>>80833183Those are shit villains, except for turbo>"let's watch her die together shall we?"Tie between him and dawn
>>80833015Mulan was cool and she shares similarities with Judy (a lot, actually) but where they differe is how they got to be so good at what they do and their inner conflict. Mulan has always been smart, but it was only in her training montage she had well into adulthood do we see her become a capable fighter. Judy isn't as smart as she thinks she is and trains her whole life to be a good cop. Mulan is also very bland and relies on external forces to characterize her.Tiana's flaw is that she is so ambitious that she doesn't have time for love... And we never see how that's bad. She isn't a callous jerk who emotionally neglects those around her and eventually herself as she finds herself at the top but incredibly lonely, instead we see that, to no one surprise, that she developed feelings for the male she had been traveling with. Nothing happens to her for denying this. The moral of the story would seem to be "you don't need hard work or goals you just need to find love" because Tiana's greed never becomes an issue. It's got a decent moral (through your struggles to reach your goals, don't lose sight of what's really important) but Tiana was too perfect to tell it.
Dawn is one of Disney's weaker villains 2bhShe wasn't very threatening. She is slightly redetermined by the fact that she is completely devoid of any sort of compassion for even those she is close to (hopps)

>>80836985I'd find it more amusing if Clawhouser was married to some super cute gal and had like three kids. Could be an amusing little gag and show how having a really good personality and not being a complete lazy fuck can take you far.
How good does Finding Dory have to be to take the Best Animated Feature Oscar away from Zootopia? Is the Academy's hard-on for Pixar real?
>>80836902Marketing for the Lego Movie was really bad in Japan.
>>80837063>How good does Finding Dory have to be to take the Best Animated Feature Oscar away from Zootopia?Better than its trailers make it look.
Just throwing this out there.

>>80837146>Front is Nick Leaning against a post>Back is a sign that says "Out To Lunch"
>>80835865Not much changes except Nicky would probably save Jude occasionally instead of it bring so one sided.
>>80837112This.Outside of Toy Story, Pixar sequels tend not to do well with the Academy. Zootopia's real threat is Moana, which is released closer to Oscar time and is a musical a la Frozen. The good thing is Disney marketing will carry Zootopia well for the rest of the year, and the voters always vote blindly for Disney/Pixar anyway so there's a 50:50 shot. Plus, it is a good pick for those who aren't into musicals.
I love nick!
>>80837121heh. have a pillow.
>>80837154Hm, good point. I actually don't hate Clawhouser though. He's not obnoxious like most fat characters.
>>80837192Moana is being done by the team that did The Princess and the Frog, so I don't expect much from it (unless that team has had a turn-around).
>>80837162Disney's Facebook. The board thinks a direct link to the URL is spam.
>>80837146>tfw it flips over>tfw you can sleep with Nick making physical contact with your body
>>80837149Do not lewd the lamb.
>>80837147Yeah. Judy is a more interesting character because while she's smart and capable, she is also flawed and ignorant. Rather than having it figured out from the start and challenging society, her world view is challenged and changed. She experiences more growth.
>>80837218...and I thought those were condom wrappers...I think I need to take a break from the internet...
>>80832630Explain to me how she makes a good villain please. It's a power grab, but she's not a "possible protag" at all.
>>80837147NoIgnore closetfurs that say different. The movie is decent and frozen tier levels of overrated.
>>80837241There's also the whole "Oscarsowhite" thing that could help it since it's an ethnic princess.Though Zootopia's theme of prejudice could possibly nullify this. Regardless, even though I loathe how Disney wins Oscars without deserving them, I really don't want to see the movie with Nick and Judy go home empty handed....or paw'd...or... whatever.
>>80837192I'm actually really hoping Moana will fantastic, it a tough act to follow after Zootopia's surprising acclaim. I'm hoping that it doesn't become the Good Dinosaur to Pixar's Inside Out. Or a different case the Pocahontas to Disney's own Lion King.
>>80836192If anyone has a Facebook can they please ask if the Wild Times theme park is still Canon? I know we see it in the background in the movie, but is it just a warehouse Easter egg or does it actually exist?

>>80837298"Rabbit" is an ethnicity too.
>>80837248Yes, lewd her. Give her a carrot in the pants.
>>80837298speaking of hand, did they used this word in the movie?
>>80837253Mulan's entire schtick was literally changing a societal norm that everyone had accepted from and before her birth, though. She's also a flawed character who acts recklessly and without regard.
>>80837219I think it's nice that they're moving away from the typical gay twink appearance with Clawhauser.
>>80837298>I loathe how Disney wins Oscars without deserving themThat's because most of the academy members don't even watch the animated film's nominees, so they just vote Disney/Pixar on the basis that "their movies are always good".
>>80837286Frozen had obvious shit wrong with it, though. The trolls felt out of place and didn't need to exist, nor did their songs. Olaf was shoved in there for little kids to giggle and the stupid snowman, also didn't need to exist. It was bogged down by that shit and a few unneeded songs. Zootopia is a completely enjoyable ride from start to finish. No side characters taking up more time than they deserve, no dumbass song and dance number by a bunch of midgets, it didn't feel like there was any real baggage.
>>80833402Judy is so pure that she showers with her eyes closed.
>>80837331You have made this exact post several times wtf is wrong with you
>>80837376Aren't the academy members filled to the brim with old money rich white men who haven't seen a vagina or a pair of tits in 50 years?
>>80837339Bellwether said "the case is in good hands" after texting the mayor at the police station.
>>80837385>No side characters taking up more time than they deserve,if only he had a once more scene...
>>80835746You noticed one of Disney's obvious plays to the furry audience.
>>80837386What do you call a rabbits vagina?BUGINA LOL
>>80837386Judy does not know lewd.
>>80837411Gender makeup is varied, from what I recall. But they are basically a bunch of rich baby boomers, yeah.
>>80837434what a qt
>>80837298>I don't want to see Nick and Judy go home empty handed, or pawedIt'll be ok son they're not real and won't take away anything, and oscars being white has jack shit to do with an animated movie. Are there seriously people who think this is Oscar worthy?
>>80837434He wasn't shit though, so him getting another scene or two would have been fine. Hell I didn't hate a single character in the movie that I can think of. Well in the sense that "I hated that this character was in the movie." Even Judys neighbors were good for a laugh and gave Judy the idea that Zootopia wasn't perfect early on. Plus they said one line that I can't remember which was amusing.
>>80837244Cool I just found it
>>80837385That's literally all your opinion. I'm saying the two movies are overhyped in the same way and that's pretty fucking objective.
>>80837468It's worthy of Best Animated Film, that's for sure.
>>80837485Shut up can't you hear her dreams are being crushed?! Or something like that?
>>80837344Judy also acts recklessly. Her childhood is also more fleshed out so we get to know her better.
>>80837403>You have made this exact post several times wtf is wrong with youNot me, but I take it it's been brought up before then?
>>80837485>>80837522>Judy: Relax Judy, Tomorrow is another day.>Neighbor: Yeah but it can probably be worse!

>>80835729It depends on how ripe the berry is. This one came out of my fridge and it was mute purple on the inside.
>>80837567I'm just putting the cherry on top with how much better she's characterized. We know her much better so we're that much more sure that she's the better character. You could start the movie with when she gets to Zootopia and you'll still see she's better.
>>80837442So that explains a lot why The Artist won best picture.
>>80837553I really want Nick and Judy to have loud raucus sex to get back at the neighbors.
>>80837567Learning about a very important event that happened to the character can help though.
>>80837608Not to be devil's advocate, but most people don't give a fuck about animation. They're dismissed as movies for children because regardless of how much some autismo tries to hammer in the "grand message" of the picture that's what they generally are, and zootopia is no exception. It's a tiny demographic that as far as film is concerned, doesn't stack up the way other oscar nominations do. Only a handful of times has an animated movie walked out with best picture and it doesn't hold a candle to those films. Best animated is all you get and even then that's usually just given to the last thing shat out.

Today I watched it a third time and with the original english audio. Two things I have never done before with any other movie. Small theater and only six other people (early evening), but it was nice enough.Well, sorta original. It was pretty much the UK version (Zootropolis) with Zoomania title card. Anyways, Goodwin was really good. She had some nice moments, BUT I do prefer Judy's german VA. Josefine Preuß was much more emotional and cuter.Bateman was great. Superior to his german VA, who I'd say was pretty damn good too. The other voices were I'd say on the same level, but I prefer Alan Tudyk's Wieselton over austrian Wieselton.Went to Toys 'R' Us to check out the Zootopia merch. The action figures were meh, the big ones dopey and I didn't like the plushies. They looked underwhelming.

>>80838922I think the most ironic thing about the film at least nodding to furries; from the actual emails sent by the animating company, to a few blatantly pandering scenes, is how many people scream and deny that the film is dangerously furry. If you're a sick waste of skin come out of the closet, it just makes you look caught in your own hubris to deny it about this movie.
So how tall these infinity figures are? I can't find any comparsion pics.
>>80838954Robin looks better.
>>80839061I think people denying it's furbait are normies who don't want to believe and don't want to become one because they like the characters too much for their own good. As a dude that faps to that stuff daily, I think it's absolutely furbait. Even without the emails and shit, just on the movie alone, but with that other stuff it's nigh incontrovertible.

>>80839309I now want the sequel to be them getting brought by the Zootopian version of the FBI, in order to have them help with some parallel universe jumping device, in order to help set the dystopian version of Zootopia right by helping that universe's Nick and Judy follow the first plot. Maybe with a series between them something along the lines of a cross between FRINGE and The X-Files.
>>80839250They already explained themselves in the art book. The reason why they changed the story is because it was so depressing that the team was becoming demoralized during the long time that it takes to make an animated film. >>80836085There was war before the peace accords. But it was tribal and savage. I have to wonder what the rest of the world looks like. Zootopia seems to be the hub of their civilization. >>80840082pets are nothin but toy story with animals, plu poop jokes.ice age is milking of a dead cow.
>mfw I noticed that moose wearing a trenchcoat in the first ZPD shot>walking in with a briefcase and laughing at the wolf being arrested>mfw I'm now considering commissioning art of him looking like a detectiveI'm beyond hope, aren't I. I just think he'd be a cool arson or homicide detective.
>>80835644that would be a fucking nightmare if it's as concentrated as the pellets.>Doesn't need to be breathed in or make any contact with mucus membrane>Just soaks into the skin and slowly you find yourself becoming increasingly irritable, it becomes hard to think>Next thing you know you're in the hospital a few weeks later after going savage and killing your own partner.
>>80840071Is this a real comic? I want to get a copy and frame it.
Why are you people acting like the songs on the characters' spotify playlists are meant to represent them personally? I mean sure maybe a few do, but otherwise they're probably just songs that the characters like to listen to. I like a ton of songs that I can't personally relate to, doesn't everyone? You guys are reading way too deeply into this shit.
Is the Q and A happening now?
I like the movie i would say it is my favorite if someone asked me
>>80840115oh, you dont know? kids dont like 2D anymore, some /co/ told us about his nephew, they watched this movie and when they kid saw most of it was 2D he said that was a mistake
>>80840160In 45 minutes
>>80840140>you guys are reading way too deeply into this shitThese threads in a nutshell it comes with having a shallow story and characters
should I buy the talking nick plush
>>80840193>>80840199Where do I go exactly? The Zootopia Facebook doesn't have anything about it.
>>80840187"CGI was a mistake"- Steven Spielberg
>>80840187>They probably had to pay a fuckton just to get the rights of using the Hollywood sign for a poster for a fucking Spongebob movieIt's a wonder how Paramount isn't broke as fuck.
>>80840074The very fact that you think the movie ISN'T Oscar worthy is subjective. Hell, even critics all over the country disagree with you if RT is anything to go by. Or do you seriously believe that everyone giving the movie a rave review is a furry? Something can only be overhyped if it doesn't deserve its praise, and you aren't the one who gets to decide what is and isn't worthy like your opinion is some kind of fact. It's perfectly okay to not like the movie, but you sound hilariously enamored with your own opinions.
>>80840233The official Disney Facebook page
>>80840074That's because it is Oscar worthy. Or did you forget there's a whole Oscar category for best animated film and thought they meant Best Picture?Oscars are shit anyways and are not the end-all-be-all of quality, especially when it comes to animated movies, which we objectively (this is how you properly use the word) know are glossed over by most voters as baby shit for babies. The Annie Awards should carry more weight around here since they are specifically revolve around animation.
>>80840226only little children like toys, anon.
>>80840289Doesn't seem to have anything on it either. Last post was about The Lion King musical.
>>80837677I'm honestly considering trying my hand at writing that
>>80840137Don't get too excited; it was created by a fursuiter working for Disney to get back at people in the furry fandom that he didn't like.
What do you tell someone you calls you a furfag for liking this movie even though you aren't a furry?
>>80840074I don't know if Oscars take this into account but they made technological advancements and leaps for the fur and fur shader as well as the way lighting was handling in this movie.
>>80840225But the story and characters weren't shallow and fans read too deeply into anything they like regardless.
wow, this is so motivating.also it his home hard, poland is often like that
>>80840331"Shut up and top off my soda, counter monkey"
>>80839882Actually from what I heard, Sly was put on a back burner until Sony sees how R&C preforms at the box office and are just being silent about news for the film
>>80840310It's right here
>>80839989I want to think she did, that or a nuclear/particle physicist
>>80840331>"I am not a furfag."
>>80840331Tell them you are as a joke
>>80840316Instead write one where judys parents visit and find the recorder pen with her and nick fucking like wild recorded on it.
>tfw this movie made me love Disney againIt's such a fucking breath of fresh air after how underwhelming I found every Disney movie post-Lilo and Stitch. I did kinda like Wreck-It-Ralph though.
>>80840336Unfortunately they do not. This movie deserves the win on technicality alone, developing the animation technology as they went along.
A few days ago I asked my colleague if he already watched Zootopia. He started telling me about how he wants to see it and what a strong impact on furry-community it had. I tried to stop conversation ASAP and went back to work. I don't even know what should I do with this now.
>>80840386>inb4 some anon enters the stream just to say I WANT TO FUCK THE RABBIT
>>80840386can you provide a link? This is all I see.
>>80840478>some anonIt will happen multiple times, I guarantee it.
>>80840501Spam filter won't let me post it
>>80840466I agree, things that they made to use in this movie will probably be the gold standard for fur effects
>>80840465Wreck-it Ralph was okay but everyone expected a video game version of Who Framed Roger Rabbit and I think that's what disappointed people most.
>>80840412If the first is well-received I was thinking of writing a story where Judy introduces Nick to her parents/tries to explain her relationship with a fox and I could toss that in at the end
>>80840540>>80840466Could the fur effects win it a nomination for visual effects or is that reserved for live action movies?
>>80840525>>80840478We're just waiting to spam the furry emails ourselves.
>>80840539spaces to break up the link should work.
>>80840540Utilize the enviormental special effects of Good dinosaur, and the Fur effects of Zootopia.Things are looking good for Disney/pixar's animation departments.
>get Judy Disney Infinite figure>open it>boop her nose
>>80840586What are these furry emails people talk about?
>>80840465same. WiR was something fresh, but didn't really click with me, then frozen was nothing bore but yer typical princess disney movie, and BH6 was like "we want the otaku audience", i wasnt even sure if it was disney movie.
>>80840331I shrug and tell them that it's a good movie and they should watch it
>>80840617Literally google it. It's exactly what's been mentioned in the thread; animation company sent several emails and tweets to fur meetups and groups asking them to see the movie and take pictures in their fursuits.
>>80840580Too many already like that. We need a ' Judy's parents see them doing the lewd' fic.
>>80831860OH MY GOD
>>80840331You realize the worse outcome, you're way too involved in a children's cartoon. At least the others are getting off, you're just an autist.
>>80840598I remember in an interview that Disney and Pixar use different animation software that isn't compatible with each other. So even though they do share their techniques, the other has to translate and build it from scratch in order for it to work on their platform.
One thing they never explained that someone might want to ask in the Facebook sessionwhat happened to Judy's aunt that eat a whole nighthowler? Assuming she naturally recovered, why didn't the other animals?could predators really be biologically predisposed :0
>>80840676>Too manyReally? I haven't seen very many good ones yet, got any suggestions? Most of the ones I've seen get over the conflict too fast or just have the parents be really accepting from the get-go.
>>80840590Best I can do
>>80840555It was for the most part What people forget about Roger Rabbit, is that the recognizable characters didn't play any major role in the actual outside of a few cute cameos and lines.Same thing basically applies to Wreck-it Ralph
>>80840738As long as yours isn't like that then okay.
>>80840746turns out the reason I couldn't see it was they kept redirecting me to DisneyUK when trying to look at Disney.Logging out seemed to fix that problem
>>80836682>>80840707think coca leaves vs. cocaine
>>80840555who's this character on that cover?...what's his name?
>>80840707Her uncle ate the raw plant. The stuff the predators were getting darted with were chemically refined. Like eating a coca plant versus snorting actual coke.
>>80835779>Never Gonna Give you Up>All Star by Smashmouth
>>80840707I remember her parents saying that the effects wore off after a day. The affect not disappearing might be that it was a concentrated extract made by Doug, making it hard if not impossible for the effects to fade away
does anyone have a screen cap of nicks paws during the scene where the train explodes
>>80835779Wouldn't "Who Let the Dogs Out" be considered a racist song on the Zootopia Universe?
>>80840780I think they meant something of that quality, but they could also mean spending more time between games instead of stuck in just one game with only a couple of outsiders.
>>80840864No, they're more likely respond to it as 'what the fuck is a dog?'
>>80840706Animation software yes but that's only for animation of characters. Pixar has a custom software called Presto for that whilst Disney just uses Autodesk Maya.Otherwise after character animation they both use SideFX Houdini and or Maya for Cloth, Particle and other Special effects stuff as far as I know, hence aside from character animation they use the same tools for the rest.
Episodic Judy and Nick investigations game when?
>>80840951My kingdom for a Zootopia Telltale game.
>>80840773>Nick & Judy pull over a black SUV >BoJack is driving, berates them for pulling over an innocent horse who's clearly very busy >Breathalyzer test>Bojack eventually gets tasedWould be fun to see in the sequel
>>80840612Did you get Nick?
>>80840951coming soon, made by telltale
>>80840130If I was rich I'd probably commission work of the Ottertons lovemaking instead of rape nighthowler shit. Not worth it to commission Judy x Nick stuff since there seem to be, thankfully, streams of it coming every day. Oh and Francine the birthday Elephant. She was a cutie.
>>80840981>>80840971Only if it plays like Sam and max.
>>80840971>>80840951Can we beg for this during the fucking Q&A? I want it so bad.
>>80841030Sure. I don't know how much control the directors have over something like that, but it wouldn't hurt to ask.
>>80841005With L.A. Noire interrogations.
>>80840134I'd hope they have antidotes around now in tranq guns and such for if someone decides to abuse them again. It'd have to be a wide scale sort of terrorist style biological attack to really fuck shit up after they know how to deal with it now.
ive never watched a fb livestream so how do i do it?will it just pop up or do i have to do something else?
>>80841074>(A) Truth>(X) Doubt>(Y) Lie>(<) View Notebook
>>80840951>>80840971Seriously, if Telltale game makes a Zootopia video game, I would like too see it as the return of the Sam & Max's gameplay with new mechanics and gameplay. Something about the team and the interaction between Judy and Nick without being awkward like the Jurrasic Park game.
>>80841148>>80841208>you have to interrogate Nick. He has an unfaltering smug face throughout the interview.
i just got back from seeing the movie for the first time. The ending WAS a little bit rushed, but a pretty enjoyable movie overall
>>80841081probably, not to mention that I could see new strains of Nighthowler extract becoming used as a street drug.>now remembering that episode of Batman Beyond with the animal splicers and Terry fought them with a demutagenic dart gunI could totally see Nick or Judy eventually quippinf "someone needs a dose of reality!"
>>80840980Yes. The tail feels nice.
>>80839932Listen to the lyrics in Evil. Same playlist.
where is the fucking stream?
>>80841504live, right now
Is anyone else not getting video on the stream?
>>80841555I've looked at both disney and zootopia's facebook page, no sign of a livestream link.
>>80841611Guess it might be US only?
>>80841604It's working fine for meI'm pretty sure they're both smashed but Byron and Rich seem really funny and great
>>80841555>>80841604Can't watch it as it uses flash player. Please someone record it.
It's black for me...but where are people sending the questions?
>>80841627ah, wait, nevermind. just needed to refresh the disney page.
lots of cut animation confirmed. better put that shit on bd.
>>80841716it's black for me toothey're sending them in the comments
Sure wish I could see the fucking video, it's just black.
>>80841780>>80841716>>80841766The video needs flash player. isn't available for my system so can't watch it too...Hope someone records it.
Are Byron and Rich on speed or something?
>>80841780me too. we can hear them at least though.
>>80841851This is what people that made a successful inspired awesome movie look like.
I ant to fuck that bunny so badly
Somebody ask if they want to fuck that bunny.
They just addressed the size of Judy vs the mice and said they were told to compare a real rabbit and a mouse and they were surprised
>Original villain was a female Pig MayorWe animal farm now.
Ayy they're talking about Wilde Times
>5 years to make thisI can't handle this wait for a sequel
>>80842074That included world building and concept and everythingA sequel would probably cut one or two years off of that since they already know what they're working with
>>80842074They may be making it already.
>>80842074>they had to scrap one year of work on the wild times parkshhhhit
>>80842074To be fair, most of it was developing the world, developing the story that go scrapped and then making the final versionNow with most of that laid out, a sequel will take a lot less time to develop
>Miles LongWhat a great porn name.
>>80842164>You can get this Miles Long dick
>>80842164my exact thought
Rich Moore: "I like the bunnies too"
WHY IS IT BLACK
>People really responded to our main characters, Nick and Judy.
