What's the worst thing you can say about Zootopia? For me, it was how mediocre "Try Everything" was and how there was no alternate song. Gazelle seemed like a one hit wonder in her world.
Ending was too rushed, Bellwether calling in ZPD as soon as she shot Nick was dumb, and was only to end the movie.
>>80812279>tfw even if the end was rushed, you still think Zootopia is the best movie of all timePlease tell me I'm not a fanboy...
>>80812408I wouldn't say best movie, but I'm strongly tempted to say best Disney movie of the new millennium
It wasn't done in 2D
>>80812238>too many cliches>lame villain twist a-la Hans and Turbo>bad pacing of the second half of the film>failed attempt to make a tragic background for Nick (IMO)I enjoyed Zootopia, but it will be hated and forgotten by /co/ just like Frozen is right now, like it or not.
>>80812528I don't want to believe it...
>>80812528Except Bellwether had much better motivation than Hans. The only thing Bellwether needed was more menace. And she's cuter
Fathauser. Not enough good species, too many shitty hoof species. Not enough Finnick.Dance party ending.
>>80812581Goddamn that face, it's exactly the same face I've seen in a few adult Thai periodicals.
smoochings hard on a muzzle.
>>80812238>Gazelle seemed like a one hit wonder in her world.MAN, I WONDER WHY
The sex scene felt rushed.Real talk, I second not enough Finnick. I would even ask for a Finnick movie or book spin-off.
>>80812238Bellwether was underdeveloped as a villainNick was underdeveloped as a protagonistThe Nighthowler plot was weird and kinda flimsy in how it all tied togetherFinnick didn't get enough play in the storyGazelle was shoehorned into everything and was more of a set piece than a character
>>80812238I hated how the DMV scene existed only to eat up a ridiculous chunk of Judy's time and keep the pacing franticSpeaking of which, did Judy and Nick really stay up for two-ish days straight?
Can I get a reverse Island of Dr. Moreau where instead of turning them into animals he turns them all into one identical apex species? Is Val Kilmer dead yet?
>>80812238They got Shakira to voice Gazelle instead of Adele or Estelle.
>>80812238I think they should have shown the predator fear getting so bad that Zootopia actually implemented or was about to implement the shock collars. That idea was sorta wasted
>>80812987I actually believe so.
>>80813025I would love to see Bellwether turning into a lionessI wonder if she'd hate it, or go mad with power.
i love nickhes super cute
Okay but what if this was hand animated? Everything is exactly the same, they just did classic hand drawn cel animation for it all.
The ice/tundra neighborhood was right next to the desert neighborhood. Basic laws of thermodynamics means that those really shouldn't be next to each other because they'd give huge wastage trying to compensate for the desert heat transfering to the ice neighborhood. At the very least, ice should be melted near that wall.
>>80812279>>80812812WHERE ARE MY GODDAMN LEMONS, BELLWETHER?!
>>80813116Only if it looks as good as Redline
>>80812581My point is that a "that guy was actually behind all the evil all along" trope is lazy as shit and I hope Disney writers don't utilize it in the future. but they will
>>80813116Wait for the TV series I guess?
Now I can't help but wonder if there were Neanderthanimals who got outpaced by Homo Animalus
>>80812238I actually really like "Try Everything" more now that I've seen the movie. It puts me in this "I'm going to Zootopia!" feeling, and it brings me a little hint of happiness...
>>80812528Zootopia didn't exactly do anything outstandingly new or original, in terms of all of the tropes and cliches. It just did them well.I think it may be benefiting from the FIM Effect in that the commercials make it seem like "LOL WACKY CRAZY ANIMAL WORLD!!" but the actual movie is so much better than that, so it seems really good in comparison to your expectations.
Is this movie worth it? I haven't watched it yet.
>>80813116Apart from it most likely flopping? Not much. It would just be more of a cult film than a huge blockbuster. It would just give Disney another reason to say "this is why we don't do 2D".
>>80813239Yes. God yes. I've seen it 3 times now.
>>80812913ay thats actually pretty funny

>>80813239Go see it, you will never regret it!Especially if you like movies as Ernest & Celestine.
>>80813270Because there's a larger market for figurines and statuettes in japan, compared to america where toys are mostly seen as young childrens' playthings.
>>80813270>those plushiesI WANT THEM
>>80813228This. I gave that show you mentioned a shot because of the creator behind it. I love her works and I'll give anything she does a genuine, honest, chance. Glad I did because it's cute and, for what it is, well done in my opinion. I thought Zootopia might be cute and have a few enjoyable moments, but I was wrong. It was cute and enjoyable the entire time. The story was more mature than I expected which it didn't have to be yet feel it benefited a lot for it. I don't think it'll be forgotten or brushed aside so easy. In of itself it's just a great movie with some really good story elements. People loved the shit out of Frozen and while I liked it I did most certainly hate things like the trolls and the snowman. Zootopia had none of that shit. Not a single thing in the film felt like it didn't belong.
>>80813309>only 200+I have that many in just my "couples" folder.
>>80813239See it in RealD 3D if you can; I've seen it in RealD and IMAX, and RealD was much better.
>>80813239Yes, the worst part of this movie is that it ends, it leaves you empty inside and willing for more, some concepts of the old draft were better anyway and I do agree that Nick was underdevoloped
i want theseI DEMAND THEM.
>>80813303I would be OK with this. More than ok, actually. I fucking love it when cliches are reversed.

>>80812238I really want them to stop the "villain plot-twist" at the end. It was great when King Candy/Turbo did it because he had the menace and threat to back it up. But now its becoming predictable (like Yokai in Big Hero 6) or just out of left field (Hans from Frozen).
>>80813460Because that's who drew it.

>>80813502check out this cute bunny, our new ZPD mascott, move along, Clawhauser!
>>80812238I'm not gonna say that the villain should have had more screen time (since the movie almost %100 follows Judy (Which I like)), but I think some more context clues should have been sprinkled about.

>>80813499Worse than Slugbox. At least Slugshit has some shiny colors trying to fool you into thinking they're a good artist.
>>80813495I'm sure they will probably have a more standard villain in the next movie. If they don't it'll be a serious waste.
>>80813543Would they take this direction with the sequel? Nick fucks up or gets framed and skips town or something then Judy has to find him and clear his name.

>>80813576Well since the villain is going to be singing a song in Moana judging by the twitter post. I'm hoping he/she be a good one harbouring to villains like Ursula, Jafar and Gaston.
The gazelle being named Gazelle not being named Giselle or fucking Mary at least or something. No one else is named by their species. It's like Shakira being named Colombia irl. It was really weird.

>>80812408Taste of course is subjective, but I can easily see this movie as "Best Animated Movie of all Time" to a lot of people. I'll call you a fanboy when an objectively mediocre TV show is made and you love it.
They used the 'animals using modern technology' bit too much. Pretty much every scene had a character holding a smartphone or tablet. It's the same with BoJack Horseman but that show is aimed at adults so it's more acceptable.
>>80812408"Best movie of all time" is pushing it a lot."Best Disney movie in the past 10 years" is more reasonable.
>>80813649I love how sincere he seems to be, like he really loves his job.His voice is also pretty decent ASMR.

>>80813543>Carrots, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by predators. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Hopps? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Clawhauser and you curse the mayor. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know, that Clawhauser's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives! You don't want the truth, because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me on that wall. We use words like "honor", "code", "loyalty". We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to prey that rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it! I would rather you just said "thank you", and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up your badge, and work a hustle. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to!
>>80813303>Nick is constantly teased because he's a by-the-book uptight professional and has none of the savvy and slickness that his species is supposed to have>Judy gets away with murder and is out the door before you realize you got conned by a bunny

>>80813647wait did night howler change eye color? I don't quite remember
>>80813590And they seemed to really drag that explanation out, too. All we needed was a quick shot of Bellweather opening up the gun to see blueberries and then look back at Nick holding the pellet while Judy grins and says "It's called a hustle, sweetheart." A couple of seconds, ten at tops.
It was just alright. It followed tropes well but did most of them adequately.Zooptopia just seems like a regular decent movie. How long are these threads going to last?
>>80813840No, it just makes their eyes sorta glow

>>80813954It's features a style of cartoon that is barely tolerated on /co/, especially with how fan artists use it, is a disney movie, and already has several calls for fanfictions from the threads. It's gotten to this point faster than the frozen generals did. Stamping out anything that looks like a general is a good thing in my book.
>>80814020Thats, uh, actually a little creepyKinda uncanny valley
>>80814038>several calls for fanfictionsLists of authors and artists have already been made, so it's even worse than that.

>>80814005>I'll have another 4000 Screencaps for every frame Judy appearsGotta steel myself for this one.
>>80813954/frz/ was overloaded with incest lesbian art and fics that it broke /co/'s mind. Zootopia threads are about discussing the movie and filled with cute Judy X Nick art and fics, also a surprising lack of porn.
>>80814088I got youno homo tho
>>80812238I feel like it couldn't really figure out what it was supposed to be about. It really didn't break from the western animation trope of needing to teach a lesson but it had like 3-4 lessons and I'm not really sure what the take-away was supposed to be by the end. Don't stereotype? Follow your dreams? Equality means equality for everyone?
>>80813681I do like that they were using touch pads instead of mice. You know, for obvious reasons.
>>80814129a little homo tho
>>80814117The same was true of /frz/ at the beginning, that it was all about movie discussion and art and fics. You're comparing the ending of a general's time here to the beginning of one and assuming that the latter will stay just as relevant and useful.

>>80813239Well, I want to see it for a third time even dubbed. So that should tell you something
>>80814168Here's hoping the bluray features bonus content about the scraped original script/animation
>>80814134"Anyone can be anything" means people besides you. It's nice to see it as an uplifting message but it's not necessarily personal, and if you're like Judy who thinks that she gets to break social barriers but predators can't then you're being an unfair hypocrite.Follow your dreams, yeah, but that's kind of a given.
>>80813239I'm really considering heading to the movies instead of waiting for a torrent at this point.
I remember how bummed /co/ was when we found out that focus was taken from Nick to Judy in the rewrites. I'm still of that sentiment. With what had since been revealed about the older drafts, the Zootopia we got was pretty cheap and vanilla. The older one seemed to have more of a realistic approach to social issues regarding anthropomorphic animals living together. Predators would have shock collars and there was more focus on the divided environments. It would've been neat to see a struggle of the animals *obtain* a peaceful status quo rather than *maintain*.The Zootopia we actually got felt more like a sequel. The remnants of that initial draft was only in the third act with Nick and Judy's conflict after the press conference, so no wonder it felt like a cheap tack-on.But we still got something OK, I guess.
>>80813888You want to tell the newfags what /frz/ is? Was it that short-lived furry board?
>>80814210I learned to follow my dreams and fuck a fox
>>80814134Why not all of those? There was enough in the movie to communicate all of them them. They don't have to pick only one to nail home super hard.
>>80814238If I'm not mistaken it was the Frozen general
>>80814157Frozen was also in theaters for like 8 monthsZootopia has been out for less than one month and almost certainly wont stay out that long
>>80814234If they adapted the original version into a book, would you read it?
Gazelle in general seemed forced, like they really wanted to have her in there for some reason.
>>80814226Do it! Help it beat Minions.
>>80812238I cringed when Gazelle showed up as a good-guy activist and even made a whole speech about it that helped Judy realize shitIn the theater i went like "thank God Shakira's here to save the day!"I didn't mind the song, but it was weird to me to give any sort of further relevance to the glorified celebrity cameoOther than that i think shit went too fast after the revelation of the villain, but that one is understandable considering the movie's pretty long for an animated Disney feature
>>80814129This goes straight into my reference folder. Thanks, __bro!
>>80814262I didn't knew mods made assumptions.
>Shakira had no reason to exist in the movie>The whole third act is mehFrom the blueberries to Bellwether twist everything once Nick leaves feels rushed. Only thing enjoyed after that was the train scene with the Breaking Baaaaaad sheep.
>>80814238/frz/ was the Frozen General. At the start they discussed the movie, talking about things that happened in it, compared it to the older ideas of the movie, discusssed the character development and so on.Then about two months after it came out it was all about lesbians and r9k posters wishing a character that had five minutes of screen time was real. And then it continued on four six more months.
>>80814278Not that anon, but yes. It might do better as a book because then it wouldn't need to conform to modern Disney's style that involves touching on serious issues but not fully exploring them out of fear of alienating children and families.
>>80814210That's actually a very neutral message. Anyone can be a monster. Anyone can be a hero. It's almost a non-statement but it speaks to the chaos of our "messy" world.
>>80814210Yeah that's true. That kind covers everything.
>>80814234I'd say the opposite of pretty much all of that. Shock collars wouldn't really be realistic because that's not even close to how prejudice is today.Prejudice is really undertone and subtle today, and very few people are blunt about it.It's not about them being animals that makes them prejudice, it's mainly about how they used to be.
>>80814313>wishing a character that had five minutes of screen timeWhich character was this?I can't think of any character in the movie that was only onscreen for five minutes besides the background servants or the snow golem.
>>80813888>irrationalLook at the archives and look at the catalog. /zt/ is already at the foundation of /frz/. If these threads keep following a consistent rate by the end of this month, then something will need to be done.
>>80813666Trunorth on FAHe's a fantastic artist
>>80814317why is she asian?
>>80814278I'd like a graphic novel instead.
>>80814371It's hardly edgy to look for reasons that predators would be able to tamp down their predatory instincts. The movie entirely glossed over how predators and prey came to actually coexist beyond "well we decided to be friends!" while shock collars would provide a real means of keeping violence in check.

>>80814466Maybe that's fucking subjective as fuck, but why bad movies get more success in the Box Office than good movies?
>>80814500No, but in a universe where they show us that animals used to be just like they are in the real world, it helps to understand how they got from animal-like to sapient. If they'd gotten rid of that school play at the beginning and just established that there are prejudices that exist concerning predator and prey relations then you wouldn't need an explanation.
>>80814522I think it's a mix of advertisement and people that don't look into things before they see a movie.

>>80814602It introduced the issue and then completely glossed over it. That's what made it annoying instead of interesting. If you're not going to adequately explain something then just assume its presence.
>>80814522There is a type of inhuman beast who lurks inside of the media called a "marketing exec", and as evil as they are they can be really good at their job. And sometimes their job is to push a movie. Most of the time that movie is bad.At least Zootopia is a definite success. Less-successful movies from disney have had sequels and series.

>>80814522Zootopia will beat minions by a landslide, just wait it gets in the uk and JAPAN...
>>80814632So...go see it...?
>>80814355But prejudice amongst various subspecies is not the same as prejudice amongst predators and prey. Movies like The Fox and the Hound and The Land Before Time understood this. If you're going to make a movie about natural life struggles involving cartoon animals, you should at least put the associated characters on the same levels of the food chain. And movies like Robin Hood, Kung Fu Panda, Jungle Book, and The Lion King got away with it because their focuses were on other subjects. However, in Zootopia's case, when your message of social acceptance is made through a natural circle of life that the world strives on, then your message falls flat.
Why is Judy so much easier to draw then Nick?
>>80814672because you're drawing Nick wrong.

>>80812528Nick's back story worked way better than Judy's to me.
>>80813116As >>80813253 said it would have a very devoted fandom but it would be a financial dud for Disney. The unfortunate fact of the matter with animation is that you have to sometimes make compromises in order to get the movie made, because animation is expensive and needs to have very broad appeal. That's not even the case with Zootopia, though. Byron Howard has worked on several CG films and the goal with Zootopia was always to have it be 3D. The initial outset of the project was that Howard wanted to make a new Disney movie in the vein of other animal-heavy films like The Jungle Book, Robin Hood and The Lion King but with modern animation technology. It's not like he and the team pitched Zootopia as a 2D film and then Disney made them switch it over to 3D.If 2D Zootopia is really what you want to see though, look on the bright side: the movie is making so much money that it's pretty much guaranteed to get a TV show, and odds are that the TV show will be 2D. Seeing as Duck Tales is getting a reboot, we might actually see a return to form of the classic 80s-90s golden era of Disney TV cartoons. Zootopia could easily fit into that category since the characters already translate perfectly into 2D and most of the major design work is already taken care of.

>>80814867>It's autistic to not want loose ends in a movie? What loose ends? Your "loose ends" are non-factors to the actual movie
>>80814867I'm not the guy you've been talking to but, it's not a loose end its just unexplained. Just make up some head canon and believe really hard. Like the guy who said they must have nuclear fusion in order to power all this shit. And people who don't see Judy and Nick as together, you just have to believe really hard.
>>80814234They showed the test footage and explained the plot they had originally to some pixar people, and the consensus was that Nick's cynical outlook and the dark tone of everything made idea of 'obtaining peace' unrealistic. They would rather have had Nick escape the city because the movie made it out to be beyond saving. Personally, I think they were right, and the changes they made worked to make a much better film.Plus, the thing with the shock collars wasn't well thought out though, at least from what I've seen. Does every predator everywhere have to wear collars, or is it just in Zootopia? If it's everywhere, how on earth could Nick and Judy go about changing the entire world's view. If it's only in Zootopia, then why would predator's eve live there? Also, does that mean predator's just go savage at certain times every where else in the world? What kind of massage does that send, that you can't ignore what you are and that you have no control over it? If they aren't and savagery is just a myth, then wouldn't the fact that there are no incidents of savagery be proof enough that shock collars are unnecessary? The bleak, cynical film wouldn't work to have the kind of ending they wanted, and would have made for an unsatisfying film and might even have ruined the chemistry between Nick and Judy, which is arguably the best thing about the final version.I think the movie we got is more satisfying in its conclusion, more air tight in its setting, and overall more enjoyable.

>>80814886It's cheating to put Judy's mouth on Bellwether's face.
My biggest gripe in the movie was the old tale of young person leaves the farm to go to the big city. That hasn't been relevant since the early 20th century. Most people are born and raised now in an urban or suburban environment(at least in first world nations). That and I get tired of the farmers are stupid hicks trope. There are plenty that are, but most of them are actually very in touch when it comes to economics and what's going on in the world because it directly effects their business. They're not sheltered shut ins.But that just goes back to the old trope I mentioned before.Other than that really loved the movie.
>>80814867>"We used to be enemies, and now we're not!" I think you don't know what "raising the question" means. The movie tells you what happened and how they are now. You are given all the important information for the movie right there. The question would be raised by the movie if someone in the movie ever asked how it happened, which no one does. It would only be a loose end if knowing how they stopped being enemies was important to the plot, which it isn't.the backstory isn't "sacrificed" for children, it is simply not important in any way. Adults have this terrible idea that everything has to be a realistic representation of things when is doesn't.

>>80814934The movie is about how social creatures must deal with prejudices that stem from biological differences in order to maintain a society. Plop people right down into that without any "it used to be like our world but now it's not" and you can accept its differences and not compare it to our world and see the gap between our animals and their animals as an issue. No, it's not a movie-breaking issue. Yes, it's annoying and it sullies some of the immersion because of it and since it's unnecessary it should not have been that way.>>80815005So if it's not important then leave it out. Entirely.

>>80812238Honestly the worst thing I can say about the movie is how inorganic the moral lessons can be. It's like there will be 10-15 minutes of really funny gags or jokes, and then 5 minutes of someone being racist, and then 10 minutes of character development. It's a small gripe though, maybe 10% of the movie was dedicated to prejudice.
>>80815009The same way you draw everything else: lots of practice and references.
>>80814946Couldn't agree more, as cool as the gritty noir-esq plot and setting of the early drafts would've been, we undoubtedly got the better film. Nick and judy's chemistry is some of the most natural writing I've seen in years, other studios should take note.
>>80815053The how became important because they introduced the history of prey and predators as being animal-like until they suddenly stopped.Get rid of that and just have a scene where they talk about Zootopia as a technological and social marvel. >>80813179It is unfortunately a bit of an oversimplifications of things-- in real life, intersectional tensions are more often than not the result of very complex ongoing issues, and there's almost never a single rabble rouser who the responsibility can be pinned on. It can be presumed that predator-on-prey violence was already a thing in the city since predators are generally stronger and faster than prey, however the movie never really drove it as a point that it was a serious problem. In general the city seems pretty clean and financially successful, and hasn't been shown to have fallen victim to urban decay in any significant way.Bellwether's reasons for hating prey seemed to be personal because of the way predators like Mayor Lionheart treats her, always pushing her around. She wanted to make everyone hate predators as much as she does, so she created a conspiracy and committed what is essentially bio terrorism against the city. We can infer that she created the conflict rather than simply capitalizing on one that was already in progress, which for a kids' movie is fine although it's an oversimplification of where these things really start.

As a police officer, and a run of the mill one, not an investigator, Judy can only emphasize that the force is doing what they can, that panic is bad, and that anything else is not something she has any right to go talking about while wearing a uniform and representing the force. That conference was an utter disaster.

Yes, he was the supposed good guy hiding behind a (literal) mask, but his reasoning is understandable and he's warring more with the man he deems responsible for his daughter's death rather than the heroes. They're just the ones who oppose him. And he didn't want power, just revenge.
>>80815770His parents were less sympathetic than they seem, basically disowning him because he's a freak sickly albino. His only friends were the wolf servants, and he was the only one in the family that was actually nice to them, so when Shen was exiled, the wolves defected to his side.
>>80815641Is that the "Mayor Lionheart is gonna be just JAZZED!" scene? Still gotta see this movie...
The press conference scene worked out well. I can see where you would argue Nick is overreacting to Judy precisely because while she's talking, he's noticing the reactions of the press and realizing she's in over her head. Judy has no clue what she got herself into by just being generally ignorant(which isn't the same as maliciously ignorant). So yeah, Nick does overreact...but that's the point. Nick didn't didn't properly give Judy the benefit of a doubt with what she was saying and Judy was insensitive to Nick's background when she was talking "in general" to the press. In other words, a very common instance of miscommunication.

>>80815687It depends. It's possible that Mayor Lionheart was the last straw for her, but it's also possible that she had been conspiring against predators for many years and saw being Lionheart's assistant mayor as the perfect opportunity to further her plan. We really don't know why Bellwether hates predators, because that was the big plot twistand thus they don't have time to go deep into it. We can only really speculate that she was tired of getting stepped on by predators like Lionheart her whole life and blew her lid, or that she simply has an innate lust for power and could care less whether or not the predators actually deserve to be turned into second-class citizens.
>>80812238Not enough porn.
>>80815770In the movie, his backstory really wasn't explained very much, just that he started experimenting with the "dark powers" of fireworks and such. The writers explained that originally, Shen's parents hated him and thought of him as weak and sickly, because he was albino. It was also said that the parents didn't treat the wolves very well, while Shen did, so that's why they're allied with him.But yeah, they cut most of that out, because they didn't want the audience sympathizing with a genocidal maniac.
>>80815842I don't understand. Why are you in a thread about a movie if you haven't watched the movie?
we will never see how deep Judy's rabbit hole go...
>>80815914The only issue I have with this is that I don't see the wolves as being Shen's comrades at all, just his servants. It would work better if they simply thought that the wolves were just as useless and full of freaks as their son was, so Shen allied with them not out of compassion but as more of a fuck you to his parents by turning those freaks into a powerful army.
>>80815611I thought the story was strung together nicely. It doesn't feel like a single character was wasted because the story used them all so nicely. Judy's character arc is one of the most original in animation as a whole. The movie is bookended in a very cool way.

After the heart-to-heart they had on the cable car, it sounded as if Judy had learned absolutely nothing from her time with him.
>>80816036Yes, she's inexperienced, which is why she took sides by talking shit about predators. >>80816232>Not to mention the images of all the predators being cuffed and muzzled, I'm sure that didn't help things, thinking that if he did go savage, Judy would muzzle him as well. They both had traumatic childhood flashbacks during that scene, but especially Nick. Judy went for the fox spray because for a moment Nick reminded her of Gideon the day that he scratched her face, although arguably Nick's ordeal with the scouts was a lot more tragic because no-one was there to pick him up and make him feel better afterwards, like what Judy had with her friends.Nick didn't have any friends and that's why he wanted to join the scouts in the first place, and he might not have even told his own mother what they did to him because he didn't want her to be disappointed. Seeing all those other predators having muzzles slapped on them was too much for him, and the look he gave Judy was too much for her.

So was the elephant lady at the naturalist club paid off by Dawn/Doug? Seemed awfully suspicious that she didn't seem to know anything about someone that had been attending her yoga class for years.>"it's a joke that she has bad memory despite being an elephant!"That's what one would assume, but it's more the way that she dismisses every claim so shortly and repeatedly denies any knowledge about Emett. >>80819795>>80819840It wasn't a tense moment, it was an emotionally intimate moment. Whether Judy was going to hug him or kiss him, Nick either wasn't ready for it or he was worried that Judy was moving too fast due to all the excitement moments earlier, and was worried they'd both end up feeling embarrassed if he let her go through with it.
>>80819828Because motion blur exists. Also, you'd need the render farms to run for twice as long and no one wants to pay for that.
>>80819903>Theres no real reason not to either.it costs more to make. why would you spend more money for something that won't increase your profit in any way?
>>80818980I would say Ratatouille, Up and Wall-E.
>>80819945boy you're really set on Judy wanting to fuck him right there in the tram aren't you?also> it was an emotionally intimate moment> Nick, like most people, are uncomfortable with emotional situationsderpa der
>>80819953Caring about the art? Or just liking how 60fps looks?
>>80819828Frames take machine days to render. Double or triple the fps and suddenly you're looking at years and years of just rendering.Look at me pretending to know what I'm talking about.Maybe one day 60 fps will be the standard. But today is not that day.
>>80817223I want a fanfic of this scenario where the noises they produce are fun and fake at first, but as they get more and more into it they get touchyfeely then it snowballs from there.
>>80819989You think it matters what you want when it comes to costs? 60fps isn't needed for the project, so there's no reason to do it. Maybe when you're shelling out millions of dollars to make your movie you can make them render it out to sixty frames.
>>80820001>Starts out with them just pretending>"Wait, why aren't we having sex?">"I dunno."
>>80820014You could say that about many things in movies honestly. And I somehow don't think it costs millions just to double the fps of the movie. It costs extra, sure, but its not like a crippling cost. If the director really wanted 60 fps, they could probably get it if it wasn't like one of their first projects ever.
>>80820079So you don't know anything about making a 3D movie then.
>>80819987I don't think she would have fucked him but she would have done something that could either potentially be interpreted as romantic. or something that was outright romantic. She was either ready to give Nick a long hug, or a kiss. There's no telling when a girl is coming down from an adrenaline rush, but she was definitely moving closer for something before Nick shot her down.
>>80820137shut up you retard we've been over this, take off your shipping goggles
>>80820014plus if The Hobbit is anything to go off then HFR screenings wouldn't be too popular anyway
>>80817972because tunnelsnakes rule
>>80820164Yeah, you take it for granted if you play a lot of vidya but your eyes need to get used to looking at 60 FPS.
Judy's best outfit is the one she's wearing when she first goes to Zootopia.Fight me.
>>80820160I've seen the movie multiple times. Judy was definitely transitioning towards doing something that made Nick uncomfortable. The space between them was closing and she was practically whispering to him when Nick finally broke things off with a joke.
>>80819828Because anything that's not a video game looks like fucking shit when run at 60fps. Also, too many frames for the eye to process per second = a literal headache for some people.
How would their relationship work in the interim between the first movie and eventual romance of the second? My headcanon is>Judy is single minded her her career and is mostly oblivious of her own feelings or Nicks feelings for her>Nick likes her but plays it cool most of the time because of his own insecurities and is basically tsundere
>>80820223but 60 fps looks really nice
>>80820233It's pretty cute. Her black undershirt really strikes at something inside me.
>>80820245She was assuring him that she didn't think he was a wuss or anything you idiot. There was no intention of anything physical at all, it's all in your inept head.
dont forget to create a thread with the word zootopia in it? kay?
>>80820253I could dig that. Then maybe she takes him to see her family at some point and her parents totally see it going on and warn her its a bad idea. And thats when she herself sees it.
>>80820282Naw, Nick was right on the edge of getting bunny pussy. He was taken by surprise which is why he put a stop to it, they also didn't have the time to spare.
>>80819996These days, movies do not take anywhere near "years" to render.Especially for the insanely-wealthy Disney. They can easily afford tons of really fucking powerful computers for render farms.
>>80820245Though I agree Nick did intentionally end the moment, Judy was just trying to comfort him after he opened up to her. I ship them hard, but in that scene there was nothing really romantic about what she was trying to do.
