If you could change one thing about Zootopia, what would it be?
>>80779792The ending felt a bit rushed, so add like half an hour to it I guess.
>>80779792Turn everyone into humans.
Credits start rolling after that part where Nick bites Judy's neck.
>>80779792I think it was perfect as is. Granted I really do want to see Judy and Nick end up together but I'd rather that be touched on in a sequel and fleshed out properly. Oh and I felt Gazelles name lacked any thought. I mean a lot of names were sort of lazy. Otterton, Weazelton, Lionheart, but Gazelle's is just plain ol' Gazelle. Speaking of Zootopia I've an idea in my head for a little story that happens after the movie but I'm not a writer. Should I just forget about it or try typing it out and see how badly I get ridiculed for it on an anonymous image board?
>>80779792Not much, there's a lot if like to see out of the world though. The other districts, a car chase, and badass cop stuff with Nick and Judy to name a few.
More time with Bellwether. More time trying to learn her motivations. A slower response time from the ZPD.
>>80779939You're anonymous. What's to lose?
>>80779857It was already about an hour and 45 minutes long. How many Disney movies go past the two hour mark?
Take out pigs and sheep since domestic animals supposedly don't exist in that universe
>>80779939Type it out for sure. But beware, some of the mods don't like fics getting posted in these threadsSo for best results, don't post in a fast moving thread I guess
>>80780091Not even as a pastebin link or something?
>Fear ALWAYS worksWhat did she mean by this?
>>80780028I do feel like climax could have been a little longer, though I dunno how unless we just saw more of the museum.
>>80780028idk dude this is the first movie i've seen in like two hundred years
>>80779939I think it's her stage name. Maybe there's an aesthetic movement associated with the naturalists. No clothes, no names, just pure animal roots. But no meat eating, unless both parties are into that.
>>80779792Flesh out Bellweather a bit. She had a shitty job, but lots of people do. She was still one of the most powerful people in the city. Hell, if she either didn't officially put Judy on the case/let her use the traffic cams or quit as soon as Lionheart was arrested, she would have won.I've also been thinking about writing a fan work until the sequel comes out. Something to do with Zootopia's nocturnal denizens.
>>80780113As far as motivating large masses of people goes, fear usually gets a strong reaction quickly.
I'd give the cops and Judy guns. Even if they never fire them, I'd feel this would make the world feel just a bit more real. Also maybe make the movie 10 mins longer to flesh out Bellwether just a bit more
>>80780108A pastebin might get by, definitely not a FFnet link.
>>80780064That is a good point.
There is nothing better than an aggressive short girl.prove me wrong.
>>80779792More Finnick, more exploration of the city.>>80779857>>80779981This really. Cannot help but feel like the climax was very underwhelming and a bit rushed..
>>80780170Well they have tasersJudy didn't for the movie since she didn't have access to police resources, but apparently in one of the picture books that takes place after the movie, she has a taser
>>80779902Then what will be the conflict?
>>80780205>There is nothing better than an aggressive short girl.Except agressive short girl with strong thighs.
>>80780170Honestly even without guns it felt rather real in the sense that normal things like death scare them. I mean we see characters in Disney movies die before. Bambi's mom, Mufasa, so death isn't foreign. Them mentioning it a lot however is. The drill sergeant at the start says it about a dozen times, Nick asks Judy if she's afraid he'll eat her, Judy and Bellwether mention it at the end when she darts Nick. I bet they didn't have real guns because they wanted the main dangerous thing in their world to be... the animals themselves. The predators could overpower many of the smaller animals easy, herbivores like Bogo could tear the shit out of almost anybody outside of maybe Elephants and other very large animals. The danger is already there in a way, but in another it isn't. Because they're all like any normal person in our world: Just trying to get by without much hassel, get home, relax, and try to be happy.
>>80780113She's a politician. She isn't just a random secretary Lionheart promoted to assistant mayor for the sheep vote, she has been playing her cards right who whole career. Fear is what she used to get the sheep on her side and keep them loyal and she knew that she could use it to control Zootopia. Fear made her who she is and fear gets her what she wants.
>>80780205An aggressive short boy Yes, I know he is much more older than he looks.
>>80780257Same thing but with different races religions and other things of that sort
>>80779988As you wish
>>80780322>he looks three years old but he's actually 41!>veterinarians hate him!
>>80780322i lost the picture of him listening to musiccan you help?
>>80779792Reverse the changes back to Nick being the main character and bring back the shock collars.
As much as I hate being a shipperfag, I really wished there were something more between these two. The chemistry between them is way to good to ignore. The writers tried to make their relationship platonic, but I couldn't really see it.
>>80780386I have saved that from the webm anon, but thanks.
>>80780205>>80780288Can confirm. My ex-girlfriend was 5'0" high test beauty and used to play soccer. 34DDD, huge thighs, and pretty bright blue eyes. Best of all, she pursued me for some odd reason. I'll never forget when she was showing off her Halloween costume (Kim Possible) to me and she took off her pants and was wearing some spandex shorts underneath. Since I'm an autist, I didn't get the hint until a few weeks later when she came into my room at night and basically sat on my face.
>>80780390>ars old but he's actually 41!>>veterinarians hate him!top kek.
Not make the fucking bunny hot pants padme for the fox
>>80780397I don't have it.
>>80780406There are all sorts of little nods hinting towards a future relationship, I think it's the writers covering all the bases for sequel material.
>>80780406>The writers tried to make their relationship platonicYou haven't seen their Spotify playlists, have you. If anything, they were just trying to set it up so the two of them getting together is a supremely satisfying conclusion instead of just a standard Disney Male/Female lead pairing.
>>80780319To add to this, the sheep have been largely fearful/hateful to foxes in particular. Nick implies that they always avoid him. "They never let me get this close."
>>80780406I don't think it's so much that they wanted it to stay or just be platonic, but that they wanted the characters to be natural. Normal people just don't instantly want to marry someone who seems interesting. Nick and Judy dislike each other at first and actually get to know one another quite a bit as the movie goes on. They have a genuine reason to be stuck together and to interact. Now in the sequel if they aren't a couple, get married, or at least have a really cute little kiss scene at the end where Judy just tackles him and nearly makes out with him, I'll be pissed. The chemistry was way too good and Judy already cried her eyes out thinking she'd never have Nick in her life again. >>80780399This really shouldn't look sexy.
>>80780487That image pleases me
>>80780423>exYou blew your chances to have a pregnant high test waifu.
>>80780113"What did he/she mean by this" is a cancerous /tv/ meme. You'd be well served to add it to your filter list.
>>80779981Thirded. Would have helped if she spoke about her getting bullied in the past by preds and how even as she got older she just got bullied more and more to the point that when she was in government office, she was still getting bullied by preds to the point that she was warped into thinking they were all bad
>>80779792Id have maybe added a good four or five minutes. Just for additional scenes involving Mayor Lionheart and bellwether. Set the stage for the coup besides the obvious 'she has to deal with his bullshit'
Nice shot, Carrots.
>>80780534>Sheep>Not LizardsThey blew it.
>yfw he spoke.
>>80780628i fucking died
>>80780567Thanks, it's freshly made.
Was nick lying about his scams ?There's only so many elephant ice cream shops in the city, and where is all the money going ?
>>80780437>At the end of the movie>Nick: You know you love me>Judy: Do I know that? Yes. Yes I do>Whole theater has a moment of awkward silence.Lol it was almost like two friends are flirting publicly in the open and makes everyone uncomfortable. I swear I don't feel the "platonic" feel.
>>80780646Thanks for the dank memes
>>80779792I wanted Judy to get affected by the drug (not in the same setting or situation as the end of the movie) and Nick having to do some sleuthwork on his own to find a way to cure her WITHOUT resorting to any sort of "love conquers all, just hug her and she snaps out of it" quick fix.
>>80780399That setting was horrifying. It's good they dropped it.
>>80780649He never said they were all the same scam. I'd wager he's got all sorts of things lined up, the pawpsicle one being the one we see most especially with him eating one at the end. >>80780658I don't feel it's platonic either but I don't want to get my hopes up at the same time. Mainly because it feels like every time I like or hope something happens in various forms of media that I enjoy, it doesn't happen or is done poorly.
>>80780234>>80780170Tasers and Tranq guns are in the basic cop arsenal. And according to the artbook, Judy wells Kevlar and bigger officers wear metal plates for defense against guns. I am sure the SWAT team equivalent or heavy security uses legit firearms.
>>80780649He's smart. I'm sure he's got a different scam for every day of the week.
>>80780628>mfw "SHE HUSTLED YOU GOOD!"

>>80780737Swatbun a qt
>>80780628It was deeper than I expected. Also, thought for a while it was just a kid, until you fucks ruined it for me.>>80780555>tfw you get touched the right way>>80780649I kept wondering about that.
Show off more of the city.I would take a 5 minute short of Judy and Nick stopping a crime on a regular day at this point, just so we can see more of Zootopia.
how to draw finnick?
>>80780774I didn't pay attention to these people before, but I fucking love Glenn and Byron now.
>>80780840This. Just start showing Zootopia shorts like Pixar shows Toy Story shorts and we're good.Show other parts of the city, how stuff works, etc.
>>80780866Draw earsDraw the rest of the fucking finnick
>>80780720Yeah. I was trying to think about how the commercials would go and it's like every scene with a predator would remind the audience that these fun little animated characters are actually violently oppressed and enjoy a lower quality of life due to living in a world of prejudice. I was thinking there'd be a montage set to Danger! High Voltage that shows how many times Nick, Clawhauser, and Honey get shocked during the course of the movie. Fun for the whole family!
I would have liked it if they integrated more of the original story into the released version's like having a nightmare sequence with the shock collars, and getting to now Nick more
>>80779857>>80780028I don't know about a whole half hour myself.Probably more like five to fifteen more minutes so we can dedicate a bit more time to development of other characters and maybe just an extra minute or two to it at most.
>>80780882Well it seems likely we will get at least one short in the future, which would probably just be them solving a crime. I'd be surprised if they didn't try to show off a place in Zootopia we haven't seen yet
>>80780905Bogo mentions SWAT near the end of the movie
>>80780837Full version of that gifFor some reason tumblr users like to cut even the shortest clips into multiple gifs, it's kind of a hassle
What boards could exist on Zootopia's 4chan?
>>80780905>Clawhauser with the shock collar on the left.God that looks sad.
> tfw Ed Ed and Eddy like series with nick, fennek and flash respectively always causing trouble with their scams
Have Nick go savage for real at the end
>>80780980How did people even find this gif in the first place? Just how far in development did they get with the original script?
>>80780994"gbt >>>/trash/ you fuckin' humie scum"
I'd probably tone down Judy's character. She doesn't have much growth up until 3/4th of the way through the movie when she turns out to be a flagrant racistAlso Nick actually harming her when shot.
>unrelatedPeople making "zoosonas" but claiming they arn't furries
>>80781027>waitress on the far rightWow, so Bellwether really is an exception. Must be hard being some kind of mutant freak.
>>80780994no human-fuckers allowed
>>80779792The scene when Nick walks out of the room after he argues with Judy.
>>80781021There was a small making of feature on disney channel, and this was in it.Its the only animation we've actually seen from the original script though. All the other work they did on it has not been released and may never be sadly.I'm just holding out hope they show more in the BD release
>>80781061Around here, nobody condones those people. Any talk of "zoosonas" are just ridiculed>>80781034>I'd probably tone down Judy's character.Judy's entire character works because of how energetic she is
Just look at him
>>80781027Holly shit, It's that scene from Blacksad all over again. The one in a scalie bar.
>>80780994You got the basics: /a/, /b/, /v/, /co/, etcMaybe /pd/ for a predator board and /pr/ for prey./lil/ for little animals, /big/ for big ones. /pol/ would be a hotspot for sheep blaming the preds for everything, shit like that. And probably more sub-boards beyond that. Ape-fuckers are in /trash/, etc.>>80781027Did the artist for Blacksad draw this? Really reminds me of his work.
>>80780714ThisssssssIf she went crazy. Also Nick felt useless to me desu. He was constantly being one upped/outsmarted by Judy
>>80780905It would have been nice to see Clawhauser an Bogo out of uniform at the concert. It didn't make much sense for them to be together like that.
>>80781080I honestly don't get the appeallike, no fur? No scales? Just. . .leather? If I find out my child has anything human on his pc I am disowning him>anyone have that comic where a fox mom walks in on her son while jacking it to human porn?
I'm just gonna watch Arrested Development again to distract me from my growing obsession of Zootopia
>>80781101Yeah, that's been the consensus for why she and Frufru have humanoid eyes while their peers don't.But even then, she's a like a midget or a dwarf among her people. Makes you wonder if she's actually a mutant hybrid who's embarrassed by her freakish mixed species background, and this whole incident was her overcompensating for her self-loathing.yfw her father is a tiger named Victor Creed

>>80781081Damn, this is an old ass meme right here
>>80781164Why a flail? That's so barbaric.
>>80780423>exYou fucked up, anon.
Be honest, /co/.After seeing this movie you started to delete (very weird) porn to collect karma points for having a chance of meeting your Zootopia waifu/husbando in this or the afterlife.
>>80780840is this concept art? where did you get it?
>>80781173Mr. Big also had somewhat bigger eyes than most the rest of the shrews at the dance, he just didn't open his eyes wide enough to have them noticed more than once or twice.
>>80780840Are they in Orgimmar or something?
>>80781264No, because I have a non-zootopia waifu.
>>80781027It looks like sheep are stuck in 1950-60s midwest America.Which would also explain why Bellwether loves Fleece(Grease), and wears a pompadour. They must look gang/biker culture.
>>80781264No. But I'm drawing less weird porn and am trying to draw more legit stuff to maybe one day work for a company like Disney instead of serving tables for a living.
>>80781101>>80781173The black sheep in the prologue had normal eyes instead of sheep eyes too. Also you can barely see Mr. Big's eyes on one shot. He clearly has the same as his daughter's.
>>80780840Good god this film looked gorgeous. Is there an art book out yet?

>>80781117Judy saved his life three times in ten minutes, which is a bit much. He got his own back when he kept her from losing her badge and then remembered the traffic cameras right after that, though. For equity's sake he probably should have saved her when they jumped from the train, but no, they jumped separately.
>>80781334This is from the art book, kindle edition that released... today. around $17 on Amazon.I have a physical version on the way and im just taking screenshots from my shitty phone.

>>80781334The book is in a state of being a bit rare and/or sold out, but someone a couple threads ago (>>80773205) mentioned the Kindle version having some really compressed pages.
>>80781358I though part of the joke is that the joke itself was putting you in judy's shoes in the context of the scene
>>80781412Speaking of fighting couples, Judy's neighbors. Think we'll ever know for sure? It's cool that regardless of them being a couple or not, we know that animals fuck outside their own species.
>>80781375>>80781117speaking of the train, he WAS the one who actually got the case breaking evidence while Judy was the one who insisted on trying the bring the whole lab with them.Huh, sounds almost like Judy is a Tabletop RPG PC.>"Nick has found the case with the gun and the pellet.">"Hmmm. No, I want to bring the whole lab with us.">"... What?">"It's an old train car, right? We can get it moving.">"Judy, the sheep guys are right outside, and neither of us have Mechanical skill proficiency.">"It's cool, we'll just make an untrained roll. I'm specced for combat anyway, I could probably take the sheep dudes if we need to.">"UIgh, fine, roll... Natural 20. Confirmed with another 20... Alright, so the train gets moving.""
>>80781191I like the fact that Ice was a term used for killing in this movie. When the shrew said "Ice em!"
>>80781312Yeah, I've seen that in the concept art. Don't recall him opening them much during the film.Honestly, I get why they gave Dawn human eyes; so that the audience trusts her and identifies with her, so that way we don't see the twist coming (even though we did). Real sheep eyes would make her look weird and sinister.Frufru, however, I think would have been fine with little black eyes, as it would still make her endearing, as the audience would associate her with a toy or a doll. It's kinda fun to think of how natural eyes would affect they way you view a character. Nick would be more untrustworthy with regular fox eyes, for example.
>>80781478Dawn was all over the place in this chart
>>80781478The problem is that predators aren't inherently aggressive. They're just dicks who discriminate, and keep all the nice positions for themselves.
>>80781478"... to save billions... of sheep."With the company she kept and her methods, it was questionable if she really cares about all prey equally.
>>80781326>The black sheep in the prologue had normal eyes instead of sheep eyes too.You know, you're absolutely right. Forgot about that one.
>>80781491Reviewers are saying the same thing.

>>80781264what the fuck?

>>80781478Aku is mid or high tier
>>80781474>yfw Byron browses 4chan.maybe he'll tell me how to draw Finnick...
>>80781537>Nick would be more untrustworthy with regular fox eyes, for example.I almost think that's all the more reason he should have had regular fox eyes. The AUDIENCE trusts him less, and when his whole backstory comes to light and the whole press conference, we start to realize we ourselves were judging Nick the same way he hated, based solely on his appearance and race.As a side note, I'm starting to headcanon maybe "human eyes vs. animal eyes" is some kind of mutation that's been cropping up in the Zootopia-verse in the last thousand or so years and has become increasingly common to the point of dominance, but many still possess animal eyes too.

>>80781701legally they can't do that, even if we explicitly note Disney is free to.>Better fanfics actually result in them having to cut their best material from the movie for fear of lawsuits
>>80780357So instead of being a subverted propaganda piece you want it to be a liberal agenda jerk fest that no one but the most Tumblr of retards would watch it

>>80781829I'd assume most fanfiction would fall under Fair Use, so long as you're not making money off of it or anything.so yes, if you were able to prove that Disney plagiarized your writing, you'd have legal grounds. But since it's Disney, they'd likely just throw you a few hundred grand and tell you to keep quiet about it.
>>80781574>>80781491I'm sure they'll restock the book and hopefully fix the digital version. It'd be stupid if they wouldn't considering how high in demand it is.I'm sure I'm not the only one who pre-ordered it on Amazon and didn't get anything yet.

>>80781918Actually, I want something like pic related in the sequel. If I can't get Bogo kicking ass, I'd like to see Nick and Judy doing some actual serious police work. >>80781478First of all, what reddit tier edgelord made this chart?Secondly, the problem with the 'saving her people by segregation' is that predators weren't actually a threat to prey. At all. Not even a little bit. It was the syrum making them go crazy, which is would have done to any animal it touched.Dawn wanted to use fear to gain power, and predators were an easy conduit.

In this universe, what s the beer equivalent for foxes and rabbits?
>>80782446It was funnier than 99% of comedies for adults that have come out in the last 5 years. More than anything else that probably speaks to how unfunny comedy movies have become in the last several years. However, Zootopia is really a lot more than "funny"laughter." It really touches on so many other emotions than just laughter, to the point that it's really a disservice to the movie to just sum it up as being "funny." I am really glad that they were able to do such an emotionally rich movie.
Watch as this movie doesn't get a sequel at all, but Cars gets it 5th movie.
>>80782860There's backlash against posting anything popular that isn't from an American comedy show targeted to adults. That's just the general rule of cool here.
>>80782753Honestly? That's the preferred route for me.A mix of slice of life and police action, a chance to focus on other characters, etc. etc.>it's a Nick needs Finnick's help to investigate something episode.>it's lingering fallout of the movie plot (broken friendships over the residual racism, nighthowlers becoming a street drug, or finding out just how much broader Bellwether's conspiracy was than they had thought) episode>It's a Nick gets pulled along with Judy as she hangs out with FruFru at the mall episode

>>80782994The inherent difficulty with the TV show, is thatyou have to be able to keep it running for sometimes an indefinite period of time. It's a lot harder to have thechanges to the show that the audience will except because if you change it too much, you might lose some of your audience. With movies, it's a lot easier to have the status quote get shaken up considerably.People generally expect there to be some big get new developments when they go see a movie, where is with the TV show they tend to feel "safe," with the assurance that nothing is gonna get shaken up too terribly. Also, producers would like to keep TV shows in such a way that the audience can jump and easily without having to catch up, and that's harder to do with shows that have lots of character development and ongoing serialized plots.

>>80783661>nick gets along great with judy's sibs>she thinks he'll want kids>he's just sexually attracted to all the rabbits and won't want kids for fear of being a pervert
>>80781584Funny thing about thatWhile watching the film I interpreted that predators were supposed to represent men and the public opinion of the prey species that predators could snap at any second and go savage was a reflection of the low opinion that feminists have of women. The whole movie the whole point that just because you are the victim of bigotry does not make it impossible for you to be a bigot really makes it more anti-sjw than pro sjw.
>>80782289>File Size (2D): 169 GB>File Size (3D): 134 GBI can understand that the movie in 3D weighs less than the movie in 2D since the first one is actually just blurred pixels that can only be translated with 3D glasses specifics for that kind of pixel, but how the fuck can a movie in theater weighs like ~150 GB when a movie on Blu-Ray can weighs like ~9 GB?!?
>>80783754>This book is rare as fuck for some reason.Low prints and high demand. Disney did not expect Zootopia to be that successful.
>>80783837...much higher resolution?

>>80783837Maybe it's how it's optimized for the bigger screens? I have no clue how movies actually work.
So in regards to the whole interspecies thing: beyond the obvious reason of not being able to have kids, there are probably other strata v of how unusual certain patients are. Nick and Judy don't even have it that bad, because they aren't that far apart in size. They might not be genetically compatible, but they are at least physically compatible.A mouse and an elephant, in the other hand, while perhaps hilarious as a visual gag would be highly improbable. The elephant would barely be able to see the mouse, much less have any kind of intimacy. Such relationships might exist, although they would be an order of magnitude less common than something like a wolf and a leopard. The most common interspecies relationships would probably be between animals from the same genus or family, like two different species of cats, a wolf and a fox, etc., and from there would be unrelated species that are similar in size, though predator / prey relationships might be less common than prey/prey and predator/predator. The least common would be relationships between two species that are so different in size that they aren't even physically able to have sex.
Anyone got some good pics of Hood Fox?
>>80783713To be fair, prisons usually take precautions about prisoners attacking each other and seperate less violent inmates
>>80783837I would guess the 134 GB are additional data for the 169 GB of the 2D movie? It probably encodes the view from the second eye.

So how well do you think it's gonna do when BvS finally hits?
>>80783044I rike the pixie hair on her tho
>>80779792Include Birds and Reptiles. The world felt filled with the same Rhino on his cellphone. A more diverse group would have been nice. Or at the very least have some apes or monkeys. X
>>80783862Go yourself and stop being scared people will call you a furry, of its that then why are you in a zootopia thread
>>80783942Well BvS is easily gonna knock it out of first place, no doubt about that. But potentially 3 weeks on top is still pretty good.
>>80783862>>80783907Go on a crowded day an no one will give a fuck. Go on an almost empty day and no one will give a fuck. There are others who go alone too.
Guys, I think the movie was a trap...
>>80783944Also, >Human Judy with literal gigantic earsHa
>>80783995Shit I meant to quote>>80783927
>>80779792>If you could change one thing about Zootopia, what would it be?Have an actual reason for the prejudice between predators and prey. Give them different cultures and ways of going about things; not make it as superficial as skin tone. That way the good ending actually feels rewarding, like they overcame something more than hurt feelings.
>>80784009except Zootopia was actually good
>>80783942Different markets, probably going to be bumped down to second place but hold strong there.

Disney probably won't let them ever become a couple. All we will ever get are hugs.
>>80783969As much as I love both, I just can't be behind the idea of birds and reptiles in this world, it would too out of place and saying "oh they were all on an island" feels cheapThough the inclusion of primates could add a lot, not necessarily great apes. But things like lemurs would be perfect
Fuck man zootopia was heavy

>>80784042>Have an actual reason for the prejudice between predators and preyBut there isn't actually any natural prejudice between the two, sure everybody there's a little bit racist but it only became an issue because Belleweather started shit in the first place
how did they get Nick to be so cute
>>80784126Wait until Zootopia 2 ends with Nick and Judy returning home from their wedding and throwing a cowboy hat on their bedroom door handle.

>>80784136Fuck, now I wanna know what happens next
>>80784153No even before that. She kept the fox pepper spray her racist parents gave her. She brought up glue when it's a touchy subject for sheep. She thought that savage DNA didn't exist in bunnies. Her parents were terribly racist.
>>80784196this, it's actually not the norm for characters to not be together at the end of a disney flick with 2 main characters
>>80782392Funny you should mention There She Is, I was just talking with my friend about how the sequel could be about mixed-species relationships and basically be a Disney version of There She Is. That could actually be cool if they did it right. But then we won't get anymore buddy cop stuff...
>>80784228This'uns pretty good too senpai
>>80784173That gif gets me every fucking time
>>80784197I wanna believe, man. I wanna believe. I just hope if they do let it happen they let their relationship develop at a normal rate and not too quickly.
>>80784153Did Bellwether make Gideon be a douche to Judy? Did she orchestrate Nick being muzzled?Prejudice is very real in the movie, and it's inane to try to pin it all on one or two of the characters.
>>80784247Pretty sure Byron said he didn't want the sequel to be another Buddy Cop-esque movie. But I can't think of the source for that so I could be pulling it out of my ass

>>80783944Just fuck my shit up senpaiI never asked for these feels
>>80784281That's a shame, because I wish they would take that trope and run with it by making the sequel super cheesy.
>>80784244>>80784269That's why I said "everybody's a little bit racist". Everybody has their own limits on who they tolerate but clearly it was never actually an issue
>>80784126hugs are pure
>>80784126I prefer them as best bros in a platonic relationship.I don't want they fall in the generic couple trap since the character development for them would be so fucking generic.Judy gives to Nick the will to believe in the idea of Zootopia, I want that the sequel have Nick giving to Judy the will to fight for this idea, to show how Nick has being affected by the optimism and the idealism of Judy...
>>80784281you're thinking of a big long ass thing that byron told everyone wasn't from him.
>>80784208i find it funny that Judy and Nick are standing on their long ass heels like humans
>>80784256Would you prefer that they are already dating when the movie starts and then by the end they get engaged or married or would you like them to start dating over the course of the movie?I personally kinda want them to be married before the movie ends. Mostly because I wanna see Daddy Nick as soon as possible.Though of course I don't want that if it were bad for the movie itself, I want it to be as natural and well done as possible. But thats just what I'd like to see if that could be done right.>>80784320I kinda want the sequel to be somewhat down to earth. Taking advantage of the setting they are in of course, but dealing with real life issues. But I probably shouldn't hope for that too much since its a kids movie.Closest thing I can think of though would be like the first part of the Incredibles where we see a lot of the family's home life before the plot really gets rolling.
eliminate the obvious padding to the sjw scene. I was expecting a fur fest but instead I got "pandering to minorities: the movie."
>>80783794>Bell arrested for making people fuckWould be funnier
I would really enjoy it if disney made the original concept as a sequel.
>>80784344Shut up, nerd
>>80784298They already did the two weddings thing in Princess and the Frog though. They should just let Mouth and Judy have a "real" wedding.
One of the biggest problems I had with the film is that it implies only large species ever became police officers before Judy joined the force. But who would police the rodent district? Is this why the mafia is run by a shrew? Just to form a local militia to protect rodent neighborhoods? And if this is the case, why are there so many polar bears at the shrews employ? Did they make the money first and then just hire them as muscle, or is there some deal we are unaware of going on? I want answers to these questions.
>>80781478Aku is literally Mid-Tier. It's his nature, he's the embodiment of evil.
>>80784357Its very possible
>>80784413Still do both. Bogo's the fucking chief of police, not a justice of the peace. He CAN'T marry them.
>>80781474Don't be delusional, reverse search the image
>>80784394I don't think it would work. They just spent the first movie proving there's nothing to fear from predators, and the predator and prey can learn to trust each other.Going to shock collars for predators would undo all that.
>>80784243They died Anon
>>80784326It wasn't as big of an issue but Bellwether prayed on the fears that already naturally existed withing most prey. She brought out inherent fears that they kept about predators that don't always come up, but are always in the back of their minds.
>>80784388I don't want them dating or anything when the movie first starts, they're just doing their work as usual and start to slowly develop more and more feelings for one another. If they do officially get together it's gotta be around the later half of the movie.

>>80784464Maybe as like an alternate universe type thing. Just what i would like though
>>80784514Personally I'd want them to get together about half way through at the latest.Partially because I want there to be time for a "Nick meets Judy's parents" scene which would be better if they are already dating. Though I suppose it could still be good if they weren't at that point.
>>80784551>tfw you will never draw as cute as this artist doesRose apply for Disney already god damn it
>>80781754I wouldn't be surprised if that's just the public relations policy, as I don't see how any fanfic writer could ever manage to get a day in court let alone winHow could you ever convince a jury or judge that they copied your story? It's a talking animal flick, not Moby Dick
>>80784418They implied that there were other precincts in Zootopia, they just didn't do a good job of defining them at all. It's like precinct 1 is all of Zootopia while the more specialized and size appropriate officers would be part of other stations in other precincts.

>>80783837https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Cinema_PackageIt looks like DCP doesn't use video or audio compression: you just have a JPEG for every frame in the film, and a WAV file for the audio. If each JPEG is 1 MB, at 24 frames per second that's 170 GB for 2 hours.3D requires two video streams, one for each eye, and you can't reuse the 2D stream in any way. So maybe the JPEGs are compressed more to save space.

>>80783873I guess it's similar to extreme LDR stuff for us; it exists, and quite a few people might try their hand at it, but the actual successful attempts are few and far inbetween, and the parties rarely have a traditional view of romance and sexuality anyhow.I doubted Disney would make them an item, just because of the interspecies thing. >>80784913It's really cute but you have to do it right or it will suffer what I call the "spice and wolf problem"Having the characters beat around the romantic bush, teasing each other and being cute is well...cute, but you can't stay that way forever , and once they are actually together then it can kinda fall on much else to go on from that point

>>80784910The will of the Hist is clear, the landstriders must be dominated in the name of Sithis!>>80783873It also means that where there's a niche and communications, there's probably support groups and such.I could actually see Nick and Judy getting offered by some guy to join their Prey/Predator couples support group.>>80784925>I doubted Disney would make them an item, just because of the interspecies thing.So... just be sure, you do mean "past tense" right and that's not a typo?Because, honestly, is this the first case of interspecies Disney's done with their talking animal stuff?Closest I can think of is Mike and Celia in Monsters Inc. and that's both Pixar, and Monsters are all kind of nebulously part of a single species with massive morphism between individuals.
>>80782894>It was funnier than 99% of comedies for adults that have come out in the last 5 yearsAlright anon it's time to stop posting, you are starting to romancize this movie a little too much

>>80785153Doubted, as in, my thought before I saw the movie was "it'll never be a thing because it's interspecies and they don't want to go there", while my thoughts now are more along the line of "it didn't become a thing because there's a lot more to this couple than what a happily ever after could offer". I'm pretty confident that there's quite a few people behind the scenes that like Nick and Judy as a couple, but didn't want to do a ending where they just end up together and it's happily ever after. Considering that this is a world where legit anti-fox products exist and are sold on the market, it would definitely be a cop-out, kinda lazy, and pretty predictable. If there is a sequel, I'd love to see it as more of an action romcom, where the two of them are just starting out and starting to deal with the backlash of being in a interspecies couple. It would make a great conflict, and it definitely deserves more attention than this movie could've given.>>80785351Assuming it wouldn't EXIST is pretty naive, but the Zooteam seems to have a lot of love for the universe, and would probably want to devote more attention to the implications of such a relationship (especially one between different families, sizes, and roles of animals). So that does make whatever other "couples" are in the movie being interspecies or not pretty irrellevant. Of course interspecies relationships exist, we don't need the creators to confirm that.

>>80785458Wait at first I didn't think this meant anything because they could be brothers, and it didn't have to mean they were gay. If they ARE brothers though that'd still mean there are interspecies relationships since their parents would be. Unless of course adoption was involved but even then that means interspecies adoption isn't bad either. I really hope they touch on this in a sequel. >>80785480You know I love how true this is. They're so fucking good together even homosexuals are like "Nah, don't homofy the Nick. That's Judys territory." I mean no disrespect with that, I find it great and amusing is all. >>80785533You made me laff.Thank you Anon.
how much nick is there in the artbook
>>80784253In this pic they made Judy look like Ginnifer Goodwyn but they should have made Nick look more like Jason Bateman.
>>80785568bruh you are not alonei know that feel too well

>>80785512>Of course interspecies relationships exist, we don't need the creators to confirm thatWe needed them to confirm how common or legal it is to help us speculate the possibilities.

>>80785710Better coloring. Good job anon
>>80785404>>80785480>>80785667>Judy is a closest Yaoi lover>Gets the biggest smile whenever she catches Nick in a situation that could be construed as 'gay'>"M-Maybe you and Finnick should hug and make up? How about a kiss too? Yeesss... And rub his ears..."
>Literally nothing was needed to be changed in this movie. He'll they could've added more scenery but that's about it. Also more of best Yak. And animal yoga with Nick getting naked at the resort should've been in the movie.
>>80785778It's probably a deleted scene, wouldn't be surprised if it's on the bluray
>>80785667>If they ARE brothers though that'd still mean there are interspecies relationships since their parents would be.That's kind of exactly what I said. Even both parts of their hyphenated names come from two different species.
>>80785802I know it makes me want to see the reaction on Judy. It's going to be gold.
Squishy bunny face
>>80785359Im at around 1k
>>80785778There are people who liked the yoga scene? I thought it felt too potty humor-y. Like a fart joke.
Here's a great idea for the sequel, how about this time they don't fucking spoil it before release?Or make it a worldwide release too while you're at it?
>>80785739thats pretty gay anon
>>80785108I havent had an image folder fill up this fast since horsesOh god, It's that fandom all over again! I'm too old to be sucked up in this shit again.
>>80785862The nudist scene would have been better if they did by cleverly hiding everyone's rears/crotches and having waist-up perspectives instead.
>>80785862What made me find humor in it was there were no genitals. They didn't model any, but every other character could see them. For it's just normal toon anatomy, for them dicks and giant gaping elephant vagina everywhere.
>>80785862>I thought it felt too potty humor-y. Like a fart joke. How was it in any way like a fart joke? The biggest joke in the scene was the stoner yak having an eidetic memory while the elephant couldn't remember shit.
>>80785880>YFW Finnick is old enough to be Judy's Dad.
>>80785946>giant gaping elephant vaginaNo no, that was Grimsby, I don't think you saw the right movie.
>>80785941its just a single picthe artist is on FA, pretty easy to find considering there isnt much Finnick art
>>80785966with how animals are, Nick is old enough to be Judy's dad.
>>80785909It's been done and it kind of starts off that way with the yak behind the counter.
>>80785880>>80785941Says you.JK it's totes gay.
>>80785963No, the Yak was great. But the concept behind the yoga scene felt a bit too easy. I mean, I get it, but it just didn't play to me.
>>80785458Ok, hold on, which neighbours are we talking about here? The two antilopes?
>>80784587I think the way they will handle it is that the audience can see that Nick and Judy are getting closer, but Nick and Judy themselves are not fully aware of it until maybe the third act. There would be lots of hints that they are a bit obsessed with each other like constantly spending time together when not on the clock, going on "dates that aren't dates," lots of physical contact / closeness, etc.Nick meeting Judy's parents would be a perfect example. On the conscious level Judy would have an official reason that Nick would be meeting her parents, but on a subconscious level she is fishing for their approval. The same would go for Nick-- officially him and Judy aren't an item, but on the subconscious he really wants her parents to approve of him. Judy's parents would probably stop just short of asking "are you two dating?" due to not wanting to embarrass the two of them, but the implication would be that they know exactly what's going on even if Nick and Judy themselves haven't come forward about it yet.I think it'd be great if they actually ended the movie with Nick and Judy getting married. By that point they know each other inside and out, and the only thing stopping them was that they hadn't admitted loving each other yet. If they've known each other for one to three years by that point (depending on when they set the movie vs. how long it takes to come out), there's not really any reason for them to wait it out with a long engagement.
>>80786068>tfw I'll never color like thatpls stop
>>80786018Aging with animals clearly seems to be the same as it is with humans. Otherwise Judy and Nick wouldn't have lived to 24 and 32, respectively.
>>80785778>>80785802>>80785834>"We're naturalists, bro.">Nick looks around, shrugs and starts taking off his shirt.>Judy: "What do you think you're doing?!">Nick: "Well you know what they say, when it-">Judy: "I'm pretty sure that saying doesn't apply to a situation like this!">Nick (with his shirt half off): "Come on, officer. You wouldn't want to offend the good citizens you serve and protect.">Judy: "Put that back or I swear-">Nick: "Alright, you're right." (engage smug thrusters at maximum)>Nick puts his shirt back on, and visibly winks towards a few femine looking animals in a nearby pool waving at them.>Nick: "You're right, we wouldn't want to distract all fine ladies of this establishment."
>>80786046I think the Yoga scene with the elephant would have been funnier if we got a shit load of reactions from Nick for every single pose. Like sometimes give him an oh my... face while others a JESUS CHRIST face. Also I wrote a thing but it's shitty. When do do new topics usually go up after one hits bump limit? I want people to read my shittiness and tell me how shit the shit is.
>>80786057Yes, but they weren't both antelopes. What other neighbors could we be talking about?
>>80786068I think the way they'll handle it is they'll have a movie about cops fighting crime and not another fucking teen romance drama like you fags seem to want to make everything.
>>80785842those cheeksso skwooshable
>>80784953That's not a mowhawk, that's a tuft of hair that resembles a pixie cut. I think it's cute.
>>80786139I want a hardcore porno, but that's not gonna happen.
>>80786126Huh, didn't notice that. Oh well, close enough. Both struck me as typical fratboy college roommates in any case.
>>80786139Not him but I don't want a romance drama. Actually I'd be happy with them just knowing they love each other, getting married, and it be a rather minor subplot. Unless the movie revolves around interspecies relationships, which if done well could be as good a story as what we had for this one.
>>80782780I feel your pain bro, but Secretariat is not (just) a fictional character from Bojackhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secretariat_%28horse%29
>>80786139>teen romance dramaHonestly, I want it to be low key. No big "I love yous" no love song, no kissing well, maybe at the end
>>80786139The two main focuses of the film were character development and social commentary. A developing romance between Nick and Judy could be used to satisfy both of those in a sequel if done properly, and I trust the directors to do it properly.
>Zootopia 2>Judy accepts promotion to be sergeant in tundratown.>has new wolf partner>nick insanely jealous
>>80786168That's why you read the credits.
>>80785193They're trying to cure butthurt.
>>80786250you just described something that would take half the fucking movie to do for no real pay off
>>80786253>sequel falls into the Disney trap of being a direct-to-video romance story
>>80782712Only have this.Man, being in a 750 post thread is heavy on firefox.
>>80786303The payoff would be the culmination of all the development their relationship has gotten and the potential completion of some character arcs. Plus most of the audience seems to want them to become a couple, so it would appease a lot of people.
>>80786295Isn't that expensive?
I want them to just be casually dating in a sequelno montage or explanation needed, just have them kiss and stuff with neither acting like its a big fucking dealI loved HTTYD for doing that
>>80786348If the sequel is direct-to-video I will be mighty peeved.
Man these threads fill up fast.I don't think Judy and Nick should become a couple in the next movie already. Maybe at the end of it, but nothing with marriage and shit. It's way too early.
>>80786348d2v but in 2d
I wouldn't mind if the movie focused on interspecies relationships if it was done as well as the first movies plot was. However I'd also find a lot of charm in both Nick and Judy being 100% ok with loving each other and getting married. Maybe just have them be as they are normally, great chemistry and all, then just nonchalantly tell someone oh yeah by the way we're getting married. Maybe Judys parents or something. Cue spit take etc. >>80786406Something like this. "We don't give a fuck, we're happy, eat shit if you don't like it."
>>80786358Romance is never something you should have as a focus for anything. We've already got them going from people who, honestly, want to see the other fail, to ending up being all but life partners at the end of the first movie. What additional character development do we get from the needless, and frankly senseless, angst of your fanfiction? We already have them work through the superfluous character flaws that we see they have, there's nothing to bother with at that point. It is better to strain the current relationship with a new outside problem.
>>80779792Its HD link availability.
>>80786418I can agree to that. Definitely should be a "slow cook" kind of thing.(warning: cancerous levels of faggotry ahead!)in a sequel idea I had had the most I had was the two of them echoing the "you know you love me" lines from the end of the movie only this time followed with a small kiss.
>>80786463Nick still has some unresolved emotional barriers and a fear of intimacy.
>>80786139I don't see anyone asking for the movie's plot to revolve around relationship drama. Judy and Nick's friendship in the first movie was a major component but it wasn't the only thing driving the story-- rather the story drove their friendship forward. There's no reason to think that if they get together in the sequel that it will not be handled well, because I think the writers have already proven themselves as being able to juggle multiple story elements without making any of them feel unimportant. If Nick meets Judy's parents I can guarantee you there will be a plot-related reason for it. It just so happens that they can also use the scene to develop the characters, and Nick and Judy's relationship. Plot happens in a way that the characters get a chance to be developed. That is how good movies are written.
> all the shipping art> Judy is early 20s> nick is early 30s>tfw you just realized the age gap
>>80782065Nick has gone full gumball at this point
>>80786500Why, because you say so? Because he decided to use humor to break the tension of an emotional moment? Everyone does this, it's a natural human reaction to such situations. Does everyone have unresolved emotional barriers and fears of intimacy?
>>80786495That's just my kind of faggotry
>>80786536its not uncommon for people to date older people ya knowbesides its only like 8 years
>>80786560Judy isn't that tiny, is she?
>>80786536They're not that far apart, Judy is 24 and Nick is 32. It's not a big gap.
>>80786500They both have unresolved issues.Judy tries too hard and nick doesn't care.I just want them to have that "Oh my god you want me too" moment.
>>80783959PLEASEI need to frame the concept art, and put it all over my walls.
>>80786560She's a liiitle small here.
>>80786591well nick is 30-34, officially.
I want to know how Judy will reconcile her being a cop with knowing and being a personal friend of Mr. Big.
>>80786608He's early 30s, which is anywhere from 30-33. 34-36 is mid thirties, 36-39 is late thirties.
Last for tiny cake
>>80786536>tfw I can't find the scene from BIG where the girl explains that while she might be 8 and the guy is 18, in 50 years, they'll be 58 and 68 which is not that big a difference
>>80786599There's so much Zootopia shit on my walls I am actually embarrassed when people come over. I might have a problem.
>>80786415Disney is way past direct to video sequels to theatrical movies. That was the Michael Eisner era. I bet Bob Iger and John Lasseter curse at the moon and stars to this day that all of Disney's 90s rennaissance classics like The Lion King already have DTV sequels, because a theatrical Lion King sequel could have been huge. These days if they're going to bother with sequels, they are going to shoot for the stars rather than going for a quick buck. The amount of money to be made from DTV sequels is absolute peanuts compared to what a theatrical sequel can do.
>>80786597>"Oh my god you want me too" moment.Oh my god, yes, I love this idea. Just that heartwarming, tearful realization that they realize how much they care for one another.
>>80786639I just have one poster, all the concept art looks so great. Also, you shouldn't be ashamed, not only because its something you like, but because it is worthy of being framed and put on a wall.
