that a lot of people underestimate friendship in general, especially platonic friendship. I don't ask for them being eternal singles, but fuck sake is this need to go in romantic bullshits?
>>81221274Maybe they will expand finnick's role? He's such an adorable badass.
>>81221817was this one ever translated?>>81221728creators said they'd like to.I wonder who else they'd like to give a bigger role to?
>>81221724Did you even fucking read? seriously, try again. It's said there's nothing WRONG with them being/staying good friends, but good friends can't advance any further as far as feelings/relationships go. It's literally a wall that stops it right there, and yeah it's a "good place" to stop a healthy relationship and staying friends is fine, but fuck that. They're too perfect for each other to be stuck as just friends. There's too much going on between them positively with their personalities and chemistry that paves the way to something amazing. Judy and Nick wouldn't want to date (like many failed irl relationships do) because "oh he's hot" or "I want to fuck that rabbit" it's due to a genuine bond between them that grows naturally.I swear people that ride this "just friends" train literally refuse to acknowledge that the step above friendship can also be a wonderful thing just as strong (and stronger) than the best of friendships. Having a girlfriend doesn't automatically mean the death of a great friendship like it's this sudden 180 turn of events, it only opens up the door to it being an even stronger relationship. How many bad relationships must you have had to completely forget that this is a thing.Call it friendship+1 if your wizard level is so high that you can't understand these concepts.
>>81221817
>>81221859Bigger role to aardvark landlady, I hope.
>>81221030This is amazing. Human Judy is much cuter!
>>81221877shit, I barely remember her. To be honest I really wonder how much of a role she or Judy's neighbors could play since Judy likely had to find a new place, I mean she was gone from Zootopia for like, what, a week after quitting? Also, not a comic but it is a sequence of images.
We're going too far down the rabbit hole lads (pun intended), dial it back a notch or two, we don't want to end up like frozen or mlp threads.
>>81221923You some kinda weirdo?
>>81221954>FrozenWasn't here for that what happened?>MLPMove to /b/ then a troll board then an actual board that is just a shit show?
>>81221954Literally every thread someone says this. Stop being pansy pussies and just discuss the movie, everything is fine.
>>81221980>Wasn't here for that what happened?Former /frz/fag here, I'll be perfectly blunt: it got pretty bad towards the end... And actually towards the middle too.I mean even MLP kept getting new content with new episodes, and so far what's spared Zootopia has been the massive release of old concept work, creator interaction, and some of the side materials like posted above. But Frozen just had itself, the movie and the movie alone. And when content is basically digested, shat out/regugitated again and again, it gets horrifically vile pretty fast.I do admit, Zootopia threads are staring down a better dark double barrel of the cancer shotgun, and we might have already eaten some slugs earlier.
>>81221980Frozen threads pretty much instantaneously became lesbian incest shipping threads, later on things devolved further into r9k greentexting and self insert RPing. Thankfully there's enough content and topics in Zootopia to keep discussions varied and largely civil, but we're always two steps away from becoming a monster. Nothing ever good comes out of generals, ever. We have to avoid it for as long as possible, and when screenings end threads should wind down in frequency.
>>81221724You can be friends without being in a relationship, but friends can most certainly become a romantic loving couple. You think they could find better life partners? Really? Them not getting together would be like saying "Some people on the internet were friendzoned so many times that nobody else is allowed to become a couple after being friends". That's stupid.Nick and Judy are decent peop... animals. They overcame their prejudices and are very close because of all they went through. One of them wouldn't use the other, or cheat, or complain the other isn't perfect. They're old enough and have level heads so they'd not be getting married for stupid shit. >>81221860I don't get it either. If they were together it'd mean more interaction between them. As I said, with how they feel about as far as ideals and each other go, could they find anyone better? I don't think so. It'd be like some perfect woman came into your life but you stayed just friends, even though she was perfect. If Nick asked Judy out she wouldn't stop being his friend, if she somehow would say no even.
You'll build a self fulfilling prophecy if you go on about /frz/ this much in zootopia threads.
Was /frz/ full of Asian artwork or was it more of the Deviantart and Tumblr sort?
>>81222062Until the BD release, at least.

>>81222586Somehow, I would love to at some point Hardass Cop Judy to start ranting in the background at some point, you could faintly hear her shout "THE CODEX ASTARTES DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS ACTION!"Randomly, here's another topic to discuss:Zootopia is supposed to e set on earth, just an earth where humans never evolved. The City itself apparently has a default Savanna Climate based on the fact that the Savanna district seems to call for no special environmental controls and the "Downtown" is extended from the Savanna District. So does this mean Zootopia would exist in Africa?Other things to note is that Zootopia itself seems to be a fairly large island or peninsula that does lead into mountains surrounded by an equally massive body of water. The thing that does throw things about it is that Bunny Burrows is mentioned as something like 170-200 miles away and seems temperate (and I know environments and climates can change drastically over distances but that drastically?)So... Where would you place Zootopia?
Has there ever been a couple that a fandom has wanted to get together this badly and it actually happened?I don't want to get my hopes up.

Communication between fans was either done in person or via mailing lists back in the day so by nature things got around pretty slow. Liea X Han and Leia X Luke both had their supporters because the first movie didn't really establish Leia as the love interest for either of them, but showed both Luke and Han as being interested in her to a degree.
>Nick had the whole ending hustle planned out for Bellwether shooting him>He didn't realise that getting shot with a Blueberry in the neck would still really hurt>Spends the first half a minute choking and retching and has to work it into his performanceSeriously I assume it'd feel similar to getting shot with a paintball gun.

I thought the scene with them in the cop car and their looks during the graduation ceremony and the concert was hinting at something more, especially since that was all crammed at the end of the movie after who knows how many months had passed since they solved the bellweather case (Nick had to attend police training, that had to be a few months)The movie creators shattered all of that speculation though, they've made it perfectly clear there was no romance at all. So how much longer is the movie going to be in theatres in the states? It's been out like a month now, right? or like 3.5 weeks or something? I want to see it again before it drops out

>>81225268Granted that Zootopia came out in mid-Feb/early-March so it's been barely a month after release date.Contrast that with those Frozen dates, which are over 3-4 months since release date for most of those countries. So who knows? Maybe we'll crawl up. We'll only really know for sure if we have a shot at the billion after Japan, then it's just some odd 200 million on top of that. Maybe we'll be able to make that in 2-3 more months, if theaters around the world haven't switched entirely to BvS. Like over here. It'll be safe to say we'd be mostly out by May. Pic very related.

Was watching some BBC1 Movie News thing with my family yesterday and the guy spent 5 minutes ripping on BvS saying how disappointing it is, and that everyone should go watch Zootropolis instead. If people are that desperate to go watch something during Easter Break and BvS is seemingly just letting everyone down, ZT would be the next best thing to see I guess. I think it's still No. 1 at the box office for either US or UK at the moment, but that's only rumours I've heard so if anyone can confirm/deny that it'd be great I guess.
>>81222839>but even in Nicks feral state he could still see Judy as his mate or part of a pack. Like the original script had. What original script? Is it available to read somewhere?

I think what people keep forgetting about when it comes to the possibility of a continuing Zootopia series either movies or TV, is that what makes it extremely attractive to Disney is not the money from the movies or TV, it's the merchandising.Compared to Frozen or Big Hero, Zootopia has far broader appeal due to not having the stigma of being a boy or girl focused film and there's far less investment needed to make easily marketable merchandise. For example, all the characters are animals, which means they already can easily be made into plush animals and you can easily make up goofy gadgets for characters to sell to kids that they'll eat up.
>>81225622I'M ENDING PREDATION AS AN INSTITUTION
>>81225646At this point, I have zero confidence in our collective understanding of marketing and merchandise

http://www.forbes.com/sites/alishagrauso/2016/03/07/in-hindsight-how-the-marketing-of-zootopia-won-big-by-getting-weird >Where Zootopia‘s marketing went off-script, some might even say weird, is that it marketed to the Furry community. For those of you unaware of this particular subculture, suffice it to say, it’s a fandom that’s obsessed with anthropomorphic animal characters from fiction, often dressing as them and roleplaying their parts at conventions – and, yes, for a faction of the community, there is definitely a fetishized sexual component to it. >Weird? Definitely. Effective? Also definitely. It was rather genius on Disney’s part, marketing directly to a demographic that will certainly, at least a fair portion of it, be sexually attracted to your main character – even if that main character is a 2D, fictional, animated character.

>>81228969Right. Another thing that's been bothering me is what is the point of a muzzle in the universe where there are no non sapient animals and pets beside fish and bugs. Did the bullies get the muzzle from a sex shop?

Does Tootopia general collect sticker or buy Zootopia comic magazins?
>>81229094guilty, my german neighbour.
>>81229042You've got me there. >>81229042Muzzles as a whole make sense, imagine a world full of Hannibal Lecters. (violent crime in zootopia probably tends to be really fucked up) And maybe it's also used for predator children with behavioral problems. As for where they got it, could have stolen it from a parent or whatever.
>>81229816Wait a sec, that's right. Didn't the wolf getting arrested in the first scene at the ZPD have a muzzle on? He was complaining the other guy 'bared his teeth first'.

>>81229451Than i know you from the general, i visit them sometimes. You are the one posting the lego magazines covers.>>81229506Ok, here, after some research its more a "Disney Stars" Zootopia special issue.

>>81230681but it sounds more like a disease...
>>81230499I can understand when drawfags who do commissions do some requests here and there, but IIRC he had threads filled with his crappy requests drawings.
>>81230713In german it sounds more like a film with extreme action.Like "film with extreme many animals"
>>81231121'Zwierzogrod" sounds like city inhabited by animals. (Zwierze - animal)
>>81231161But germans dont go for cities with animals, they like action. Or at least thats what the disney guys think.
>>81231336>Or at least thats what the disney guys think. Then why change Big Hero 6 into Baymax?
>>81231336Well, we all know what happens when the German's get overly excited about action...
>>81231508They are always changing titles because they think the German audience is too stupid (Well, most little kids don't speak English). They changed "Thor - The Dark World" to "Thor - The Dark Kingdom". I mean wtf.
>>81231620>They changed "Thor - The Dark World" to "Thor - The Dark Kingdom"I'm sure Marvel movie titles are the UK's fault. Same with the second Cap movie.
I just realised that Nick' popsicle hustle completely undercuts his whole arc and what he believes about zootopia. But I guess we just didn't see the whole thing before Judy showed up, so I suppose it can get a pass.
>>81231646Well, that changes everything. But why are they doing this?
>>81231646What was Winter Solider called?
>>81231508Because baymax sounds in german action orientated.Big hero 6 sounds jap b-movie. Too much video game orientated, not for kids.At least thats what i could think of.
>>81231541Sure, we show everyone that we are dudes, like soccer festivals.
>>81231656how so?
>>81231779Nick believes that the world only sees foxes as untrustworthy, but he's trying to convince the elephant to sell him a Jumbo pop by being earnest. Granted he might not have thought that the elephant was a big enough bigot to refuse service, or they had a plan to get the pop after getting kicked out, but it's just a bit odd.
>>81231678>>81231680NVM. Apparently UK didn't change the title. Germany and some other yurop countries changed it to "The Return of the First Avenger".I guess AMERICA and WINTER SOLDIER were too triggering for us.
>>81231680They changed it but used english in german.
>>81231833>>81231834Weird. Thor 2 was still called Dark World here too,but they did change Avengers to Avengers Assemble.
>>81231833I believe winter soldier is too unknown in germany. So they tried to use captain america as reason for the audience.
>>81231900lol, no one knows Captain America in poland and yet we still got "Winter Soldier"
>>81231896I think some marvel/disney germany co want to mark these films with something they dcueed and let it sound edgy.Like someone new is leading and suddenly want to make his own imprint on the work/company.
i'm drowning in writing that isn't about gay foxessave me anons, post cute fox
>>81231986Because wintersoldier is typical russia and for a american poland is stil russia.Co's are a species on its own. As a normal /co/ or /tv/ you cant understand them. Lol
>>81231896>but they did change Avengers to Avengers AssembleI guess because of the UK series named Avengers and the shitty 90's movie.>>81231900>So they tried to use captain america as reason for the audience. But Captain America isn't used in the title in germany. It's just "The Return of the First Avenger". According to IMDB it was supposed to be "Captain America 2: "The Return of the First Avenger"" though. Guess it was simply too long.
>>81231829>by being earnestHe had his small friend dress as and pretend to be his kid to garner sympathy. He been specifically says that 'if everyone sees foxes as sneaky and shit I might as well be that way'.Did we see the same movie?
>>81232194I don't think you understand what I'm saying.Everyone sees foxes as sneaky, so why try to get what you want by appearing to be honest?
>>81232260Becasue there's always a sucker like Judy that want's to feel like they're better than everyone else by believing that foxes aren't all lying con artists.
