Why has this movie inspired so much lewdness?
>>80773953That's a quality comic
How does that actually end?
Cute, well made characters. It's all it takes.
i love nick
>>80773953The question is, rather, how it inspired the internet to so much NON-lewd fanart. The artists have gone overtime making wholesome goodness.
>>80774034>nickdick
>>80774078i love nicks dick
>>80773953Both protagonists are cute and you wish they were real leads to lewdness

Anyone else not a give a shit about their relationship? I actually liked it better when they weren't in one...
>you will never get a good taste of the bunny
>>80774203To be technical, they never actually established a relationship. Just a friendship and work partnership.

>>80774276Yes, we all want to hug the rabbit
>no one has the pic of Judy in cute striped pantsu cuddling with Nick in boxersC-can someone prove me wrong?
>>80773953That's easy.Porn is made of everything, and one of the most sexually repressed groups are losers. One of the biggest group of losers are furries. That said, a lot of Porn and lewd artwork is made of good things, specially this movie which also involve certain chemistry that works great in said fan worksHope this helped so we can move on.
Post muzzled savages.

>>80774379
>>80773953Because furries
>>80774424I was not a furry before zootopia.
More adorable than the rabbit
>>80774424While yes, there is a furry fandom of this movie, my searches have revealed it's not really the furries making all the lewds. Some, sure, but the majority are people who would have done lewds regardless.Zootopia's success, and thus the fanart, had more to do with it being a Disney film that a "furry" film. That and well done characters. That had a big part in it.
Miami vice parody when?
>>80774205>tfw want to read Usagi Yojimbo now
>There were faggots in the threads created prior to Zootopia's release that thought the film was going to be excessive furry pandering

What other districts would there be? Where else do mammals live?
Why isn't nick bigger than judy like in real life
>>80774065This. Porn's easy, but the sheer volume of heart-punching wholesome art is staggering.
Why do they cry?
>>80774535Judy is a flemmish giant rabbit.

>>80774630>>80774547Why is it that when I see these pictures, the only thing I can think of is like twenty little rabbit ladies swarming Nick and all of them being super enamored with him?Nick ends up with an accidental bunny harem, and all he wants is to get away.
>>80774710I dunno, I could say the same way for Bellwetherfags
i like the fox dont care about the bunny though
>>80774691>>80774709This was before the whole predator/prey thing.
>>80774787Eh I dunno, you'd end up with a run-of-the-mill film then, I guess.
>>80774787I thought the shock collar thing was the first, or one of the first, drafts. Am I mistaken?
How can Nick tell if he's really in love?
Both Byron and Rich started faving romantic fanart on twitter. Is this a sign?
>>80774798I ndon't think the secret agent idea ever really got off the ground, so to speak.
>>80774680>terrible voiceI don't personally like Bellwether, but her voice is the most sexy part of her character. The way it cracks is just gorgeous. My highschool sweetheart's voice cracked in a similar way.
>>80774824It's not that the voice is "terrible", but I feel like it's the common go-to voice for a nerd/glasses girl.
Reminder Bellwether is a

>>80774811>mfw all the shipping fanart ends up being what convinces them to make it official in the next movie
For anyone who hasn't seen yet, the Blu-Ray release is listed as releasing on July 14th, in Germany.http://www.amazon.de/Zoomania-Blu-ray/dp/B01C9P34F6

>>80774811Byron made have of it.
>>80774811Yes. And I love it.
>>80774871Huh. Neat. Thanks, Anon.
>>80774841They are a lot of "trope-heavy" characters in the movie:-both mains- mayor- the sheep- bogoIt's the way they interact that makes it great. Zootopia doesn't even try to deconstruct character tropes, but does a pretty good job deconstructing disney tropes, and animation/kids movie tropes.
>>80774798The shock collar is pretty prevailant in every pred character in the art book. I think it was scrapped fairly far into developement.
>>80774948I know, I simply cannot stand the voice especially when used on nerdy characters.
>>80775032They got rid of it about a year and a half ago, so yeah.I'm personally glad they scrapped it.
I'm seeing it now.Who else visibly cringed at the "only bunnies call us cute" shit. Come the fuck on.
>>80774870A trap
>>80774870cute
>>80775052I've said before that I would absolutely watch the shit out of the original version, but it was a very odd choice for a Disney movie to make, and probably for the best that they changed it.
>>80775052I would have been fine with it, i like the film we got and i completely understand why they would scrap it. But i do think that version of Zootopia is greatly interesting as well.
>>80775058Pretty sure we all did, anon. But it was really the only cringy/hamfisted part of the movie. Also,>posting on 4chan in the middle of the moviewhy
>>80775058Get off your phone and watch the movie. I'm pretty sure they tell you that before the movie start too.
theres going to be more zootopia right? they spent like 5-6 years on it
How would you make Nick feel happy?

>>80773953
>>80775058>>80775082I wish they never put that part into the movie. Not because it was poor taste or anything like that, but because apparently ever retard will take that as a "that's our word" reference instead of what it's supposed to be.

>>80775150What was it supposed to be?
>>80774798The VERY first draft was a spy movie about a guy named Jack Savage. But that never left the concept art stage before they moved onto the shock collars.
Ewe that started a racewar
>>80775206it is a "that's our word" reference, but it's not a one to one comparison of saying cute to a bunny is racist.
>>80775215I hope that Nick has an alter ego as Jack Savage, Zootopia's greatest spy.

>>80775245it honestly looks a little like fritz the cat
>>80775206a joke about nigger
>>80775105It seems likely a sequel will happen. The other Disney movies are all getting something, and the creators of Zootopia have been pretty clear that they want to do more.So at this point it seems to be just a matter of when

>>80775425You can't see all the lewd because the janitors are fans of this movie and delete anything even slightly lewd
>>80774811If I remember, Byron actually wants them to get together
>>80775511I meant around the internet in general, not just here
>>80775511that's not 100% true.
>>80775425>>80775443Humanity has consciously agreed to not produce any more porn of Zootopia. Those who still do are savages we must hunt, muzzle and put behind bars.

Is there a rule against posting links to lewds?Asking for a friend not me hahaha he just wants to know haha!Haha he's so weird.
>>80775677haha you ever wonder what bogo smells like haha
>>80775394It would be really gritty but in that kinda safe and bland fritz way, the race relations would be much more ham-fisted and one species would be stereotypically black. Nick is a drug dealin, free-wheelin, (jet-flyin, limousine-ridin) fox who almost gets shot by new and crooked cop Judy Hopps, who's using her newfound badge to go extrajudicial in order to overcompensate for being the only rabbit on the force, but Nick convinces her he just want's out man, and is enlisted by her to help take down the kingpins one by one. There is much existential philosophy from Nick that's all made up BS, and Judy calls him out/threatens him for it constantly. Nick and Judy would fug.7.5/10, audiences will loathes it and critics will find it vulgar and garish, however it too would attain cult status.
>>80775663If they didn't want everyone to see them as a couple they shouldn't have had them basically say "I love you" to each other at the end, and look so cute with each other.really it's Byron and Moore's faults, not ours.
>>80774415Hi everybody!

>>80775759I'd break her out, but I question the wool placement on Bellwether in this picture. As far as I'm aware, Bellwether's legs have about wool, up to her knee. I'm assuming her torso is covered in wool, not the other way around.
How does it record?
>>80775786If they wanted it to be jokey, they didn't direct Bateman and Goodwin well enough then.
>>80775759Have you ever touched a real sheep? They're nasty. The wool is oily and usually dirty. You can't even clean her up with soup, because wool would keep soaking all the water, like a huge sponge.Smellweather is right.
>>80775819It's always recording.
>>80775819By transforming acoustic energy into digital data.>>80775828I didn't say jokey. There's a platonic love, anon. The way it was worded was incredibly ambiguous and didn't imply anything at all.

>>80775829Anon, soup is for eating, not for cleaning. No wonder you think people stink.
I like to think I am a reasonably normal human being, but here I am collecting Zootopia fanart day-in, day-out. What have I become?>>80775829One thing I kept thinking of during the movie is how terrible Zootopia must smell. I bet it smells like an actual zoo.
>>80775786>That's what virgins who've never touched a girl think is basically "I love you," you meanIf you didn't catch all the flirty hints you are the one that probably never touched a girl. The directors had to specifically guide the VAs to do the voice-over in this way.

>Zootopia sequel>Nick is accused of doing a crime he didn't commit>Judy tries to tell Bogo what happened but she gets slapped with the cuffs as well for being an accomplice>Judy is held back and has to watch as Nick is detained and has a muzzle put on him, all while he's freaking the fuck out and hyperventilating>Rest of the movie is about the two breaking out of prison and clearing Nick's name>Bellwether can even be thrown into the mix

>>80776007Yeah, sure
>>80775997>appealing
>>80775941Well I know how the banter between close friends sounds like and it definitely does not sound like this. This is 'teasing' taken to a new level if they are platonic. Or I'm just so unspeakably repulsive that none of my girl-friends talked with me in that way.
>>80776007that is pretty much how these arguments go.It's a lot like the "they're flirting/not flirting" arguments in the old Frozen threads. The entire thing is meaningless.
>>80776025I'm thinking the latter
>>80775997if by appealing you mean +10 to Smugness
These threads move way too quick.

It's not like this is the paint-by-numbers way furries write their stories. But my biggest complaint about it is the film does more harm to its own message then good. "The key to killing prejudice is to act and think exactly the same and live in a paradise where the two conflicting sides don't actually have any real reason to have a conflict!". OMG, fucking brilliant! Why haven't humans thought of this yet!?Otherwise I guess the movie was ok, it was at least pretty to look at.

Working on some writefaggotry alternate universe crap where Nick is a veteran cop by the time Judy joins up. Trying to keep true to Nick's character. What kind of cop would he be? Semi-corrupt (ignoring most minor crap, letting his friends off etc)? Kinda uncaring about actually enforcing the law in general? Skimming some extra cash off the top? How does /co/ feel about the ZPD being portrayed as corrupt, speciesist, vaguely incompetent, and quick to use excessive force? Not in an edgy "beating people up for no reason" way but just in a general casual atmosphere of "it's okay to give foxes a harder time because they're foxes and foxes are shifty and he's probably hiding something anyway" way.I'm writing a fanfic and I'm just wondering if anyone else got the impression from the movie that the ZPD isn't actually a very effective police force.

Around $4.6 million yesterday while it made $4,543,674 the previous Monday. Movies tend not to stay even or go up on their income week-to-week. Is the Spring Break effect starting already?
>>80778503
>>80778421It doesn't seem very corrupt, and competent enough when the Chief isn't going out of his way to block a rookie from getting anything done. But the entire city seems to shit on foxes, and Judy's presence was seemingly met with exasperation and bemusement. But by that same token, yes, the majority of the force seems to be made up of fairly heavy-hitters, species-wise, with the smallest species, somehow, seemingly being wolves; it seems like a pretty aggressive force.
>>80778450Anon who made the webm, hereI got it from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSXIr6mppSsThere's a handful of clips/trailers uploaded in HD, by both Disney and movie review channels.

>>80778534>It doesn't seem very corrupt, and competent enough when the Chief isn't going out of his way to block a rookie from getting anything doneI'm extrapolating the corruption because a force that's bad at its job is likely to be corrupt as well. But it's true, there's no corruption in the movie. RE: incompetence I'm referring to how with 14 missing mammals they don't make any progress in 10 days (or possibly more for some of the cases) when, in real life, people who get abducted are usually dead in two. Apparently cops didn't even get tasked with investigating until over a week after the abductions.

>>80778687I actually justified that as having two types of Officer, a beat cop and a rank cop. Beat cops are enlisted and NCOs from the Army, whereas rank cops are equivalent to Officers. Civilians can get direct entry into being a rank cop (like an Officer in the army) by doing additional training and having a college degree. Rank cops are like a cross between detectives and beat cops - they are charged with investigating specific serious crimes as necessary, but fill the role of beat cops when there are no tasks. It's a dumb system but it does explain why Judy was asking for a missing person case on her first day.

>>80776615It wasn't that they were afraid to use it. Disney signed off on it. The directors just realized that after getting feedback, the story was way too depressing for what they wanted to do.They wanted to have the city be savable, but in its current state that wasn't really possible. The happiest ending would just be Nick getting out, and thats not the ending they wanted to write.

>>80778224Well that's Metal Gear Rising, which is a spin off that's more silly than anything.
>>80778767>>80778687Detectives are really just a specialist rank, they're given access to more things, and have more responsibilities, but it's not like a patrolman couldn't investigate a crime. Further more we're never told anyone's rank, other than Bogo's. There's no Sergeants (though Clawhauser and Higgins are both probably Sergeants) No one's called a detective, no Lieutenants, nothing. What we do know is that Parking Enforcement is actually it's own department for application, rather than Police Officer. Judy is an Officer and is given some other department's job.
>>80778788I wanted it to be real so bad, you can't understand how this feels.
>>80778842At least for now it's still ahead of the pace. Give Frozen a week's head start for its single-theater limited release and Wednesday opening, and Zootopia has still made more domestically in its first 11 days than Frozen did in its first 22.
>>80778842Nigga whatZootopia's opening weekend revenue was double Frozen's.The movie hasn't even been out two weeks in the US, and it's already at $450mil worldwide.
>>80778760I'm in the same boat. I have a steady job, I have lots of friends who I go out drinking with, I've lost my virginity, and I had a steady upbringing. I'm "normie" as hell, but this movie does more for me than most I can remember.
>>80778842Frozen made 1.3 billion, nothing is going to touch that for a LONG time. Zootopia will make about 600-700 million.
>>80778863So does that mean that Po is just literally their universe's Jack Black?
>>80778833I think this is why I'm obsessed with it - it's the first Disney (or any movie, tbqh), to actually make me fall in love with it. It's like I'm a child seeing the Lion King for the first time again. This movie is reminding me what it's like to go through a borderline autistic phase, and I love that.

>>80778997The standing Hippo at the start actually has Higgins on his name tag.so either there's two Higgins, or Disney was lazy and used the same model for both Hippos, and probably all the other officers.
>>80778224Thats from the spinoff which was pretty fucking goofy, even though in story it played everything completely straight.Which intentionally adds to the goofiness of it. Its pretty over the top.Not to say the main MGS games weren't goofy or over the top at times, but they at least were meant to be taken seriously at times.

>>80779078Yeah, but then Vexus would be in mid tier and Maleficent would be in high tier. The tier list is inaccurate anyways.
>>80779106Sure it hasn't, it still has Japan to go along with many others. But domestically its not even close to what Frozen had. Frozen left with 400 million domestic while Zootopia is sitting at a bit under 150 million. Sure its got time to go before it leaves theaters, but its only going to trail off from here, unless like Frozen did it gets a boost in viewership. That is hardly to say its doing bad, the movie is doing great really, and its still got markets to open to that should contribute to its success. But expecting it to pull a Frozen seems unlikely to me. Those last few markets would have to put in a lot of money to get it there.
>>80779122Would you rather Zootopia be completely forgotten in 6 months, or be spammed become the scorn of everyone like Frozen? Can it hit the middle ground and become a cult classic?

>>80779072I know. It's just that I wanted to see it again but it was already pulled out. I knew of the movie too late because there was almost no marketing for it.
>>80779104With no monkeys allowed, I'd think he'd be a red panda.Maybe a lemur, if those were allowed. He would definitely be a smaller animal, though.Maybe Kung Fu was invented in Zootopia's world not to defend against weapons, but to defend against animals far larger than yourself unarmed.
>>80779139
>>80779170>Frozen left with 400 million domestic while Zootopia is sitting at a bit under 150 millionAnd Frozen was in theaters for fucking eight months, Zootopia has been in theaters for less than two weeks (in the US).Give it time.
>>80779194Fair enough. I'm not saying it definitely won't happen, it could.I'm just feeling its very unlikely.

>>80778780>>80779112>>80778760>>80778833Glad to hear we're going through this together. I mean, I was a little excited for this movie before it came out, like I am for all Disney movies. >>80779194>Zootopia has been in theaters for less than two weeks (in the US)Prolly won't go much further past two weeks either.
>>80779210>Swear to goatThey already say God in the movie.
>>80773953So what was with the movies insistence that Herbivore=Prey?A elephant is a herbivore but still at the top of the food chain because nothing is willing to fuck with it except humans and since humans don't exist in the movies world they could not really be considered prey also many predators are themselves prey to larger predators, the black and white distinction the movie made was really bizarre especially with Otterton I mean otters only really eat fish, shellfish and sometimes insects in a world where only mammals are sapient why would anyone be afraid of a otter?
>>80779230The sundress the proof of God's existence.
>>80779254It could stay on top next week. Only major release I can think of is that divergent movie, that could knock it down. But the week after that, Zootopia is getting blown the fuck out no matter how you look at it.
>>80778915>Zootopia will make about 600-700 million.Probably closer to 800-900 million at this point. If it stays strong in China and proves to be a hit in Japan it could break 1 billion.

>>80779255then obviously the opposite is true.
>>80779238Same here ,Bought nick funko and infinity I haven't been into a movie since mr.fox (which is arguably the movie the put me over the edge into furry ) and that shit changed my life no joke
>>80778746I really want this to happen.
>>80779259I think they were just trying to keep it simple. Predators (can) eat meat, prey don't.
>>80779011Well, she was aware that little species suffer discrimination. She was mistreated and bullied, but at the same time she wants power. So she's all over that chart.
I just came back from the cinema. In Polish dub they went nuts with the translation and Nick blatantly starts using Russian phrases when speaking to Polar Bears, ending every second sentence with "da?" with a fake accent. It was hysterical.Overall english dub=best dub, and proper rip can't come soon enough. Polish version of try everything is also subpar. I'm going to take all my friends to see that movie nonetheless, it was friggin adorable.
>>80779238>I now own a poster (frame pending), the Infinity figures, and the art bookI'm jelly, anon. I don't know where to buy posters here, aside from printing my own. I still have to check local bookstores for the artbook. I really want the tsumtsums.I wasn't really into recent Disney movies as well, except Tangled though I was too late to all the hype. I am pretty sure I'm not a furry as well. But there is something in this movie that makes me really invested in it, god damn.
>>80779292>Bellwether is secretly a satanist.I can dig this
>>80779021The Higgins brothers? It's possible. One of my major complaints with the film is the bullpen scene; of all the stereotypically tough animals in the world to fill like 20 seats, we only see like six different species. The people Bogo takes with him to get Manchas are like four rhinos and one tiger, but this is excusable because it shows how racist he is by showing us the lack of diversity on his A team.
>>80779301>little species suffer discriminationThe only discrimination we see in the movie is to Nick, a mid-sized predator.
>>80779270those movies lifetime grosses are typically worse than what Zootopia's done already.
>>80779270>Only major release I can think of is that divergent movieThat is already out, has a 19% on tomatoes. >Zootopia is getting blown the fuck out no matter how you look at itWhat comes out after that?
>>80779275It's sad I'm more interesting in the race for zootopia to break frozen then the presidential election
>>80779270Yeah, there's a small chance it might stay #1 for three weekends in a row but already a guaranteed zero chance it makes four in a row given those preorder sales. And Insurgent is only at 21% reviews so far. Sooner or later someone's gonna get bored of that genre.

>>80779384Now draw them holding hands
>>80779335I think that other anon is talking about the reservations everyone in the movie had about Judy becoming a cop which makes sense from a practical point of view.
>>80779367That still doesn't mean it drops to zero, just that it makes less money than it did the previous weekend. It'll continue to hang around for a while and won't finish its theatrical run for at least another month and a half or so.Besides, I'm more looking forward to the other other movie coming out on March 25th.
