If Zootopia were a show, would you rather it be Computer Generated or 2d Animated,3D: End up looking like kung fu panda legend of awesomeness 2D: Would look good but very restricted in doing sequences and facial expressions
If it was made with CG it would just look like a distractingly shitty downgrade from the movie, like Back at the Barnyard, Legends of Awesomeness, Penguins of Madagascar, etc.So 2D.
>>80743075>If it was made with CG it would just look like a distractingly shitty downgrade from the movieThis.
>>80648300Probably 2D. Question: were there any birds in Zootopia? I can't recall any.
>>80742961I'd want it like those 2d sequences from Kung Fu Panda 2. Simple little short stories with their own unique charm.Agreed with the others about the 3d.
https://youtu.be/6XQcrzBD5AAwhy don't you get to see Zootopia? you've already seen Deadpool
Man, this old concept is almost too bleak to watch. Like a Blomkamp movie, but with less gangsta speak, pretension, and Christian imagery.

oh there we goanyway, why is no one wondering why Otterton was in the nude clubhe enjoys naked yoga?
>>80745686You ever done naked yoga? Honestly really relaxing. Though, I do it in the privacy in my home rather than go to any naturalist clubs.
>>80745727wouldn't yoga pants and undershirt be enoughit strikes me more of Mr. Otterton being kinky
>>80745724is there a version with Nicolas? Piberius is such a qt 3.4 i want to nuzzle him.
The image is part of the brand. Don't change the image if you want to attract the average movie-goer who would not otherwise be inclined to watch Disney TV cartoons.
>>80744698>gotta have opposites dark and light, light and dark in painting. it's like in life>gotta have a little sadness once in a while so you know when the good times come-bob rossonly problem is that the original zootopia wasn't just "little sadness" it would have been a devastating feel ride
>>80742961I wish Zootopia the movie was 2D. I watched Robin Hood a few weeks ago and I was reminded of how expressive and appealing 2D animation is.
>>80745686The audience are supposed to wonder. It's a red-herring and worked well, since it makes you suspicious of the otter.
>>80745763Not that I know of.Here, be the change you want to see.
>>80745853suspicious of his lewdness?
>>80745676BTW, 400 words pushes you above 5k. I make sure whenever I can, I push my fics up a class level.
>>80745868Nicholas Piberius WildeThat's his full name as by Byron. (It's a pun on James Tiberius Kirk)
>>80745802these collars remind me of this movie. glad they scrapped this idea.>>80745868>he doesnt know.Loot at him and Laugh!
>>80745877Suspicious of his secrets and interests that seem too wild for his looks.>meek-looking otter likes nude yoga>possibly hiding it from his wife>goes savage and actually attacks the big jaguar driver>disappears into the night
Anyone have any pictures of zpd cop cars?
>>80742961The answer is always 2D, 3D limits things too much in television. And besides, Disney has become accustomed to Toon Boom.
>>80745896Damn, I didn't realize that it was that close. I think I can get it up there once I go through again and add more.
>>80745927yeah but he's a victim, which was established early
>>807429612D, and have the same animation like Lion Guard or 7D
>>80746016i know why they cut out badger lady, but this handsome little sand fox should have bigger role, he wasnt even at the dance party FFS!
>>80746073but badger lady is in the movie
>>80746095Not the original character though, just the model
>>80746095I mean CRAZY badger lady who was nick's friend, badger doc was okay.
>>80745971I guess I have to spell this out for you.The otter is one of the missing mammals. No one knows why he disappeared. Turns out he was last seen in a nude yoga place, which is surprising since he looks such a meek otter with his knitted vest and glasses. Then we find out he was in a limo, owned by a mob boss, which makes you wonder why a meek otter is connected with a mob boss. Turns out he was a mob boss florist, even treated like family, and he wanted to tell something important before he disappeared. Was he attack? No, turns out HE attacked, and even almost blinded the big ass feline driver, before disappearing into the night. The whole thing is supposed to make the viewers think of the whole mystery/case. A joke about him going to a nude yoga club seems kind of blatant and would ruin the pacing. It's a joke the viewer should formulate in their heads, not have the other characters point it out and laugh while the mystery was going on.
>>80746123>>80746117Ah I see.
>>80745727there is alot of naked yoga on youtube suprisingly enough
>>80746149>Clawhauser of Zootopia 2a man can dream, can i?
>>80746133No I get your point, but even with that in mind, in the end he still is a victim.
>>80746237Keywords there are "in the end". While the whole case was going, it was mysterious and Mr. Big's and Manchas' accounts on what happened make you suspicious of the otter. At that point, we still didn't know if he was truly a victim or a perpetrator. There might be a jab about him in a short or tv series or sequel for going to the nude yoga club.
>>80746266Great job, anon. Was that fun? You forgot to sign your drawing there, bud.
>>80746266like a ferrari
i liked these insults toward judy, when they mistake her for a scout, plush toy or easter ornament.
Alright, writefags. Here's an idea for you:>Judy's having a hard time lately in the ZPD>there's something going on in Zootopia's model and z-idol scene>maybe several murders>Judy is forced to go undercover, since she's the only female cop that can do it>has to disguise herself a bit to look like just an ordinary bunny>she has to infiltrate of Zootopia's biggest producer of z-idols as an assistant>by accident she ends up on TV, the producer notices Judy and wants her to work for him>Bogo demands her to accept the offer to get more evidence>Clawhauser goes undercover too as her bodyguard>within days Judy gains a lot of fans>she realizes that her fans don't just like her for being a cute bunny, but that they think she's pretty>Judy enjoys the attention and thinks about leaving the ZPD for modeling and acting>Nick has to get her out of it before she goes deeper down the idol hell>and of course solve the case
>>807429612d would be betterIf it was 3D it would have significant downgrade at least Imo I'm pretty sure there is going to be a series but I seriously doubt it will have the quality characters of the movie > no character development > status quo always restored
>>80746297You didn't account for the other 13 animals though. Like, you wouldn't really suspect him of anything, even if he attacked, since they mentioned "all predators" early on. If anything, it'll clue you about preds going wild. But I see your point.
>>80746179What do you mean? You want Clawhauser to become a conspiracy nut?
>>80746356Super detail Zootopia plushies when?!
You think this movie would spawn a lego set? Then again the only Disney titles (Marvel not included) to get a lego set are those princess related....actually I'm surprised at the rather small amount of Zootopia merch.
>>80746358Judy dealing with being a media darling is interesting, but I think its out of character for her to even CONSIDER going into 'Idol Hell', especially since we've covered Judy turning down becoming a PR symbol for the police force. Now Nick? Being beloved, looked up to, idolized? That might go straight to his head.
>>80746395he's a comedy relief character>>80746404there must be bigger demand for the merch of this movie, THEN they will think about improving their quality.
>>80746407I don't think Disney espected it to be such a hit. It's more of a wild card for their studio to do something they really wanted to do.Moana is their planned big release. It even comes out around the holidays.
>>80746491>Zootopia is a black sheep that will never get any major attention or release from disneyfuck this gay earth
>>80746468lol look at how mad this guy is about people talking about a cartoon.
>>80746407yeah me too, frozen EXPLODED and then there was such a demand for the merch.. will happen same for Zootopia? I wish. As for the lego sets... animals wouldnt translate well to lego , there was a Chima toy line where minifgs were all animal based.. they all looked kinda "off".we're stuck with this cheap plastic twopacks from Tomy.
>>80746511Have faith, anon.
>>80746382I did account. Why wouldn't you suspect of him just because they mentioned "all predators"? He was about to tell something really important to Mr. Big. Not that he's the big bad but that he could be up to no good with other mammals.
>>80746511Its called a surprise hit. It'll take a little longer because its not ready to go n o w but by god there'll be merch.
>>80746540wuhthe chima figures are great>>80746561I hope by the time they release merch, there's still interest
>>80746407I also thought that the merch is too limited. Then again, I think they're waiting if the movie would go big. I'm hoping they're rectifying this.
>>80746456>specially since we've covered Judy turning down becoming a PR symbol for the police forceBecause she felt guilty of what "she" did to the city. Now if her presence can make everyone happy, I think she'd consider it. Of course Judy would have to be naive about that job.>>80746396Thanks! Looking forward to it!
>>80746468>spammingThe Spiderman threads were spamming. Don't be so overdramatic.
>>80746560In the mafia scene, I thought he was kidnapped by the mafia like the rest, rather than being associated with them. We didn't really know he was about to tell something to Mr. Big until it was brought up by him.
>>80746587I get the impression that Disney wasn't expecting this to hit like it did. I think the release date they chose for it and the lack of merch shows this.
>>80746491Sadly this. Zootopia was released on fucking February/March.
>>80746623show != actual minifig qualitythey're pretty good
>>80743075>He hasn't watched All Hail King Julien, Defenders of Berk and Puss In Boots. The tech has come a long ways.
>>80746540I really don't like the plastic figures. The talking stuffed toys were okay but the recorded lines were disappointing for Nick.If only tsumtsums were easy to buy.
>>80746491oh, so its this generations Lion King? and Moana is its Pocahontas? I can dig it
>>80746666>all those exposed musclestoo bad we'll never see them in a "realistic", non-lego look
>>80746621Well yeah, it goes from "was he kidnapped and attacked by the mob boss" to "he was about to tell Mr. Big something important" and then to "goddamn he attacked and went savage all of a sudden what the fuck"So bottom line, he was supposed to be a suspicious otter and that worked well with the mystery.
>>80746652>>80746641>>80746561it's all about demand now. so far i've seen these toys warming the shelves.the van isnt even out yet., no word if it will be actually released.
>we still don't know her name
>>80746683>If only tsumtsums were easy to buyThey're hard to buy? I got pic related last week without any real effort. They're really nice, one of the best plushes I've bought in a long time.
White people got BTFO in this movie
>>80746760go home, Byron, you're drunk.
>>80746733I hope they increase the quality cause the plastic figs look like shit.So far, the only Zootopia merch I want to buy are the artbook and the stuffed tsumtsums.>>80746760I'm mad jelly, anon. It's hard to get it where I live.
>>80745686Why wouldn't a florist arrange plants at a nudist club?
any brave fellas yet who put this on their vans?
>>80746617Liking the filename
>>80746667Puss in boots looks awful though.
>>80746786You did it, anon. And you even signed it. I'm proud of you.
>>80746815he goes there for yoga
>>80746815The yak specifically said the otter goes there to yoga and his instructor is the elephant. He's been going there for 6 years.
>>80746491>Moana is their planned big release. It even comes out around the holidays. This raises an interesting point come Oscar time.It seems clear to me that either Zootopia or Moana is going to win because voters will blindly cast their ballot for Disney (also Pixar sequels, sans Toy Story 3, has not been as successful at the Oscars - so I'm thinking one of the two Disney-Disney films will nab the Oscar unless Finding Dory gets raves). Not that Oscars mean anything, especially when it comes to animation, but which one is going to get the preference of the blind voters? Zootopia will probably end up being the better quality film, but Moana is released right in the prime of Oscar season and is a musical.
>Nick is a sleek sports car
>>80745931I'm actually quite satisfied with this.
>>80744698That is heartbreaking. Is that official art?
>>80746865>>80746329he looks like the kind of guy to have multiple layers of irony
>>80745931Someone shop Nick's face on a sports car.
>>80746937it isn't concept art, so no it is not official but it does fit the universe
>>80746923Why does this webm feel like I'm watching a Youtube poop or some sort of shitpost
>>80744698this is concept art? it looks like typical furry art
>>80746491>Moana is their planned big release. It even comes out around the holidays.Moana is supposed to be their big release?
>>80746540Speaking of Frozen, I just realized that, while you can't really do a straight-up "first __ days" comparison with that vs. Zootopia due to Frozen's limited release followed by Wednesday wide launch, Zootopia just pulled ahead of Frozen sometime on Saturday even if you give Frozen a week-long head start to compensate.Or, to slightly simplify that, Zootopia has earned more in its first 10 days than Frozen did in its first 17.
>>80746540This is why, as much as I'd like it, I do not think Zootopia will surpass Frozen. Frozen hit every single little girl and directly aimed at that demographic and it worked, while Zootopia aimed at a much broader message and that also worked but because it's broader (and they don't have a Let It Go tier song that can be misinterpreted for women empowerment) it won't reach hardcore memetic status
>>80746922>Not that Oscars mean anything,While I think the same about these glorified movie commercials, I do believe it would mean a lot if Zootopia gets a nomination for best picture. That or Bateman/Goodwin for best actors.
>>80746948He seems like a pretty nice fellow.>As our interview nears its end, Howard muses on an animation career that began as a tour guide at the long gone Orlando animation studio inside what was once Disney-MGM Studios. “I applied four times, but they kept saying no. I thought in the meantime if I can’t get down there where I want to be at that drawing desk, I can at least be close to what I love so much. I was this poor kid, face pressed against the window.” [Literally; the animation studio was behind glass so tourists could walk through the facility and look over the artists’ shoulders as they worked.] Howard finally made it in as an inbetweener on Pocahontas, and worked his way up to director.
>>80747007Thats fanart based on concept art.
>>80747060>messagethat was supposed to say "audience"
>>80747048i liked the one where nick was munching crabbiy pattyand the one wihere he asks judy if he can steal wolf's van.
>>80746009How the hell does she reach the pedals?>>80742961I'd probably stick with 2d, myself. The 3d in zootopia was good enough that I feel spoiled by it now and if they were to downgrade it owuld just feel painful. With 2d animation, shifting styles a bit feels even natural and can allow for action sequences to use various techniques to keep things simple but effective.>>80746358I'm not feeling it too much. Idol Judy is cute to imagine, but all in all, I can't imagine what would be burning her in the ZPD that's NOT something big, important, and would basically drag everyone into things (like a massive corruptiong scandal and coverup) and I can't see Nick trying to dissuade her.
>>80747072Not gonna happen with the acting - I don't think it's even allowed to nominate someone for voice acting.I'm tired of Disney worship and circle-jerking, but honestly I enjoyed this movie enough where I'd love to see it get some big nominations. I could see it possibly snag a screenplay nomination if it maintains momentum, and maybe Best Song and Score in addition to Best Animation. Could get Best Picture, but it'll be hard seeing as it is only March. Moana will get a song nomination and a BAF nom, much like Frozen but I see it being met with much more lukewarm reviews (I'm thinking around 85-89% on RT). Though it does star a non-white character in a musical just before Oscar time... but Zootopia actually tackles the themes of racism/prejudice/etc. Also you just know there will be that one "Let it Go" like song that is played over and over again before the Oscars, resulting in Moana getting all of the attention. I still think Finding Dory will fall in the 70% range on RT and possibly miss out on a nomination like Monsters U.
I'm not a furry for liking this, right?
>>80747202no, you're a cancer for liking a shitmon
>>80747171Isn't it called Zoogle?
>>80747202Depends on how you're "liking" it.
>>80747186>Also you just know there will be that one "Let it Go" like song that is played over and over again before the Oscars, resulting in Moana getting all of the attention. Not every Disney movie has that kind of song. The last Disney main song I can think of that had a title song that memetic and widespread was Tarzan's Son of Man, and that was like 15 years ago. Also I'm being generous, I'd probably realistically say the last one was Circle of Life
>>80743075Whatever looks best when having a lower budget
>>80747072The problem with nominating a bunny for acting is the actress only provides the voice instead of the complete package, and you'd have to co-nominate all the character animators for the performance.
>>80747212>>80747217I-I just meant liking Zootopia.I just wanted to use a cute picture with my post.
>Zootopia feels like a Pixar movie but it's actually Disney>The Good Dinosaur is modern Pixar
>>80747271>needing to label product quality towards a companyyou're as bad as console warriors
>>80747217This.Isn't a "furry" someone who is sexually attracted to an animal? And want to dress up as an animal? And even feel compelled to do animal noises unironically?I will never understand furries.
>>80747261No, you're not a furry.
>>80747248Well, thats not exactpy true. All of thr voice recordings are taped, the animators use the actors face and motions to animate the character.
>>80746922While zootopia is better then frozen by the Kessel run it will never outsell it,Frozen was aimed at little girls and got the swjs onboard along with the minion teir Olaf selling, zootopia was aimed at slightly older kids and FurriesWith how frozen went can almost gaurentee Mona is just going to be the islander version of frozen and it's going to crush zootopia at the awards despite being worse
>>80747212Bruh Lop is good.
>>80747327They take a bit of the actor's movements, but it's not 100% the actor's.
>>80747239I loaded it up on Youtube and I don't even remember that song. Looked in related videos and turns out the song from Tarzan that I actually remember was You'll Be In My Heart.
>>80747337disgustingthere's another rabbit who doesn't need mega to be good, is actually pretty good on its own, and isn't a furrybait
>>80747336who said Moana will be worse?maybe it's a different flavour of Good?
So, if a sequel were to happen where Nick and Judy are explicitly romantically involved and the themes of the film would center around controversies regarding interspecies, prey/predator, or bunny/fox relationships in Zootopia, which would you prefer:>the issue is raised by having Nick and Judy become a couple over the course of the movieOr>the issue is raised by having them already be married by the start of the movie and the conflict comes when they want to adopt a child
Ok, so the most obvious idea for a sequel suggested has been that they introduce lizards and birds. I could see that - to reduce international tensions, they set up a bird/reptile district in Zootopia so it becomes more multicultural and Nick and Judy, being the most well-known faces of predator/prey integration and cooperation, have to make sure nothing upsets the initial integration. But what about a second, equally obvious sequel idea: Mr. Big wants to make some big moves (so to speak) and Judy has to decide where her loyalties ultimately lie?Or a combination of both? While the reptiles and birds are introduced into their own district and the hustle and bustle of the big city, Judy discovers that Mr. Big is involved in some dastardly plot to bust up the integration plot and needs to choose her loyalties.Just as the first movie's predator/prey plot is actually a backdrop to the whole "you can be what you want" story, the second one's integration plot could serve as a backdrop for "now that you are what you want to be, can you stay loyal to what you are?"
>>80747312I don't know. Furries that are actually attracted to animals make up a minuscule portion of that group. There are plenty of people who just like the art or whatever and tend to shy away from the people who dress up and make animal noises.
>>80747377It's being made by the same people who did The Princess and the Frog, or so I've heard. I wouldn't expect anything good, unless they've seriously gotten their shit together. Which is a shame, because the film is about two things I enjoy: Polynesians and navigators.
>>80747361Okay dude, whatever floats your boat.
>>80747341Its still more than "just the voice"
I want more Manchas
>>80747460I want to see his family.
>>80747412I don't think the interspecies relationship thing needs or even should be the main focus, just have it be one of the main side-plots.
>>80746923>Drive By Smugging
>>80747434>It's being made by the same people who did The Princess and the Frog, or so I've heard.so it's mediocre thenand I dunno, it looks more like hollywood polynesiaCivV did polynesia more justice
>>80747377I'm guessing it is gonna be another mediocre musical bolstered by decent songs and sjw critics. And it will win all of the awards, because voters don't give a shit about animation and will vote for the most recent Disney film their kids watched.
>>80746667>>80746849Seriously, defend this shit Puss in Boots-fan anon
>>80747007That's yiff art. The next two pages is Nick fucking the kid and the kid saying that Nick's cock is the best ride in the park.
>>80747423Mostly in it for the art myself Would never wear a fursuit and there's no way in hell a human could even Onomatopoeia a fox vocalization,Used to wear tails around but I grew out of it and iv been distancing myself from the fandom as of late
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kR1MOTrobLQ>your average zootopia fan
>>80747412The former. I don't want to see a Nick and Judy who are in an established, comfortable relationship yet. I want to see an almost brand-new relationship where they're essentially charting new waters and introducing the other to their parent(s) and shit. If you start it with them married you miss so much.
>>80747412>having the issue be the main plotNo you dumbass
>>80747377I would love to be pleasantly surprised by Moana like I was by Zootopia but I am seriously doubting that it has much to offer outside of the typical Disney Princess on a journey fare. I really want it to be good though.
>>80747412Why would they already be married by the start? They only knew each other for a week at most in the first movie; we've never actually seen them as a couple.
So I checked Byron Howard's twitter, and he never really says that the UK gets a corgi.
>>80747506Never wore the tail, but otherwise this.
>>80747507Looks like he does a lot of unboxing anon.
>>80747493One kid looks like a real kid and the others are stylized?
>>80747553Corgi's wouldn't exist in Zootopia.
>>80747474>>80747514I'm talking about one part of it, not saying that would be the main plot. It would just be important, as the themes of prejudice are in the movie we have now.
>>80747512Despite what people say about it proving they're in love, the end of this movie is merely them being in a close friendship with banter. You can't start the next film with them already being a couple. You gotta show-don't-tell us the details building up to that.
nick is super cute
>Oscarshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gk6jsoXPz-gman, that was great idea with these interviews.
>>80747590I know, but there's a screenshot that keeps getting reposted that says the UK gets a corgi.

>>80746537On /co, no less!
>>80747621>those commentsoh god, they actually support this>>80747637LM and Atlantis were mediocre though.
>>80747596Exactly. If fox/bunny relationships are so taboo, you need to have us there at the beginning, so we can see them overcoming difficulties and experiencing something that no one's ever tried before.
I'm hoping that in the sequel, we'll get reptiles and birds. Would be kind of neat if they had Nick and Judy travel to those cities in some sort of cop exchange program and we got a bit of culture clash.>>80746123>>80746149Someone needs to make an edit of that "the jews did this" .gif with Honey. Hoping we get her as a fun side character if there's a sequel. >>80746617>cumon, smug it up
>>80747637>Atlantis >Good I'll give you the rest, though, but that was 20 years ago.

>>80747677these cars look so dull compared to concept art...
>>80747412>>80747474>>80747593Me, I've always felt that if there was going to be an "interspecies issue" it wouldn't be whether it's allowed or not it's okay (the creators have even said interspecies relationships and marriage are a thing. Good god, imagine how bad the riots were after Judy's press conference with Predator/Prey couples) but probably the issue is just that stereotyping keeps cropping up. Like Judy is constantly being told to check on Nick because "You can't trust a fox to be as faithful lover" or Nick being warned..I'm not sure what kind of stereotypes would apply to bunnies and relationships that would be a legit pisser. Maybe saying they're "child-like"?>>80747590I wonder if Caspian Tigers and Hokkaido wolves are still a thing there?

why doesnt nick have whiskers
>>80747704Isn't that the point? They're different but blend in well. And aren't those still the same in the concept art?
>>80747656Reptiles had a hundred million years longer than mammals to evolve, but they are still dumb as dirt. If the premise of Zootopia is that animals evolved in the absence of primates, then reptiles already missed the evolutionary boat back when the earth was still the ideal environment for them.
>>80747863Of course I did, also what kind of look-a-like car was driving Flash in the end? Looked like some kind of modern Mustang

Am I going crazy here?Few years ago two of my friends had split and I took it worse then my own recent-ish break up, just because they were "the couple" of the friend group, you know the one, together since god knows when, with an old couple vibe going on: you always see one with the other, playful banter, and all that. Now, after watching a fucking cartoon with fake computer-generated characters I feel as empty as I felt then. Please someone reassure me that they are together, why the end had to be so ambiguous.I am beyond help. Maybe that's a substitute for my loneliness, idk.
>>80747948>>80747984I think if you cross one of those lines (porn, wanting a costume, wanting to be an animal, making animal noises, making it your lifestyle, attracted to an animal, etc), you're a furry.

Let's be honest here, most of you guys are furries or at the very least furries in denial. Tell me anon. What animal would you be in zootopia?
>>80747948If we're being honest, a lot of it is self applied. The difference between a guy who likes Zootopia and a furry who likes it is the second person is calling himself a furry. Unless you count fursuit and conventions there isn't a line you cross. The problem is that some extremely deviant and antisocial people call themselves furries, so nobody wants to be one. Or like anything associated with the term. But liking Zootopia doesn't make you furry any more than liking the John Cena prank call makes you a hardcore wrestling fan.

I like the idea of Nick and Judy being assigned to security duty for a few reptiles and/or bird immigrants that are trying to integrate into mammalian society. Think how the National Guard assigned individual soldiers as a precaution to minority students back in the 1960's when they attempted to integrate into the Little Rock Arkansas school system. If they found a way to make it interesting without being too preachy, it might work. >the reptiles and birds like to eat live fish and insects>this grosses Nick and Judy out>sort of like how western people feel about freshly killed/ still moving authentic Asian cuisine>Judy freaks out when she accidentally walks into an occupied bathroom and sees a snake consuming it's own shed skin>>80748172>>80748194Holy shit this is really cool.

The relative is involved in some way and Nick is weary as to whether their involvement is the result of being caught in the middle of the conspiracy or if its because they are in on it.

>>807429612D series that mixes 11-minute shorts with half-hour plot-centric episodes. Have a "myth arc" happen in the background that gets touched upon from time to time before coming to fruition near the end. Obviously there's only so much that can be done with the movie characters, so plot development/character arcs should probably be focused on original characters made for the show. I'm starting to understand people's dissatisfaction with the climax of the final act. Looking at the horned shaped buildings, I thought they were going to use that architecture for some interesting action sequences. I loved all the action, but with a world so well thought out and huge, so much was left untapped. It's only natural and hopefully it's only natural that more content follows.

>>80751876This would make an awesome fic.
>>80751765Hard to say.Honestly, and I can't believe I'm saying this about a modern Disney film... I think the strength in Zootopia is its script. The story is by far the most balanced and complex one I've seen from Disney in a long time.It juggles so much in such a short runtime that it's actually incredible. Also there are no jarring tonal shifts like there was in the Lion King (father dies... here come Timon and Pumbaa!!)Not that I dislike Lion King, hell it's a masterpiece, but Zootopia's story was stronger imho. Perhaps not as tragic or dark, but more complex.
>>80751265They probably were afraid of having too much shipteasing for just the first movie. Meeting Judy's parents would be a very personal thing that would imply to the audience that they're getting closer.

>>80751792Fuck what did I miss?
>>80751948Because it sounds like chief Bogo made it up just so he could assign Clawhauser to it.
>>80751975Well if Im correct, that scene was in the original draft where it seems they went to Judy's parents out of necessity rather than just wanting them to meet Nick since theres scenes of him lying in a bed, bandaged, and surrounded by little bunnies. But yeah, with the version we got, there really wasn't anywhere in it for him to meet them. he never even leaves Zootopia and most of the movie happens over 48 hours and then after that they aren't on speaking terms for a few weeks. So yeah, I understand perfectly well why it couldn't happen in the first movie. I'm just hoping it happens in the second one

Finding Dory is a Pixar sequel, and besides Toy Story 3 they usually go un-noticed by the Academy.Moana has an advantage of being released right around Oscar time and being a musical AND being about non-white characters (following last year's "Oscarsowhite" B.S.), but honestly I don't think it'll be anything other than a decent musical. About a 85-89% on RT.Normally this would be enough to beat a film critics and audiences loved, but Zootopia has Disney backing it as well. Also it actually has themes related to prejudice and whatnot, so that might help it against Moana.

>>80752844>And then they come into a thread wanting to discuss it, and they just see silly self-fulfillment fanficsMaybe you can just, I dunno, not read them? It's not like they're flooding the thread either. There's also a Hide Post function if they trigger you that much, anon.
>>80752894That's because he's a dog, fucking idiot
>>80752905Her legs plus the force of being propelled from a wrestling ring rope.
>>80752942foxes arent dogs retard
>>80752957plus the rhinos hand
>>80752971>implying foxes are canines
>>80752942You didn't had to get triggered over a mistake, anon. Also>dog>not fox
>>80753001>>80752984>>80752971Foxes are canids, the same family as wolves and dogs.
>>80752921>trigger you that muchI actually just ignore/not read. I was just explaining why it's like that for others, don't get so assblasted. I also think they're voicing out to keep the fanfics a minimum. While I understand there are people who write/read fanfic here, I also understand the need to keep it a minimum. I only went to /frz/ only a couple of times to check it out, but I remember so much shit from it. I understand why mods/people are cautious.
>>80752971>>80752984>>80753024I didn't think I would be taken this seriously.
>>80752957>>80752905So if she tried giving a foot/thighjob she can tear and/or snap a penis in half easily?
>>80753039>implying owls are birds
>>80753061>snap a penis in half five words I never want to see in order ever again.
is duke an animal in zootopia?I need to know it for my fanfic
>>80753062They are. Birds are part of the Aves class, as are owls.
>>80752802Fuck me the show looks so terrible.
>>80750893Late to the party here. What exactly got finished here?
>>80752957she kicked out a ram out of train's windowdiagonaly.
>>80753130i can see you're not up to date on memes buddy
>>80753043>I was just explaining why it's like that for othersExcept it shouldn't be a problem for any sane, rational human. I don't like fanfiction either but I'm perfectly capable of ignoring it instead of bitching and shitposting about it being here.If the whole damn thread fills up with fanfiction and its discussion, yes, that's a bit of a problem. But we're nowhere near that point yet. Not even close. The anon who's repeatedly shit-talking people and telling them to "go back to /trash/" and such is apparently incapable of using the Hide Post function.
>>80753116He'd be lion with a stupid buzz cut or something.
>>80753116he must be a predator
>>80752720Not just Judy
>>80753166a fan fic called sunlight city. I cant link it or else mods will be mad
>>80753043But we aren't being flooded by fics.If that does happen, then sure we can institute a flat ban against them, but it hasn't happened yet. Theres only a few writers who actually post their stuff here. And none of them that I've seen have been obnoxious about it. They just wanna let people know that they've updated and thats usually it.And thats easy enough to just ignore or filter
>>80753198Get out, animals.
Someone please post a cap of the scene where Nick and Judy are hugging and Nick teases her with the carrot in a platonic way
>>80753166Not finished but updatedsee>>80753234
>>80753195he is asking if duke nukem is an animal, not what animal he would be.
>>80753238>>80753184>not purging all fanfiction
>>80753184Like I said, I think people are just cautious and trying to cut out the bud early on.
>>80753198Enjoy your ban.
>>80753238Finally someone with some sense
>>80753198At least that's only 18. You had 72 for Judy
>>80752971Foxes are close relatives to dogs. They are all part of the canid family.
>>80753238Like I said, people are just trying to keep it to a minimum earlier on. People and mods are just being cautious and are nipping the bud early on.
>>80753374Theres a difference between "keeping it to a minimum" and "Outright banning it"
>>80753338I have 129 for nick
>>80753148The animation has nothing on the movies but a lot of episodes are well written, and it gives lots of character development to the spring cat that the movies don't have time for.
>>807534270 is the bare minimum :^)
>>80752815>could kick over a fox and pull sick flips as a kid>KO'd a fucking rhino>all the 50-fold body height jumps she did during the chase scenes>did so many squats she could prevent those stone buindings in little rodentia from falling over>all that long distance running>doing hanging situps while studyingshe's a literal cardiobunny>>80753116something really douchey like a buff hyena with the same haircut

>>80753436Oh, thank you! Any chance you could make some pictures out it? I'm not very tech-savvy
Alright but real talk, what're the odds of Disney releasing some kind of exclusive edition dvd? With a box full of stuff and all that
>>80753481NO YOU DELETE THIS
>>80753195>>80753468well I was not asking what animal he would be but thanks anyway. it was supposed to be a joke
>>80753436But really, thank you so much, you made my day!
>>80753536DELETE THIS THREAD
>>80753427That's the only way for mods to signal that to fanfic posters. They even autosage threads sometimes when there are two or three Zootopia threads at a time.
>>80753535Have they ever done that in the past?I'd buy a Bluray anyways just to have an HD copy of the movie, but it'd be cool if they included clips/deleted scenes from the original story.
>>80753470I answered for him. I don't know if he has 129 or not
>>80753536NO!!! YOU FUCKING DELETE THIS!!! I'M FUCKING TIRED OF THIS SHIT IN MY ZOOTOPIA THREADS!!!! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>80753627Release us from this hell
>>80753595I just think they are being too overzealous. I think we can have some fics posted without all threads devolving into utter shit. I know /frg/ was terrible but there was more to that than just fan fiction posting
>>80753600I'll get they blu-ray for sure as well, but since this is the first disney movie I actually care about I have no knowledge of them releasing anything extra fancy pertaining their movies? Maybe Fantasia had some neat stuff? I dunno if you even posed a question
>>80753701>I just think they are being too overzealousThat's just how mods are. This isn't something new.
>>80753701>I think we can have some fics posted without all threads devolving into utter shit.never happened
>>80753701The real institutionalizing of it started with fanfictions. Until thw fanfictions got popular the threads were more about the movie, then that r9k story got made and everything was now about it.
>>80753627Yes, release me from this pit of despair.
>>80753726http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/Disney_Special_Edition_video_releasesLooks like they have released special editions; looks to be mostly bluray releases of old movies, though.
